The Lodge is a magical country escape just one hour from NYC. With its open floor plan, high ceilings and furniture meant for melting into, it's the perfect spot to relax and unwind with family and friends. Enjoy your morning coffee on the screen porch while listening to the sounds of the babbling brook. Gather around the fire pit for s'mores, laughs and sounds of the forest. With three living rooms and six bedrooms, there's plenty of space for everyone to have a good time and have privacy. Please note we CANNOT allow pets - we have a severe dog allergy in the family. Thank you for your understanding.

The house is on 2.5 private acres and includes a private wooded area behind that you can hike if you wish. We recommend bringing hiking shoes or sneakers because it's a little steep and can be muddy! You can also take a stroll on our very private road up to a gorgeous view and along the brook. Just turn left outside the house and walk around the road barrier and up.

For perfect sunsets, we've built "sunset ridge". This is an elevated sitting area on the hill behind our house with chairs and a beautiful stone wall where you can see all the colors as the sun goes down on your relaxing day.

The Lodge has four official bedrooms (2 king rooms, a room with 2 twins, and a queen room) + a loft area that offers privacy and plenty of cozy spaces to lay down. Additionally, we have a "Zen Den" on the lower level that has a full couch and is a great spot for meditation, reading, playtime and naps. Any questions on this, just shoot us a message.

We also have three living rooms — the light and airy movie/yoga/office space in the loft upstairs, the "conversation pit" on the main floor, and another living room + TV on the lower level. Both living rooms on the upper levels are fit with skylights that provide plenty of natural light.

The lower level can function as it's own self-contained apartment with 2 full bedrooms, the "Zen Den" bedroom, a full bathroom and living room. There is easy in/out access from the lower level through the laundry room and into the garage.

- "My extended family of 9 and I stayed here for several days and had a pleasant experience. The layout is great for large groups with 3 bedrooms on the lower level, 3 bedrooms on the main floor and a huge loft upstairs. There was plenty of room for people to spread out without being on top of each other. There were also a lot of nice personal touches in the home and it was very clean. Worth being aware of is there are a fair amount of stairs if you have older family members, but the ground floor does have a sizeable bedroom and kitchen of its own. There is also a neighbor's cat that likes to hang around (mentioned in the listing). However, he did sneak in and wasn't the friendliest when we had to move him."

Newly remodeled 2 bed/1 bath backyard guesthouse with a patio, small porch, and yard. It includes a patio table that gets lots of sun (umbrella included), a small play area for young children, and a full-sized picnic table in the yard that sits under some trees.

Two TVs with Prime, HBO max, Disney, and Netflix, as well as games, books, and puzzles for your enjoyment. Close to Peekskill, West Point, Bear Mtn, Harriman, Appalachian Trail, & Hudson & Croton Rivers.

The Cottage is a separate dwelling that sits in our backyard in a residential neighborhood that is in a suburb of the greater NYC area. Living on the property enables us to quickly manage issues that may arise and try to make ourselves available for any questions about the area, etc. To allow our guests as much privacy as possible, a privacy wall was added.

Please be aware that we have a poochon who likes to let guests know that he is there. Although we keep him on a leash or in a gated area, at times he has gotten out. He's very friendly with kids, and kids typically love him.

Also, one of our neighbor's chicks grew into a rooster. We have no control over the animals of our neighbors. To counter the noise he might make while guests are trying to sleep (and to help promote sleep for our guests), each bedroom has a white noise machine or fan that should drown out the majority of any noise. If you are very sensitive to noise, however, please consider bringing earplugs.

There is also a balcony in this bedroom.

Living Room 1: 85" sony 4k Smart TV, so you can log into Netflix and watch all of your favorite shows. Comes with an apple TV if you need it. Also a small dining table that can seat 6. There is also an olympic used table tennis table, along with 3 star butterfly table tennis balls and paddles for use.

Living room 2: A rustic style living room with 2 couches and a 100 year old Steinway piano. 2 smaller chairs face the fireplace, where you can cozy up during cold winters.

Billiards Room: A private room dedicated to billiards. A traditional billiards lamp hangs above the table. Comes with 4 adult cues and 2 child cues, as well as a bridge. Includes a full set of billiard balls and a triangle.

Dining Room: A magnificent wood finished 14-person dining room table underneath a crystal encrusted chandelier. Includes a serving table and formal silverware and plates for more formal occasions.

