The Creekside Cabin, nestled under a canopy of towering Western Red Cedar and Large Leaf Maple trees, sits right on the Tilton River. It’s conveniently located just 40 minutes from Mt. Rainier National Park and 50 minutes from White Pass. Whether you enjoy skiing, swimming, boating, fishing, or hiking, there’s no shortage of adventure to entertain and delight everyone in your group. Additionally, a short 8-minute drive will take you to the bustling town of Morton, where you’ll find amenities such as a well-stocked grocery store, charming coffee shops (serving delectable breakfasts), cafes, restaurants, a gas station, a bowling alley, and even a theater if you’re interested in catching a show.

The exterior of the cabin is covered in Western Red Cedar shingles and the porch is made from a lovely Montana flagstone. Inside you’re greeted with log beds and live edge tables sourced from fallen logs from around the property that were hand peeled by the owner and his daughter and made into furniture. Both the living room and the rear family room have wood fireplaces with river rock backdrops and plenty of wood sits just outside on the front porch to help you stay warm in the cool evenings.

The master bedroom holds a soft, quilted queen bed with a 100 % down comforter, soft cotton sheets, and extra pillows for an excellent night's sleep in the quiet of the country night. You will find extra linens and extra blankets in the hall closet. There is also a sitting area where you can put your feet up and store your luggage. An armoire sits at the foot of the bed to hold any clothing and shoes for your convenience.

The loft bedroom has 1 queen bed and 2 twin beds for a cozy atmosphere and lots of pillow talk. There is also a small sitting area up there to relax and unwind before crawling into bed. You will find a luggage rack for your luggage and a trunk at the foot of the queen bed for storing shoes and clothing.

There is also a hideaway bed in the rear living room that’s perfect for any littles you may have accompanying you.

(PLEASE NOTE: the LOFT bedroom is accessible only by a LADDER which is permanently affixed to the wall and can be difficult for young children to navigate. We ask that you familiarize yourself with the listing photos before booking).

There is a full kitchen with extensive kitchenware, basic seasonings, and a coffee bar that includes a Keurig Coffee maker and a variety of flavored and breakfast roast k-cups as well as hot chocolate and tea. The kitchen and living room have tall windows that reach towards the 18 foot ceilings and provide tons of natural light while providing you with a gorgeous view of the Tilton river located just beyond the back deck.

As you venture out to the back deck you will notice there are 2 claw foot tubs …. These glorified soaking tubs have access to hot water to indulge in a unique Creekside Cabin spa experience. Settle into the soaking tubs and listen to the roaring of the river and the rustling of the trees. You may even be joined by the local wildlife…

In addition to the back deck soaking tubs, there’s also a full bathroom with a walk- in tiled shower (complementary toiletries are provided), fluffy towels to wash away the day’s adventures.

Once you’ve renewed your energy there are boardgames and card games available for a raucous round of competition around the dining table or for those into a quieter form of entertainment there are adult coloring catalogs or a case full of books, classic and contemporary, alike, available to you.

In an effort to remain off- grid” and disconnected, there is no internet access and most carriers do NOT receive LTE/data on the property. Have no fear, however, there is data connection a few minutes down the road and in the town of Morton (less than 10 minutes away) and you will find with certain carriers you can grab a signal at the property gate entrance.

Firewood/kindling and lawn chairs are supplied for you to sit under the stars and indulge in smores or simply enjoy the outdoor fire pit beneath the stars.

Another unique feature you’ll find at the CreekSide Cabin is the TRUCK BED BAR which is always open for business during your stay. The Truck Bed Bar is exactly that, a Chevy truck bed the owner has creatively dressed up into a little DIY bartender’s paradise. There is also a propane BBQ Grill on the back deck for all your grilling needs.

Vehicle parking is plenty, and where you are located you can easily walk to the town for some second hand shopping, groceries, restaurants, and events happening in Mossyrock.
We do provide some bikes, but recommend bringing some along for riding into town, around the block, and on our paved path at the park if you wish.

