Newly refurbished apartment on harbour front. Part of a former inn this property has a unique charm all of its own. This apartment has been fully refurbished to a high standard. It’s cosy and extremely comfortable. Easy walking distance to beaches, high street shopping, pubs, restaurants and local amenities. Short drive to the John Muir country park and the other beaches in East Lothian. An ideal base to explore the area. Edinburgh is only a 20 minute train journey to the city centre.
The property benefits from unlimited free internet access. We have just installed super fast fibre optic internet which is brilliant for all your online needs.
Parking is on street adjacent to the apartment and in bays on the harbour side which is literally 30 metres from the front door. All parking next to the apartment and indeed throughout Dunbar is free.
Throughout the pandemic we have refunded everyone in full who has had to cancel due to COVID restrictions and will continue to do so.

Dunbar has a great deal to offer visitors. It is on East Lothian's Golf Coast and has two courses - Winterfield and Dunbar which is an Open Championship qualifying course. The Coast to Coast Surf School is situated at Belhaven Beach on the outskirts of the town and offers surf coaching and paddle board sessions. Foxlake Adventures is a 5 minute drive away and is one of the biggest wakeboarding centres in the UK as well as offering rope courses and a zip wire. For the younger members of the family East Links Family Park continues to please with its selection of animals (farm and more exotic), railway and other attractions.
Dunbar is only 20 minutes by train to the centre of Edinburgh - one of Europe's top destination cities with many annual events such as the Edinburgh Festival and the Military Tattoo. There are also frequent buses to various destinations in East Lothian, Edinburgh and North Northumberland.

Flat is on the first floor (no lift). Bedroom has a King size bed. Lounge is separate from the bedroom and kitchen but easily accessed across a small entrance hall.

Beautiful Luxury Caravan. The caravan is suitable for everyone, the site has a club house serving very nice food and not too expensive. There is a swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and gym. There are family deals available for these facilities. The area is surrounded by beautiful countryside. The village of Dunbar has lots of places to visit, banks, restaurants, bars and a variety of shops, Asda etc.

Broxmouth Park is steeped in history and natural beauty. The park is a wonderful place for walks and a haven for bird and animal lovers. It is not unusual to see a deer wandering past the front door. The house is very private and has its own private drive which meanders through horses and sheep and over a bridge which is where it gets its name. It is surrounded by mature trees and has a lovely patio area with outdoor furniture overlooking a brook. There is a hot tub which is 40c all year round which is a great place to enjoy and relax.
This wonderful house sleeps 10 people in 5 interior designed bedrooms. .
It has been decorated so as it has a sumptuous and cosy feeling and is a lovely place for a celebration or for family get-togethers. On the ground floor is the sitting room which has beautiful comfortable sofas and a cosy wood burning stove. This room has double doors which open out onto the outdoor patio area and hot tub. There is an open plan kitchen with a large central island which is lovely to cook in, this opens into the dining room. The dining room has luxurious silk drapes and a large table which comfortably seats 10 people. There is a double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and a separate WC located on the ground floor. There is also a separate laundry. Upstairs there are three double bedrooms and a twin bedroom. Two of the double bedrooms upstairs have ensuite bathrooms. There is also a family bathroom and a separate WC. The master ensuite has a very relaxing steam shower with chromatherapy. The family bathroom is decorated with Bisazza Mosaics and has a large slipper bath and shower.

The hot tub was brilliant and gardens beautiful for exploring. The description doesn't actually do the property justice as there's loads more bathrooms than described (ensuite for all but one of the bedrooms). A few minor suggestions which would have made the stay perfect: the outside lights didn't work which made sitting outside impossible after dinner time which was a shame (except in the hot tub which had LEDs), and there was no house instructions or WiFi details left which are expected as standard for this type of stay. Overall though a lovely, comfortable stay in a beautiful secluded and massive home, we'd love to visit again in future!"

THE KENNELS COTTAGE
The mid-Victorian era Kennels were renovated in the early 2020s, making them suitable for both humans and dogs. There are two bedrooms, one ensuite, as well as a kitchen/living room with a wood-burning stove. The underfloor heating keeps them cosy, like the Pods, and there are small garden areas to the front and sides, which were previously outside runs for the dogs. At some point, the Kennels were also a sheep pen - so you would be amongst the first humans ever to occupy this building. EPC rating C.
The Pods and The Kennels Cottage are about 150 metres apart (so a large family would be able to see each other easily, as well as having their own individual spaces), and there are walks into the lovely surrounding countryside immediately from the grounds.
We do have some home produce from our smallholding, which you are welcome to purchase when available - including eggs and chutneys and occasionally in-season vegetables, honey and meat.