Gym: A magnificent gym filled with everything you need to get in shape and gain muscle: Speed ladder, Bike, Smith machine, Rowing machine, weight rack, treadmill, boxing heavy bag and gloves, medicine and BOSU balls, and a double functional machine.

Other things to note

Our property is located minutes away from downtown Mount Kisco, and located just 1 hour North of NYC When you enter our home, we have a welcome book for you so you can accommodate all of your shopping needs.

- The pool can be heated for $250/day extra. Please inquire if you are interested.

- There are security cameras all over the house, but they are all covered expect main entrance.

- Security cameras outside will be left on for your own protection.

- The maximum number of guests we can host 16 at any given time.

This Croton classic has 3 beds, 3 baths with sprawling open-format family room/kitchen with 70" flat panel TV, Sonos, eat-in kitchen facing the patio & walkway to the outdoor pool and outdoor hot tub (available from May - October only!!). The separate original LR with fireplace has a pull-out for sleepovers. Commutable to the city, and a world away when you get home.

Our home is generously appointed, with original artwork and a well-stocked library for your enjoyment, and all bathrooms have been updated to high standards. For those needing a soak, the seasonal hot tub and pool are available in summertime, and in the off-season a lovely claw foot tub awaits indoors. Also, separate entrances allow for single level living if needed, modern conveniences and country living in comfort, with 2 bedrooms downstairs and one up.

This house is entirely yours when you stay here, with only a couple spaces locked and out of bounds for guests: the basement, a closet and an upstairs office are reserved for the owners' belongings and mechanicals.

Writers, painters, singers, statesmen, dancers, communists and a parade of wild-eyed bon vivants have frequented this street and this very home for over a century – you have big shoes to fill! If you haven’t yet seen the movie “Reds” starring Warren Beatty, you should - much ado about Croton on Hudson, and the protagonists house still stands right around the corner from here.

A completely renovated 1847 Victorian Farmhouse on a private 10 acre farm. This antique farmhouse features all the modern amenities. Original wide plank hardwood floors and exposed beams. The main house is 5 bedrooms, 4 1/2 baths. The carriage house features a game room with a pool table, ping pong table, TV and a full bathroom.

The Property:
You and your guests have full run of the entire 10 acre property. The space is divided between a main house and a guesthouse/barn.

The Farmhouse:
The main house has 5 bedrooms and 4 1/2 baths. The 1st floor has a gourmet kitchen, dining room, laundry room, powder room, a living room with a large smart TV and a parlor that opens to a wrap-around porch.

Second Floor:
Bedroom 1 is the master bedroom suite with a king bed and a large smart TV. The large en-suite bathroom features a farm sink, stand-alone steam shower and heated floors.

Bedroom 2 has a queen size bed and a private bathroom with a stand alone shower and a clawfoot soaking tub.

Third Floor:
Bedroom 3 features a four post queen size bed.

Bedroom 4 has a queen size iron frame bed and a futon couch for extra guests. This room also has a private bathroom with a tub/shower.

Bedroom 5 has two queen size beds.

There is also a full bathroom on the third floor for the upstairs bedrooms to share.

Fourth Floor:
The fourth floor features a widows watch with 360 degree views of the property.

The Guesthouse:
The detached guesthouse has two levels including a game room with pool table, ping pong a bathroom and an upstairs loft space.

The Backyard:
Outside the home offers a large patio with a BBQ grill and 10 acres of property with a pond and trails to explore.

The Barn:
The barn and stable includes 2 horses, 2 potbelly pigs, 2 goats and 15 chickens. The pigs and chickens roam around the property. You can view the animals from outside of the fenced barn area, but please do not enter the barn area for your safety and the safety of the animals. Please let us know if you would like to visit the animals and we will arrange a tour for you and your guests.

- "This home is very unique. I was visiting my son for a football game at West Point and hosted he and several friends for the weekend. The bedrooms are decorated very nicely and the beds are comfortable. We used the Weber grill one evening and would have loved to enjoy the outdoor spaces more. I do feel the photos in the listing make it look lighter and brighter than it is. The kitchen is very small and don’t think I could manage to serve 10 people (the number the listing says the home will sleep) with the place settings and glassware provided. Keep in mind this is an authentic castle built in the 1930’s and it has a lot of uneven steps and terrain. In addition, the only bathroom is on the first floor (the two main bedrooms are upstairs). The host was very nice and made sure there was gas for the grill and firewood for the fireplaces. The kids loved the experience and we had a wonderful weekend."
