We ate at nearly all of them and never had a bad meal. My ONLY complaint is in regard to the bed and the sofa. The bed is hard and uncomfortable. The sofa seems to be broken down, probably from people sleeping on it rather than the bed. I slept on the sofa but did not sleep well as it was uncomfortable, but still more comfortable than the bed. I would have given this place a higher rating if not for the bed and sofa. A restful sleep is very important to me."

He double booked and asked to switch me to one of his other properties which I agreed to. Once I arrived it was clear it hadn’t been cleaned since the previous guests. I contacted him and he didn’t respond, I had to spend an entire night of my trip shopping for fresh linens and laundering the towels, cleaning the apartment. Finding that stuff isn’t easy at night in this town, we had to drive far for an open store. The next day the housekeeper arrived and mentioned the host contacted her at 9 pm the night before. So he saw my messages and instead of responding he just told the housekeeper to come by the next day. While going through the process of requesting a refund the host told me several lies, that Expedia never contacted him, that he would PayPal me, and finally that he would process the refund if I gave a positive review. Expedia processed a full refund for me today, I would avoid this host and all of his properties, unless you’d like to spend way too much of your trip either cleaning and buying linens or on an Expedia support chat. This place could be amazing with a bit of structure. I really disliked not being greeted when we arrived. We were sent a code for the keybox and found our own way to the room. We never saw anyone at the reception desk. We did eat on one night and the food and service was very good.I also liked the location of the property. "

The state of the art air source heating combined with heat recovery system means the property is really cosy all year round and the wood burning stove situated in the open-plan living area adds that extra element of comfort for those cold wintry nights.

It’s warmth, space, light and enclosed private garden offers all the privacy and tranquillity rural living gives. With many walks, villages, fishing, skiing and the famous Malt Whisky Trail right on your doorstep there are plenty of sights and activities to keep all ages amused.

Lilyfield is a 1.5 storey modern build property. You will enter via a spacious utility room comprising washing and drying facilities and a large area for shoes and coats. From here you will then enter into the open-plan living area comprising a well equipped kitchen, dining area and lounge. The full length south facing window wall offers spectacular views as well as making the most of every drop of sunlight.

Off the lounge there is the first king size bedroom with en-suite facilities. A second king size mezzanine style bedroom is located above the living area. Through a small corridor off the kitchen you will find a spacious twin room and shower room (not en-suite). Finally take the stairs up from the kitchen to find a third generous king size room and family bathroom.

Treetops is in the heart of the original community. It is near a fantastic coffee shop, near the meditation areas, near the pizza takeaway and close to the shop which sells everything you wished for. Treetops has good wifi, and even use of the kitchen to russell up a nice lunch. You have use of Treetops garden which has been described by previous guests as a 'special place'. It is certainly a peaceful haven.

A lovely room in a family home is right in the heart of Forres, nestled between two beautiful woodlands.

Forres is located near a selection of beautiful beaches, woodland walks, and the stunning Findhorn river.

A bit about us:
We are both self employed creatives, working from home and outdoors. We have two children aged 9 and 11 years.

The space
The bed can be made up as a single or a large double bed with either a double duvet or two single duvets.

The room includes use of the kitchen, living room, and access to our big and bright garden.

We appreciate if people can remove their shoes inside the house, but we understand if this is not an option for some people.
