- "Location" - "Lovely location. I enjoyed being in the middle of nature. The view from the dining room was terrific. I heard a brown thrasher singing when I came out of my room in the morning! The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower just right. The hot breakfast in the morning was exceptional for being a complementary breakfast. I took the one mile loop walk that was close to the lodge and although I enjoyed the walk, the trail needs some attention. It has eroded in places causing it to be somewhat treacherous, especially near the lake. One false step and I would be in the water!"

My home is on a quiet, dead end street with woods in back. However, just a few minutes from interstate access and less than 10 minutes from major arteries with shopping and dining. Great location less than 20 minutes from most places in Louisville. There is a keyed lock on the hallway door to the bedroom for extra privacy.

This chill and creative 2nd floor studio apartment is perfect for one or two people looking to explore Louisville. The space
This small but mighty efficient 500 square ft 2nd floor studio apartment is the perfect spot for a quick weekend getaway or business trip for up to two people. The beautiful, 100 year old building the apartment is in makes for a cozy and romantic space and the neighborhood is truly lovely. Walking distance from the soccer stadium and water front park as well as all the food, drinks and shops of the super popular Nulu and Butchertown neighborhoods.

Keyless entry into both the main door and the studio apartment makes check in a breeze. There is plenty of free parking available on the street in front of the house.

The house is located at the nexus of two of the most popular and scenic neighborhoods in Louisville, giving you walking distance access to some of the best bars, restaurants, shops, galleries and night life the city has to offer.

We've done our best to anticipate anything you may need, and to sound proof the individual units in the house so that all our guests have a quiet and pleasant stay but be aware that this is an active apartment building with the expected coming and going associated with a lived in space.

You will have access to the entire apartment upstairs. The entry hallway is a common space, shared with the two other apartments in the building. Please be considerate and do not slam doors. Please remember to lock the front door to the house upon arrival or departure.

1 mile from downtown! You get your own private bedroom and private bathroom in a quiet, peaceful neighborhood. 2.4 miles from Rupp Arena, 3 miles from UK. Your bedroom will be the Green Room which is on the 2nd floor, where your own bathroom is located as well. On the 1st floor is the Purple Room, which has its own bathroom too, and is often booked by guests as well.

You are welcome to use any shared spaces such as living room, kitchen, dining room, & laundry.

The space
You'll be staying in the Green Room which is on the 2nd floor. My house is about 20 years old so pretty new and has all new, modern appliances. The kitchen, dining table, laundry room, and living room are downstairs, which you are welcome to use. There is a small fenced-in backyard as well.

During your stay
I own the home and do all of the cleaning and maintenance but I live in a different house now so I'll be getting everything ready for you but either will be there when you arrive to greet you or will send check-in instructions if I won't be there. I've had some guests I have met and other guests who I haven't met due to our schedules not aligning but all have been wonderful experiences!

Guests in the house who book the different rooms have also have a variety of experiences from becoming very close friends to not actually meeting each other, and everything in between. Everyone has been respectful of each other's space and boundaries so whether you are an extrovert or introvert, the space will work for you.

Historic Boarding House Apartments built in 1940. Each apartment has hardwood floors, vanity and closet. Two of the Apartments have there own restrooms. There are 2 common restrooms that will be shared. Common Kitchen area with refrigerator and basic cooking utensils. Very cool place with historic charm.

We are still currently remodeling, so priced reasonable for a good, clean, safe place to lay your head for a night.

Guests will have access to large hallway and common restroom and showers. You have access to kitchen area, but we do not have appliances yet.

