You will find everyhting you need in the kitchen, the master bedroom is large as well as the kids room. Fans are also usefull in each rooms. The small living room is practical, you can watch TV, surf on the internet (wifi included-1Gb per day) or look at the great 180° view on the sea from the balconie :) Towels are included which is greatly appreciated as well as the household at the end of your stay ! You don't have to take the car to go to the beach which is greatly convenient !! The tower house is fully furnished with 3 bedrooms (2 double, 1 twin) 3 bathrooms with shower, kitchen and living room. At the top of the house there are two large terraces with breathtaking views. Piazza Vecchia is a 5-minute walk away, as are all services and restaurants.

The house is a 370 years old building that has been just recently completely restored. It is located in the historical center of Bosa. It is about 70 square meters on 4 levels, can accommodate for 4 people.

The space
The entrance, a little storage space and the bathroom (with sink, shower, toilet, washing machine and water tank) are located on ground floor. On the first floor there is the main bedroom, with 1 2 single beds that can turn into a double bed. On the second floor there is another bedroom, with a queen bed and a couch bed. On the top floor there is the kitchen, the dining area and a small roof terrace, to enjoy open air meals.
Towels and Percalle cotton linens are provided.
The house follows the typical typology of the area, with a small footprint and developed in height. Built in local stones, its thick walls guarantee a very good thermal insulation, allowing fresh temperature in the summer while retaining the heat inside during the mild winter. Its vertical extension makes it work as a "chimney": in summer, cool air is taken in at ground floor level, from the shadow of square, and warmer air is outlet from the windows on top floor. This process of natural ventilation keeps a comfortable environment, a pleasant temperature and a dry climate. Simple, sustainable features were conceived in the ancient times, and still work perfectly!
Just in front of the house, few meters from the entrance, there is the best kitchen in town, the Ristorante S.Ignazio. Here you can taste some of the most extraordinary local recipes with Pasta Fresca, local cheese, fresh fish, and much more.
Direct low-fare flights connect the airport of Alghero (AHO - at about 50km from Bosa) to several cities in Italy and Europe.

Spectacular beaches are easily reachable from the house. The closest beach is Bosa Marina, at 2,5 kilometers. Just a bit farther, you can visit the amazing landscape of S'Abba Druche and Cumpoltittu beaches (my favourites): you can bike for about 6 chilometers towards North (on the road Bosa-Alghero, which is already quite spectacular in itself), and then have a littel walk in the wild nature down to the beaches.

Please note: there is currently NO television.

This 14th century house has just been renovated, it comprises of 4 floors with reception and bathroom on the ground floor, bedrooms on the first and second floors and kitchen with terrace overlooking famous Bosa's castle on the top floor.

The leafy grape plant reaching the terrace provides shadow during hot Sardinian summer days. Deck chairs and table are perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine...

The house benefits from two bedrooms, the first one with a double bed and the second one with two single beds so it can host up to 4 people.

"Lo iato" (The hiatus) is a 450-year-old home, great to getaway or as a creative retreat. A traditional house, 2 m wide at its narrowest + 12 m tall in total (over 4 levels). Built into the mountain, with a small roof terrace with views to the sea and hills, out over our colourful village.

Our house is located in the traditional old-town area of Bosa known as Sa Costa. It has been restored with local wood harvested up the River Temo (Bosa river). It is powered with sustainable energy.

THE STORY OF OUR HOUSE
This was the first step to us returning to our "roots". We were born in Australia, with ancestry in Europe. We decided boldly to return to Europe, where we felt we belonged, we felt we were returning home. 

This house is representative of our bold step. 
It is a 450-year-old house, that we have restored lovingly and patiently. The house is full of things from our travels here, gifts from neighbours, wood harvested from a property down the river, and memories of new friends and travellers. 

The top-level was traditionally used for smoking cheese and meats, and the house had in its cellar an entranceway/underground pathways to other houses. Several families once shared this house.  

At times you may hear even water running behind the house, this is because the house is built into a mountain and water runs behind it, with ancient water channels that take the water further down the village. Years ago, people would open their houses up to others to collect the spring water. 

OUR VILLAGE
Many of our neighbours have lived here all of their lives.
They are genuinely kind people, who live in a deep sense of togetherness here. 

If you need anything, they will willingly help. You can feel safe here. 

Bosa is a place to walk, you discover things when you least expect it. It's like lots of tiny surprises. Explore, with an open mind.

There is currently no wifi in the house, due to difficulties with connection on the island. It is a great space to switch-off!

PLEASE NOTE: This house has steep stairs + also you have to walk about 200 m including ascending 2-3 sets of village stairs to reach our house from where you park your vehicle (as with most of the original houses in our village, because the village is built into the hillside!).

For these reasons, it is unsuitable for most elderly people, those with physical disabilities and children. Please use your discretion before booking.