Spent the first evening outside the Bass Rock pod (larger outside seating area) listening to the thunder and watching the lightening and the view to the sea, Bass rock and Berwick Law. Lovely comfortable accommodation within easy access of the Scottish Borders and Edinburgh. Amidst the beautiful Lamer Muir hills. The park has Clubhouse serving very nice pub food, Leisure facilities, swimming pool and gym. The town of Dunbar is around 10 mins drive which has a variety of shops, bars, restaurants, a public fun pool and Dunbar Train Station. The Market town of Haddington is a 20 min drive away also has lots of shops etc. The Wonder Belhaven Beach is around 20 mins drive which has a bbq area, picnic benches, easy parking and the surf school.

A high spec. Caravan situated on a fantastic site. The caravan is very comfortable with double glazing central heating and outside decking. Sleeps 6. The caravan park is surrounded with lovely countryside and beautiful beaches. Very interesting places to visit, and lovely walks. The town of Dunbar is 15 mins drive has some very nice shops, restaurants and bars, Asda and the garden centre are situated at the entrance of Dunbar.

Lots of room, lots of dishes etc.If I could make a few suggestions, they would be: more kitchen towels( one for 5 people is not enough) a drying rack for clothes as there is a washer but no dryer. As well, the pots that have non stick coating need to be replaced as the coating is peeling. Rail service to Edinburgh is very reliable and fast. It is a great place to stay if you are visiting the Edinburgh area. Just be aware of the times of the last trains."

You are required to pay a 20% deposit payment with a minimum payment of £150.00 or higher which secures the property, this payment is non-refundable in the event of a cancellation. Then, 42 days prior to your arrival date the balance will be payable – after this date, the booking will be fully non-refundable.
Bookings made at this property require a £500 damage deposit, which will be due 7 days before check-in. Providing there are no deductions to be made from this, the payment will be refunded to your card 5-7 working days after departure.

There’s a wonderful coastline with sandy bays, rocky coves and fishing harbours to be explored at North Berwick, Seacliff, Dunbar, Port Seton and Cockenzie. Or further inland you can discover the beautiful, unspoiled countryside and woodlands of Binning, Pressmennan, and Butterdean to name a few, and the picturesque villages of Stenton, Garvald, Tyninghame & Dirleton many of which boast the quaintest coffee shops around. Then to the south extends the rolling hills of the Lammermuirs.
Dunbar is also conveniently located near public transport, and Scotland’s capital city of Edinburgh is just a short 30-minute (approx.) bus or train ride away.

There is a conservatory and kitchen to the rear of the house which guests are more than welcome to make use of. The garden has a large very sunny patio area, ideal for sitting out in summer weather.

Relax & unwind in our comfortable, cosy large double room with views over beautiful Belhaven bay. There an array of water sports on the doorstep including surfing & SUP plus lots of walks all set within John Muir Country park. The space is perfect for somewhere to get away for a few days.

Dunbar High Street is just a 15 minute walk away or a quick hop in a taxi. Lots of history, a wonderful working harbour and nice places to eat.
There is a lovely small local pub just a few minutes walk away serving local beer and food from Wednesday-Sunday.
Dunbar is on the Main East Coast train line, and regular trains get you into central Edinburgh in 20 minutes. There are local buses as well.
You can hire a bike locally and there are lots of other local attractions within a few miles - East Links Family Park, Foxlake (wakeboarding, ropes course etc); Winterfield golf course (just up the road) and Dunbar golf course (qualifier course for The Open) the other side of the town; and lots of beautiful walks around the John Muir Country Park or up in the Lammermuir Hills

The flat is part of a beautiful old sandstone building just set back from the main road in a calm part of the town. There is so much to do in the area whatever your interest. Keen golfers can find a range of courses including championship locations. We are also very conveniently situated for the major golf tournaments which are often played at local courses.
There is also a second rental property upstairs which can be rented alongside for larger families or separately if you are visiting with friends. Both flats have their own front door and garden areas so can be totally independent of each other. The gardens are peaceful and enclosed, the perfect place for a BBQ, game of croquet or just relaxation.

