Welcome to my Mountain Retreat. I hope that you will find it comfortable, tranquil and well equipped. My home is about a 3 minute drive to “downtown” Twain Harte, 15 minute drive to the Black Oak Casino and an easy 30 minute drive to Dodge Ridge Ski area. There are many nearby lakes and streams for fishing or a hike! The home is on a level lot with easy access to Highway 108. Our guests have access to Sugarpine lake which has swimming and fishing in the Summer! Note: Dogs are not allowed at Sugarpine lake and not allowed to be left alone in the house while you are out unless crated. We also have a large fenced dog run area. Please clean up after your dog and dispose "poop" in the outside trash can.

This 1150 square foot home has two bedrooms and two full baths and is not your typical old rundown cabin. This updated home has tons of mountain charm with knotty cedar ceilings, plank bamboo floors. It has been cosmetically remodeled with fresh paint, new floors and granite counters in the kitchen. The two bedrooms have brand new queen mattresses and very nice/new “lodge” style furnishings. Check out the pine log bed in the upstairs master bedroom and the Ranch decor in the downstairs bedroom. Both bedrooms and the living room have ceiling fans for your comfort during warm weather. In both bedrooms and the living room, we recently installed mini split air conditioning systems for your Summer comfort! We also have central heat and a fireplace for Winter comfort.

In the Living room you will find a “lodge” patterned couch and love seat as well as a brand new full futon which can be used as an additional sleeping area. The wood stove, 55 inch flat screen Smart TV and DVD/Blue ray player makes this room very comfortable to hang out in! I have a large number of Dvd’s that you can feel free to watch or you can certainly bring your own to view. We recently installed a new “Smart Tv”. Vizio offers quite a number of free tv options and you may also log into whatever streaming apps you may have access to. I have a very good Xfinity High Speed cable Internet (200+ mps). The internet can support work or school from home if needed. If you play, there is a guitar hanging on the wall. It is not a toy, so adults only please!
The large kitchen is fully equipped with newer appliances and tools for most basic cooking needs. It also contains a kitchen table which can seat six. You will also like the mason jar lighting fixtures with Edison style bulbs! There is a selection of table games also for your enjoyment.
In the Summer months you can enjoy the nice deck out back which includes tall cedars, seating and a BBQ. Also, I have private lake access at Sugar Pine Lake which I can offer to my guests.
My home will comfortably sleep six guests, if you use the futon in the living room. Note: The two Queen beds have new mattress covers and bedspreads that are frequently laundered. We provide sheets, blankets and pillows and they will be clean and the beds will be made with clean sheets when you arrive. I do not provide sheets, pillows or blankets for the futon, so please bring your own or sleeping bags. We also provide each guest a bath towel, hand towels and wash cloths. Please bring your own beach towels in summer. Please compare apples to apples when booking your Twain Harte vacation home as many do not provide sheets or towels.

One note: the stairs are a bit steep, so watch the small children, but otherwise was perfect for our getaway."

Casa Bella has many charms, original art work, leaded glass windows, rustic fir floors, and a French armoire. Recent renovations have given this stylish mountain retreat a fresh look. The great room features a convenient gas fireplace, large, comfy leather chairs and a big couch for reading, lazing, or watching TV. There is also a futon which opens into a full bed. The bedrooms each have a queen bed with down comforters. The first bedroom has a peaked pine ceiling, antique, leaded glass windows, and a French armoire. The second bedroom has a full bookshelf and a connected half bath.

In winter, Dodge Ridge is 20 miles up the highway, where you can spend the days skiing and snowboarding, or go to Leland High Sierra Snowplay in Strawberry, for sledding and tubing.

Make a day trip (just over 2 hours) to visit world famous Half Dome, one of many splendors in Yosemite National Park.
Also, visit the many nearby wineries, bistros, art galleries, and boutiques. Sonora is 15 minutes away, Murphys is 45.
After your travels you will look forward to returning to the pine forests of Twain Harte and the quiet comfort of Casa Bella.