This cozy cabin feel home offers some of the most spectacular views available at Mayfield Lake. You can enjoy views of the lake from almost every room in the house or while sipping a glass of wine sitting on the spacious deck. Outdoors there is a private patio seating area, hot tub, barbeque, fire pit and extensive landscaped yard. Indoors the great room offers high ceilings with TV/DVD/Stereo, books, games and internet access. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, cookware and utensils. The laundry room has a washer and dryer. Sheets, blankets and towels are all provided for our guests.

This is our lake house getaway for our family. There is a panoramic view of beautiful Mayfield Lake. There is a wrap-around deck on the upper level on three sides. We have furnished the 3090 square foot house to accommodate our ever-enlarging family. We have a garage with a 2-bedroom loft apartment next door (see vrbo 307616). Both the house and garage apartment are currently vacation properties. Between the two buildings, there are accommodations for 20+ people.

The house has 1 king bed, 2 queen beds, 6 twin beds and 2 queen-size sleeper sofas. We fit a memory foam pad to the sofa mattresses to make them quite comfortable. The kitchen is set up to allow you to cook your meals or there are several restaurants within short driving distances.

The real opportunity of this location and setup is that this is a great place to stay and relax or be as active as you want to be. Mayfield Lake was formed when a dam was built on the Cowlitz River. Mayfield Lake offers boating, water sports, fishing (8 varieties), hunting, and Ike Kinswa State Park for swimming and other children's activities. The nearest boat launch and lake access is at the Ike Kinswa State Park, which is just a 2-mile drive from the house. A Discover Pass is required for parking at the state park. There is sport fishing on the Cowlitz (salmon and steelhead in season), hiking in the hills and mountains, skiing/boarding at White Pass winters, and sightseeing in the Cascade Range.

A drive to Randle, WA puts you nestled in the middle of Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams, and Mt. St. Helens. The natural beauty of the area still puts me in awe after years of enjoyment. There are restaurants, horseback riding, and other services in the small towns around the area with the type of folks that are warm and welcoming.

The Harmony Retreat is located less than 2 miles north of Mossyrock, WA (20 miles east of I-5's exit 68, off US Hwy 12/White Pass Scenic Byway), half way between Seattle and Portland. It's on the east end of beautiful Mayfield Lake in a lakeside neighborhood of mostly vacation homes, with some year-round residents.

The west-facing custom-built home has filtered lake views from most of the rooms and from the covered deck. In the evening, watch the sun set over the glistening lake, and at night, gaze at the stars shining brightly in the night sky, unobstructed by city lights. In winter, snow sports are just an hour away at White Pass Ski Resort and Mt. Rainier National Park.

ACCOMMODATIONS

The home is well-equipped for a family or small group to enjoy (maximum 7 people, including no more than 6 adults), yet intimate enough for a couple's romantic getaway. The primary bedroom upstairs has a new king bed and a twin convertible chair-bed. This cozy room also has a vaulted ceiling and ceiling fan, comfortable chairs for reading/relaxing, 32" smart HDTV with Netflix (or log in to your own streaming subscriptions), and a full bathroom with a soaking tub and double sinks.

On the main level, the other bedroom has a queen bed and colorful boho decor, and a 32" smart HDTV (log in to your own streaming subscriptions). Across the hall, there's a second bathroom with tub/shower.

Besides the 2 bedrooms, other sleeping options in the open/non-private areas include:
* a double-size bed tucked into the alcove of the open loft adjacent to the upstairs bedroom

Relax on the patio, gather around the gas fire pit table to roast marshmallows, and share laughter and stories.

No matter the weather, the covered deck off the main floor invites guests to enjoy the fresh air, with several seating areas, a hammock, two dining tables, and a Weber gas grill.

