Tecumseh rental is a beautiful home located on Tecumseh Island's main channel (not a back water channel) with 180 feet of waterfront. It offers a large boat house
with an electrical lift. There is 30 feet additional docking space
along the side channel. Enjoy sunsets down the main channel from the point of this corner lot. A swim ladder is on the point.

This rental has two bedrooms with a queen size bed in each and one full bath. A full size futon bed is available in the living room. Please provide your own queen sheets, blankets, pillows and bath towels. This helps keep our cleaning fee to a minimum of $40 and prevents the owners having to do 3 hours of laundry each stay.

Our house has been completely upgraded with new appliances,
tile flooring, and carpet. The furnished screened porch is a nice place to relax.
The fishing is great off the point of the property.

Welcome to the quiet spot and most secluded part of Indian Lake on Long Island. Beautiful view of the lake that offers morning sunrises and evening moonlight. Walk out onto the large patio and enjoy the beautiful views of nature and wildlife. Take in the night sky and see stars and our beautiful Milky Way while relaxing by the fire pit. Just a short walk away is a bridge from which to watch the amazing sunsets.
Morning or evening (and all day in- between), there’s something for everyone!

- "Property is clean, tidy, and really beautifully but simply decorated. Ideal for calm character but not cluttered. There is more sitting furniture in the living space than shown in the picture which was a very pleasant surprise. The kitchen is easy to use and the colors are easy on the eyes. The island is so handy. The master bedroom is nice with 2 big windows that open on the lake side so the breeze coming in is fantastic especially at night. The master bathroom is snug but not difficult to use. The vanity is a little tall as I am only 5' tall but again not too difficult to use. The rear entry point is a little tricky. A narrow space btwn the house and a garage but certainly not impossible or a deal breaker. The view and the peaceful back patio sitting area more than makes up for the minor quirks. The patio table and chairs are comfy and seat 6. I don't know how it's possible (because I visited end of August) but I didn't see it hear a single mosquito and I spent the entire day on that patio next to the grass and lake. Lots of great water fowl, cranes, a bald eagle, a juvenile bald eagle, pair of ospreys, grebe's, sandhill cranes, plenty of vultures, etc. Truely a relaxing and serene place to stay right on the water. I plan to book here again. Cheryl is a terrific communicator too. This was my first Vrbo experience and I'm afraid any others will be disappointing compared to this. She made this super easy. A huge relief since I was traveling alone on a much needed quiet break."

Come enjoy the fully renovated little Bear cottage in Russell’s Point just a few blocks from the water (3 blocks from the spillway), less than a mile from restaurants, 20 minutes to the ski resort, and a short trip to the beach for swimming and the boat dock. (Closest boat ramp is Moundwood 1.9 miles away) Little Bear Cottage is only 520 square feet but every inch has been remodeled and redecorates as modern farmhouse with a masculine touch. There is a queen bed in each of the two bedrooms. Enjoy the over stuffed overly warn leather sofa, farmhouse kitchen sink, and abundance of pillows and comfort. You will not be disappointed with the charm and details of our quant cottage. There is a huge outdoor deck with a propane fire table for relaxing and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows at night. A propane grill is on the front deck also.

The cottage is located about 3 blocks from a couple great fishing spots that can be reached on foot or driving.

The kitchen is equipped with an apartment sized stove and fridge, a coffee maker, microwave, and cooking essentials. We provide pots and pans, silverware, cooking utensils, bottle opener, knives, cutting boards, salt and pepper. On the coffee car we have at least two types of coffee with creamer, sugar, and low calorie sweetener.

Each of the two bedrooms has a queen sized bed. These rooms are tight with about 20 inches on each sized of the bed. We have many hooks no the walls to hang bags and clothing.

The only heat source is an open propane heater In the living room. It warms the cottage up fast and extremely warm if needed but I’m the heater can get HOT. Caution with touching or having small children near it to avoid burns.

The cottage has a window A/C unit and multiple fans. At just over 500 square feet, the A/C unit keeps it cool and comfortable.

The driveway is a total length of 42 feet and gravel. There is no guest access to the garage.

We love to offer a place for families to bring their dogs! We want you to enjoy your entire family on vacation, so bring your fur babies. We have a one time $50 fee for dogs to stay. (Up to 2 dogs)

It was close to the lake, shops and restaurants and perfect for pour quick trip to the lake to explore the area, boat ride and do some fishing. Indian Lake is a great place to visit and vacation - we vacationed there years back in the 1970's and 1980's when O'Connors Landing with the cottages and Lodge was the place to go - miss it but still an awesome place!"

If that didn't get you excited, then open the 4 panels, glass-sliding Windoor to make the home open to the water. It almost makes the house feel like a convertible! Don't worry about bugs once you open the big window doors. Take advantage or the large full length window screen. Sit on the deck with high-end furniture and enjoy the best views of Indian Lake. *Please note* a tornado struck our town on April 14, 2024. Our home was largely unaffected with exception to the front patio. We lost our pergola and all our patio furniture. Some of my photos are from the previous patio. The furniture has since been replaced with brand new/upgraded furniture including dining set, outdoor sectional, chiminea, and grill. The pergola also has been rebuilt the same as what it was. There's an updated photo with gray dining set and outdoor sectional with blue couch cushions showing what it currently looks like. It is very much new and improved, I just want to offer my guests full transparency as not all my photos have been updated. Everything on the interior of the home remains unchanged. Thank you for your understanding!

Your cleaning fee pays for thorough cleaning/sanitation of all floors, counters, bathrooms, and linen service. In order to keep this fee to a minimum, guests are still expected to perform the following: 1) Please empty all (perishable) food/beverages from refrigerator/freezer and cupboards. 2) Please wash any used dishes. You may leave in dishwasher or dry and place in cupboards. 3) Please empty all trash. Trash must be bagged and placed in the large receptacle located by the shed. Please do not leave trash on the front or back porch.

PARKING
Parking is permitted in the following areas: 1) Directly behind the home. 2) grass area at the end of the street (on the corner of North/Maple) that is shared parking between several homes. 3) There is also one parking spot in front of our dock #5. Please do not park on any other neighboring property.

Guest reminder: Neighboring homes are private property and we ask guests to please not trespass or infringe on neighbors enjoyment of the lake. Also we ask that guests please keep outside noise to a minimum after dusk.

- "We enjoyed renting this updated property for a week in July. It was very clean and had a nice, open layout. The kitchen had really nice dishes, utensils, and appliances. We were able to see the lake from the windows and were less than a five minute walk from the boat dock. We easily parked a truck and two cars in the provided space. The back patio was very private and the grill was in excellent condition. There was a wide variety of board games that we enjoyed playing and a pickle ball court too! Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and will hopefully be able to visit again in the future."

Enjoy the benefits of being in the water without the hefty price tag that comes with staying directly on the water. Drive your boat (or rental) to the dock, launch once and keep docked when not in use. Keep your car parked there or drive back to the house and walk (or perhaps ride a golf cart) back and forth to the dock throughout your stay.

The home sits on 2/3 of an acre with a one car garage so plenty of space for your lake toys, golf cart, etc.

The inside is cozy with a ventless gas fireplace (operational from Oct-April) and an open concept kitchen/dining/living area.

Living room has a queen size pull out couch plus 2 other love seats.