Our cabin is one of the original cabins built in 1937.
Our peaceful redwood cabin shares the property with two giant Ponderosa Pine trees. We are located on one of the most beautiful and quiet streets in Twain Harte, just a few blocks away from downtown shops , pee wee golf and restaurants.
The neighboring cabins are only used by the owners which keeps our area very quiet. There is one VRBO cabin right across the street that would work great for extra family members.If you are interested I can give you the VRBO number.
Our cabin also has lots of space between the other cabins and only 2 cabins are located behind ours and they are on a private road! Plenty of room for kids to safely run around!
Pondering Pines Cabin sleeps 8 with 2 bedrooms, a sleeping loft that serves as a third bedroom and two full bathrooms. The upstairs bedroom has a queen and a twin bed. The downstairs bedroom has a queen and twin bed also. The loft has two twins and one full bathroom upstairs and one downstairs as well.

- "We come to Twain Harte with family every summer (my boyfriends family has been coming for 50+ years) and rent multiple cabins with lake access. Robert’s cabin was perfect for the 6 of us, as we had 2 couples and 1 pair of friends who stayed in the loft. It was only a couple of minutes walk to downtown, which was great for our evening meetup at mini golf. Robert was extremely communicative and helpful from check-in to check-out. The coffee maker didn’t work and he quickly had someone drop off a new one on the porch. The kitchen was well stocked, and the porch had lots of space and furniture for us to hang out. One thing to note is that the cabin does not come stocked with bath linens (which may have been listed but we did not notice that beforehand) which was fine because we all had extra beach towels. We had a wonderful time, and will definitely keep it in the rotation for future trips!"

Beautiful Fairway Apartments across the street from the Twain Harte Golf Course and within walking distance to downtown. Only 22 miles from the Dodge Ridge Ski Resort. Many hiking trails, lakes and rivers in this awesome area of the Sierra mountains. This unit has been refreshed from top to bottom with a new paint. Plenty of parking spot included with other guest parking. Master bedroom has a king bed with a dedicated bathroom and the second bedroom has a king size bed also. Livingroom has a queen sofa bed. It has a front porch with a gas grill for BBQing.

The neighborhood is quiet & respecting that is necessary. It's a very quiet cozy little town! Our home is a 2 minute walk down a small hill to the local downtown! Can not beat the location! There is a gravel driveway right in front of the house. We have Twain Harte lake access. If interested ... a less then 10 dollar a person day fee can get you into Twain Harte Lake a mile away from the house. There is a laundry mat at the corner of our street.

Two bedrooms, two bathrooms in this cozy cabin/house perfect for family vacations or cozy getaways for 1-2 couples. Nestled among the pines with a wrap-around deck on two sides for relaxing reading and dining in the summertime evenings. Covered porch with a gas BBQ and a porch swing with additional seating off the kitchen. Sloping lot up to the house with pine trees and shrubs for a natural ambiance in a quiet neighborhood with privacy for maximum enjoyment of the outdoors. First part of driveway is steep but gently sloping after that.

The quaint town of Twain Harte is only 5 minutes away by car, with several restaurants if you don't want to cook and the "hidden jewel", locally owned Twain Harte Market offers a lovely selection of local, regional & international food products if you prefer to eat in. For your winter enjoyment, Dodge Ridge Ski Resort is only 30 minutes away, and Long Barn Lodge with indoor skating rink (open in early Nov. - March) is only 10 minutes away. In the summer ~ Pinecrest Lake for hiking, boating, kayaking fishing & picnicking is 20 minutes away, and the Historic Gold Rush communities of Sonora, Columbia, & Jamestown with the Historic Railtown 1897 (offering steam engine train rides April - October) are 30-40 minutes away.

Deck entry to the great room with two comfortable couches and a settee, and a 50" flat-screen TV with DVD and wireless access. Wonderful selection of CD's and DVD's, with many selections for children. Kitchen and dining area is three steps up from the great room. Dining table seats 6. Kitchen has a dishwasher, electric stove, microwave, refrigerator, a good selection of cookware and serving items, and many standard ingredients for cooking.

Master bedroom has a king bed and a twin daybed. The guest bedroom has a queen bed. Sleeping bags with liners and pillows are provided for the couches in the great room.

Washer and Dryer provided with laundry supplies. Towels and sheets are provided. Body washes and hair products provided.

Wood available for the wood stove and forced-air heating with summertime swap cooler that cools the entire house through the duct system.

Many board games are also provided for your enjoyment (stored in the hallway closet, above the washer and dryer).

We liked the proximity to long barn for ice skating, leland snow park for tubing and pine crest lake for sledding. The living room was kind of dark and my toddlers ran into the coffee table a couple of times but they also run into the walls at home so you know."