Room is 100 sq. ft. not counting the walk-in closet. It has a full size bed, a twin bunk bed for a child or extra guest, Roku TV, DVD player & fast charging device. Other things to note
First: NO WILD PARTIES OR DRUGS OF ANY KIND ARE ALLOWED ANYWHERE ON THE PROPERTY!
Second, no smoking or vaping inside the house. You may go outside and do that in the designated smoking area, but please respect myself, the cats and the other guests by not smoking or vaping. A $100 cleaning fee will be assessed for each violation.
Third, if you are looking to stay here, know that I am not always glued to my phone and cannot help you if you book out of desperation and cancel before I have a chance to accept. I usually respond to most requests within an hour and if the room is available I rarely turn down requests. That also means you don't need to ask me if I can accommodate you late at night on short notice, since I am a night owl who usually stays up until 2am most weeknights. Most weekends would require at least a 24 hour advance notice due to work commitments, so I can leave keys in the lock box for you.
Fourth, if you want to use anything here (DVD's, books, games, towels, etc.) feel free. That does not mean you can take these items with you when you leave. As far as drinks in the mini-fridge, or pasta and rice in the cupboards, please consume them reasonably, and consider future guests by replenishing any emptied containers. I reserve the right to charge for any missing or empty items after check out.
Fifth, if you need or want any additional accommodations (plug n'play crib, high chair for children, table place settings, use of outdoor grill) please inform me ahead of time so I can have them ready for your arrival.
Last, all other rules are listed in house rules, and a hard copy will be found in each room.

Quiet, conveniently located home in one of the city's most desirable neighborhoods: The Highlands. Guests will enjoy "run of the house" privileges, for the exception of the lower level, which houses my massage studio and my private master bedroom suite on the second floor. I rent two bedrooms on the first floor, and these two guest rooms share one bathroom.

I run my massage practice out of the house. I do offer a discount to guests, but book early! I'm routinely booked months in advance.

The space
Coming to Louisville for a night or a week? Moving to town but not sure where to live? I have rent two extra first floor bedrooms with a shared bath in my comfortable 3 bedroom completely renovated bungalow in the Highlands area of Louisville. Your bedroom has a closet, dresser, nightstand and a firm queen size mattress with comfort padded top. The adjacent bathroom has a tub/shower with rain style shower head. For those who have allergies, note that I have 2, nine-year-old cats who are very well-mannered and affectionate, but pretty much stay to themselves. My place isn't all "furry" though. I'm fanatic about keeping my home clean and orderly. Often people comment that if they hadn't seen the cats they wouldn't even have known I had any. Nightly rate includes clean linens, towels, and bathroom essentials (shampoo, body wash or soap, etc), complimentary wi-fi, as well as your choice select Starbucks brand coffee and teas available all day long via my Keurig.

There are approximately 7 restaurants within a 3 block walking distance of my home. I am less than a half mile from Bellarmine University, approximately 3 miles from the University of Louisville, and less than 10 miles from the airport and 5 miles from the central business district downtown. I keep a fairly busy schedule so generally guests generally have the house to themselves. I am an avid cook (not professional), so if you are so inclined, you are welcome to use anything in the kitchen you find available. I also grow a variety of veggies in a fairly small seasonal garden, so depending on what's ripe, you're more than welcome to pick from the garden, which may include a couple different varieties of lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, yellow squash, zucchini, green beans, broccoli, cucumbers and some herbs.

My guests have full use of all areas of the home except the lower level, which houses my massage studio and my private second floor master suite. You are free to watch TV in the first floor sunroom when the self-massage chair isn't being used (see Other Details section for more information about the chair, which is available for a discount to houseguests) or use the TV in the guest bedroom. You are also welcome to cook in my kitchen. There are 2 grocery stores within a mile of my home. On a nice day feel free to lounge on the patio with a glass of your favorite adult or non-alcoholic beverage and relax to the sound of the tranquil waterfall in the backyard. I do have complimentary high-speed WIFI and provide a variety of soft beverages, coffee and hot teas. If there's anything I can do to make your stay more comfortable, please ask!

During your stay
I do like to interact with my guests, as much as they may like my company. If invited, I've been known to go out to eat with guests, do a little bar hopping, or enjoy a nice dinner at home. I'm happy to make recommendations on places to see, eat and entertain. My guests are free to come and go as they wish.

Other things to note
Oh, one final thing to note is that I do NOT have cable TV. I took the plunge this year and cut the cord! Instead I have installed a high-powered antenna on the house that picks up about 45 high-definition channels over the air. The bedroom has a high-definition TV. I also have TIVO service in the living room through which guests can access Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime and more, so there's no shortage of stuff to watch, but with so much to do in Louisville, why waste your time watching TV?? :)