NEARBY

The private community dock is just down the street, where you can launch your motor boat for a day of fishing (lake is open for fishing year-round) or water-skiing. Or bring your jet-skis, canoe, kayak, or raft to explore the 13-mile lake and adjacent Cowlitz River canyons. (Note that there is no boat moorage or tow vehicle parking; someone in your group will need to bring tow vehicle back to driveway after launching but it's a fairly short walk back.)

Across the street and through a greenbelt, there's a community swimming dock and lakeside picnic table. At the other end of the lake (15-minute drive), boat rentals are available at the marina.

Bike, jog, or walk on scenic country roads that meander through forest and meadows, where you're likely to spot farm animals, fields of flowers, wildlife, birds, and vistas of Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Adams, Mt. Rainier, and the neighboring foothills.

Or head out by car to visit the rural towns of Mossyrock (which has a few shopping and dining options) and nearby Morton, explore nature trails and the lake at Ike Kinswa State Park, see the Mossyrock Dam, go geocaching, take a day trip to Mt. This new lake view apartment is built on top of a private garage. There is a panoramic view of beautiful Mayfield Lake. We made a wrap-around deck on the north and east sides (for the view). We have furnished the 1080 square foot apartment as a place we would want to live in, but we own the larger house next door (see vrbo 314232) as our vacation property and added the garage/apartment for our future use. For the next few years, the apartment offers a great getaway place to enjoy yourself.

The two-bedroom apartment has queen beds to sleep four and two more persons could sleep on the fold-out sleeper sofa. The kitchen is set up to allow you to cook your meals or there are several restaurants within short drivings distances. Laundry room has full-size stacking units.

The real opportunity of this location and setup is that this is a great place to stay and relax or be as active as you want to be. Mayfield Lake was formed when a dam was built on the Cowlitz River. Mayfield Lake offers boating, water sports, fishing (8 varieties), hunting, and Ike Kinswa State Park for swimming and other children's activities. There is sport fishing on the Cowlitz (salmon and steelhead in season), hiking in the hills and mountains, skiing/boarding at White Pass winters, sightseeing in the Cascade Range.

A drive to Randle, WA puts you nestled in the middle of Mt. Rainier, Mt. Adams, and Mt. St. Helens. The natural beauty of the area still puts me in awe after years of enjoyment. There are restaurants, horseback riding, and other services in the small towns around the area with the type of folks that are warm and welcoming.

Casa De Gongas is the guesthouse on the same property as the homeowners. It is directly next to the main house. It is not attached and is its own separate home. The beginning of the driveway is a shared driveway and you will have your own parking next to the house.

Nestled in the trees is our tiny, rustic 256 sq ft studio cabin on a large yard and lots of parking!
It's just a quick walk down the hill to use of our private dock or Lake Mayfield marina! Located right between Mt Rainier and Mt St Helens, the little cabin is a great place to retreat, BBQ/cook, enjoy a bonfire, and sleep!
This adorable original cabin has a beautiful pine ceiling and a brand new remodel! Enjoy the beautiful quartz countertop in the well-stocked kitchen with pull-out faucet, full-size fridge, microwave, and more! The remodeled bathroom includes full shower with amenities, toilet, and sink. Snuggle up in the queen bed or pull out the full/queen sofa bed! Cabin is perfect for one or two people, but could (at most) squeeze two more small kids onto pull-out sofa bed. Note: they're all in same room. You will be comfortable year-round with the heat/AC mini-split temperature control and new double pane windows just installed. Memories will be made around the fire pit with plenty of included firewood to roast your marshmallows. As our guests, you will have access to our kayaks and paddleboards (already at our private dock from June through September, you do not have to carry to lake!).

The cabin can be rented either separately or together with the house on the upper property. Both are clearly marked and separate. Those renting the cabin also have the option to rent the adjacent full hookup RV spot. We also offer boat moorage from our private dock, so you don't have to trailer your boat every night! Ask host about additional service fees for mooring boat or RV spot!