The kitchen mural tiles, artwork and cushions have been specially designed with Eyecave Annexe in mind, and represent local wildlife and leisure activities. You’ll love the mid-century modern style and the comfortable king bed.
The Annexe is a cosy and private space with its own entrance, but we are always happy to help if you need anything, as we live in the main house.
We’re reducing our environmental impact, and we’ve recently installed solar panels and battery storage to power our eco-friendly annexe and the main house. We also use eco-friendly products like Who Gives a Crap toilet paper, Faith in Nature refillable toiletries and Bio-D cleaning products.
You’ll be amazed by the natural beauty and wildlife of our location. You can take a short 3 minute stroll to the Eye Cave Beach, or longer walks to surprisingly varied styles of beaches. You can also enjoy same-day-caught lobster rolls at the Harbour, or pick up provisions from independent and community owned shops on Dunbar High Street, just a 3 minute walk away. We’re well positioned to be an eco-friendly staycation as we’re easily accessible by train and many of the local activities and attractions are within walking distance.

Arrival: We’ll send you detailed directions before you arrive. You’ll enter the Annexe through a short gravel lane and the garden. We’ll make arrangements for how you get the key.
Parking: You won’t have to worry about parking. You can park your car for free in our garden. The lane is narrow but it can fit most cars, including our Volvo. However it is difficult to navigate and you may prefer to park on the road as there’s plenty of free parking on the surrounding roads.
Other things to note
We have two small dogs who share the garden. The older one likes to make human friends, while the younger one is still learning and may bark out of anxiety, though we’ll try to limit this. Please note that we don’t allow pets to stay in the Annexe. If you have a service animal, please contact us in advance so we can make arrangements for this.
We have fast wifi in the Annexe, since we’ve changed to Full Fibre it’s usually reliable. The TV (with Netflix, Prime and catch up) doesn’t have an aerial for live TV, but we have also provided DVDs, books and board games for your entertainment, as well as on demand TV subscriptions.
If you are interested in a medium term booking, of a month or more, please message us to discuss. We might be able to offer you a longer booking that doesn’t appear to be available on the calendar. We could also arrange some extra services for you, such as using our washing machine once a week.

Our Contemporary Guest Apartment is a 5 minute walk to Belhaven Bay and John Muir Country park. It is in an ideal location for those looking to explore the surrounding country side, beaches, coastal walks and historical sites. For those looking to try out some surfing or keen to play golf at one of our famous East Coast Golfing Course, this is the ideal spot.
Only 25 minutes away by car or nearby train station are the many tourist attractions in the vibrant City of Edinburgh.

Peaceful and homey self-contained accommodation - a separated annexe to our home. It is on the outskirts of Dunbar but within walking distance (~25 mins). Tucked behind new housing but your back garden is private. We are close to beautiful beaches and golf courses. Fresh milk, butter, cereals, coffee and something to toast are provided. Ideal for exploring the Lothians /Northumbria, or to just chill. Farm track road so please note the lower end of the road is prone to potholes in sections.

The Cottage is located on a farm track road. Please note that one end has sections of pot holes which need to be driven with care.
There is a plentiful supply of cereals/porridge, something to toast, fresh milk and butter, tea, coffee and condiments. If you book for 2 or more nights there will be extra provisions for you. You are asked at the time of booking if you have any food intolerances.
We can host 2 adults and a child 0-2yrs. Baby equipment is stored in the cupboard next to the shower room. Please state at the time of booking if you require baby/toddler equipment to be set up for your arrival.
Pets with well-behaved guardians are welcome and there is a basket of resources for you! Please note your pets MUST NOT be left unattended in the property. If you are bringing your pets, please let us know when you book.
The Cottage is a separate self-contained annexe to our family home.The front door, hall, shower room, lounge, kitchen, bedroom, landing and back garden is for your use only.
There is a steam iron and table top ironing board. Please note there is no washing machine in the property, but we provide a laundry service. A laundry bag is provided with a slip to complete ie wash/ dry/ wash and dry.
There is a variety of DVDs on the well-stocked bookshelf and board games in the TV stand.
There is a BBQ, coals, loungers, table and utensils, should the sun shine 😎, in the wood store.
There are motion-sensored lights from the landing to the hall. The property is fitted with a heat detector in the kitchen and smoke alarms throughout. There is a fire blanket in the kitchen and in the lounge and a small fire extinguisher on the landing. There is CCTV covering the front of the Cottage.

We can turn our cars outside (3 or 5 point turn, depending on size of the car) but more tricky for longer estate cars. Alternatively, you can reverse out or follow the track down back to the main road, being careful to navigate the pot holes!

Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. This first floor flat is on the High Street in Dunbar East Lothian only 20 minutes from Edinburgh by train. Parking is available overnight and is free on Sundays. Free parking at all times by swimming pool 150 yards away. Dunbar is beautiful with great amenities. Lots of family fun activities e.g. swimming pool, East Links Farm and nearby beaches and golf. Good places to eat and drink all on your doorstep.