Rules:
1. The 4 outdoor cameras (both properties) are for safety and security; they record audio and video with motion. One at house front door, house back door, driveway, and at front of cabin. No tampering with cameras or wifi/wifi extender. If you are having any trouble with wifi, please message host immediately.
2. Absolutely no smoking, vaping, e-cigs, marijuana within 20 feet of house or cabin. Violation of this will result in fine of $500.
3. Well-behaved dogs are allowed with $75 pet fee, per dog, in advance. Please bring dog crate if you plan to leave dog in cabin alone. Pet cannot be left in cabin alone/unsupervised without being crated. Guests must pick up dog poop from yard, bags will be provided.
4. Parents must supervise children at all times. Property has stacked firewood/fire pits, an active creek (includes creek-bed with uneven rocks), and possible other hazards, and cabin is not child-proofed.
5. If excessive cleaning is necessary after your stay, prevailing hourly professional cleaning fees will apply.
6. Absolutely nothing but human waste and reasonable amounts of toilet paper in toilets. No grease down the sink. Plumber costs will passed along to violators.
7. Please no acne products, tanning products, hair color products, nor oil-based lube products, as they can permanently stain our linens.
8. If anything breaks or isn't working during your stay, guests must notify host as soon as possible. Host will attempt to remedy the problem immediately.
9. Please respect privacy of neighboring house rental if you haven't rented both; including quiet hours.
10. Guests are not allowed access to cabin storage box, "landscape shed" on property, nor locked "cleaning closet" in primary bath of main house.
11. Kayaks and paddle boards available (for use from June thru Sept) from our dock. Guests must advise host prior to use, and must wear life jackets at all times. All guests must agree to dock rules in advance of use.
12. All guests shall be registered to reservation and disclosed to host. Undisclosed people and pets will incur a fee of $50 per violation per day, and possible termination of the reservation without refund. We do not allow guests to have their own guests at the rental because the lines get uncertain.

Clean, quality custom home for you for your enjoyment complete with access to our boat slip at Mayfield Lake Marina less than a mile walk or ride down the hill.

On the ground level of the house is an oversized 2-car garage with 1/2 bath, with an additional garage bay for your ATV or golf cart. Through the front door you enter the Foyer with large windows and glass french doors which lead out to a dry patio space below the covered deck with furniture to help you lounge. The foyer also has heated tile flooring with a thermostat which makes the space very comfortable. The foyer has twin bunk beds and a large couch, as well as a large wall mounted TV making it a great spot to hang out with plenty of sunshine.

Upstairs has an open concept living and kitchen area. Spacious kitchen island, new kitchen appliances to include oven and convection microwave, dishwasher, large fridge and induction stove top with hood. Fully functional kitchen ready for your family meals. The living room includes a sectional with ottoman, large TV, coat closet and vaulted ceiling throughout this area. The large laundry space is upstairs right outside these two bedrooms. All flooring upstairs is wide plank oak hardwoods which are soft under the feet. Casa De Gongas is the guesthouse on the same property as the homeowners. It is directly next to the main house. It is not attached and is its own separate home. The beginning of the driveway is a shared driveway and you will have your own parking next to the house.
The yard is a shared yard, however there is a blocked out area designated to our wonderful guests as Casa De Gongas

There is NO smoking allowed in the home or on the porch. If you need to smoke then please smoke near the fireplace or up by the road. Always pick up any mess from it.

This property includes a 2 bedroom house with one king bed in the primary bedroom, a bunk bed in the secondary bedroom (twin over queen), a bathroom with apartment sized laundry unit, well stocked kitchen, small dining area, electric fire place with couch, loveseat and armchair. For extra seating for your bunkhouse crew, enjoy pulling up two extra chairs from the bedrooms or the little bench next to the armchair.

The bunkhouse features a triple bunk bed (all twins), a small kitchenette, a small dining setup for two and a 3/4 bath. This is a very small “studio” style setup. Clean and cozy.

Guest access
You will have private access to the house (cabin) and bunkhouse. The yard is shared with anyone using the garage - usually my daughter and myself off and on for fun and art making. When we are there we generally just use the garage and the side of the yard by the garage + and gardening that might need to be tended to! The docks at the lake are shared with the neighborhood and you can use them during your stay too! No parking at the boat launch dock. Your best bet is to walk to the swim dock. You can use the boat launch and then park by the cabin, meeting your group back at the dock on foot.

There are not ideal settings in the app to explain the layout of the bunkhouse/studio nor the queen/twin bedroom. Hopefully the photos cover that for you, but ask if you have questions.

The space
The Harmony Retreat is located less than 2 miles north of Mossyrock, WA (20 miles east of I-5's exit 68, off US Hwy 12/White Pass Scenic Byway), on the east end of beautiful Mayfield Lake in a quiet, upscale lakeside neighborhood of mostly vacation homes, with some year-round residents.

The west-facing custom-built home across the street from the lake (not lakefront) has filtered lake views from most rooms and from the covered deck. In the evening, watch the sun set over the glistening lake, and at night, gaze at the stars shining brightly in the night sky, unobstructed by city lights. In winter, snow sports are just an hour away at White Pass Ski Resort and Mt. Rainier National Park.

ACCOMMODATIONS

The home is well-equipped for a family or small group to enjoy, yet intimate enough for a couple's romantic getaway. The primary bedroom upstairs has a king bed and twin convertible chair-bed. The cozy room also has a vaulted ceiling and ceiling fan, comfortable chairs for reading/relaxing, 32" Chromecast smart TV, and a full bathroom with a soaking tub and double sinks.

On the main level, the other bedroom has a queen bed and colorful boho decor, and a 32” Chromecast smart TV. Across the hall, there's a second bathroom with tub/shower.

Besides the 2 bedrooms, other sleeping options in the open/non-private areas include:
* a full size bed tucked into the alcove of the open loft adjacent to the upstairs bedroom
* a queen sofabed with added memory foam in the living room
* a twin rollaway bed

There's a portacrib for little ones, and two single sleeping mats that can be used outside on the deck if you want an outdoor sleeping/napping experience.

The Harmony Retreat's Great Room invites the outside in with its two-story wall of windows facing Mayfield Lake. This room features a wood-burning fireplace, 40” smart HDTV with DVD player, hardwood floors, ceiling fan, and two spacious sofas. The large, open kitchen is fully equipped with all you need to enjoy cooking and baking, including a new Jenn-Air range. The dining table and counter bar together seat 8.

The Harmony Retreat has secure wireless Internet access, so feel free to bring your tablet or laptop. There's a folding desk and chair available if you need to set up a remote workspace during your visit.

Central heating and the fireplace make the home comfy-cozy in winter. Air conditioning and ceiling fans keep things cool in the summer. There's a complete laundry room with washer, dryer, iron and ironing board too.

OUTSIDE

The 1/3-acre property features richly varied naturescaping, with paths, garden art, seating spots, and many whimsical touches. Lovingly created by the original owners, these grounds are a retreat too, a place to immerse yourself in nature's beauty while walking the paths or viewing from the second floor deck or the hot tub below the deck. Relax on the patio, gather around the gas fire pit table to roast marshmallows, and share laughter and stories.

No matter the weather, the covered deck off the main floor invites guests to enjoy the fresh air, with several seating areas, a hammock, two dining tables, and a Weber gas grill.

NEARBY

The private community dock is just down the street, where you can launch your motor boat for a day of fishing (lake is open for fishing year-round) or water-skiing. Or bring your jet-skis, canoe, kayak, or raft to explore the 13-mile lake and adjacent Cowlitz River canyons. (Note that there is no boat moorage or tow vehicle parking; boaters need to bring tow vehicle back to driveway, a short walk away.)

Across the street and through a greenbelt, there's a community swimming dock, small beach area, and lakeside picnic table. At the other end of the lake (15 min drive), boat rentals are available at the marina.

Bike, jog, or walk on scenic country roads that meander through forest and meadows, where you're likely to spot farm animals, fields of flowers, wildlife, birds, and vistas of Mt. St. Helens, Mt. Adams, Mt. Rainier, and the neighboring foothills.

Or head out by car to visit the rural towns of Mossyrock (which has some fun shopping and eating options) and nearby Morton, explore nature trails and the lake at Ike Kinswa State Park, see Mossyrock Dam, take a day trip to Mt. Rainier National Park to hit the trails (remember to bring chains Nov. 1-April 30!), hike to waterfalls, and learn about the park's natural wonders at the visitors center, check out a nearby cidery/brewery, enjoy snow sports at nearby White Pass, go shopping at the outlet and antique stores and have lunch at historic McMenamins in nearby Centralia, take a steam train ride through the countryside, view Mt. St. Helens from the secluded northeast approach, and drive the back roads of this unique region.

House is accessed by a flight of exterior stairs -- entrance is on second floor.

The community boat launch down the street is available to guests to use but there is no moorage or tow vehicle parking. Guest can launch their boat then someone in the group needs to return the vehicle and trailer to the driveway. (Parking lot is for vehicles with permits only.)

Other things to note
Property may have exterior security camera pointing towards driveway to confirm compliance with occupancy limits etc. There are no interior cameras or cameras in outdoor gathering places.

Pets are allowed ONLY in the off-season from October-May. They must be crated when guests are away from the house. Dog waste must be picked up and disposed in garbage. There is a $50/fee per pet per stay. While Airbnb may show a pet option for June-Sept., reservations with pets will not be accepted during those months.

Guests are provided a rental agreement by email to review and sign. Must be returned within 24 hours of receipt.

The rental agreement requires submitting a list of all guest names and ages, and information on vehicles, including boats, that will be at property (make, model, license plate). Directions and access code for keybox are sent after rental agreement is returned.

Failure to agree to terms of rental agreement or to return it in timely manner will forfeit any nonrefundable amounts paid. Please ask if you have specific questions before booking your stay. No smoking or fireworks on property. No motorized vehicles are allowed off-road in community.

Before check-out, guests are asked to load and turn on dishwasher, put garbage in bin outside, leave beds unmade (putting bedding to be laundered in the laundry room is appreciated but not required), and return key to keybox after locking house. Cleaning fee covers linen change, basic cleaning, and sanitizing; if house is left excessively dirty, guests will be charged for extra cleaning.

We have furnished the 1080 square foot apartment as a place we would want to live in, but we own the larger house next door as our vacation property (also available to rent) and added the garage/apartment for our future use. Paradise Point is truly unique because it is one of only a handful of private waterfront properties on the whole lake. Rentals are available year around to guests who enjoy all types of outdoor activities. Swimming, boating, fishing, hunting, snow skiing, hiking, sightseeing, golf, whitewater rafting, bike riding, canoeing, and much more are within a short distance of Paradise Point on Lake Mayfield.

This listing is for the entire property with both facilities. Facilities included in this listing include the main Mount St. Helens House and the Cascade Cabin. The St. Helens House is available to rent separately in certain times of the year. All guests renting the entire Paradise Point property will have access to the waterfront, private dock, fire pit, picnic tables, horseshoe pit and outdoor bathroom. With total sleeping accommodations for up to 18 guests, plus additional tenting and RV spots, Paradise Point is ideally suited for all of your family, social, and corporate activities. Rates and facilities available vary by season

PLEASE NOTE: Between the dates of June 16th and Labor Day, we reserve the calendar for groups renting the entire property (which includes the St Helens House and the Cascade Cabin). In all other months we do make the St. Helens House available desperately or with the Cascade Cabin
