The North cabin has about 10 steps from parking to front door (The South Studio and The Main House (Idyll Reserve | 1 & 2) were built with guests with limited mobility in mind).

The North Studio, closest to the private trail is the perfect place to connect with nature. This cabin sleeps up to 4, featuring a large great room with fully equipped kitchen, a spacious living and dining area and a gas fireplace.
We have just added a beautiful new outdoor oasis to The North, featuring a private sauna, hot tub, fire pit and lounge.

We recommend driving your own vehicle as ride-sharing and public transit are limited in our area. The driveway is gravel and offers parking space for 2 to 3 cars at each cabin. 2 EV chargers are located on the property and available for your use.

In winter, a 4x4 car is recommended for the Hillside Cabin & the North Cabin (Idyll Reserve | 4 and 5) as they are at the end of a long steep drive which may be slippery in icy conditions. If needed, 2-wheel drive cars can be parked near the upper cabins and the drive walked.

We have great cell coverage at Idyll (top of a big hill), but coverage in the Hocking Hills region can be spotty. We recommend downloading the directions before heading out.

Propane for gas grill and firewood for fire pit provided. There is a pack-n-play with bedding, a high chair, and children's dishes and utensils stored in each cabin. Extraordinarily well-behaved dogs are welcome at this cabin (The North), The Cabin and The Hillside (Idyll Reserve | 3, 4 & 5).

The South Cabin and The Main House (Idyll Reserve | 1 and 2) were built with guests with limited mobility in mind; with a zero entry, step-less ramp from parking to main entrance, and an open, flat floor plan. These cabins may not be suitable for guests who are completely dependant upon wheelchairs - our bathrooms and kitchens are spacious, but do not have modified accessibility features. The South Cabin, bright and bold, with clean lines and a modern aesthetic is the perfect place for an intimate getaway for a creative couple, a small family, or a few friends. We are nestled on 30 acres of woods just 2 miles from Old Man's Cave. Inside we have a cozy bedroom with full view window, private bathroom/shower, full kitchen, living room area with small dining table for 2, gas fireplace, YouTube TV, and WiFi.
The Lily Pad is named after our oldest granddaughter Lily Theodora. The Lily Pad is Constructed from a 40 ft. High Cube shipping container, designed for only 2 people. There is 300 square ft of living space inside with 480 sq. ft of outdoor living space. The outdoor space includes a hot tub, gas grill, Seating area and a large cozy swing bed. We also have a fire pit and lounge chairs for roasting hotdogs and marshmallows.

In our indoor space you can not miss the picturesque glass garage door. The full view door is motorized to allow you to bring the outdoors in. We also have a large picture window in the bedroom, so you can watch the many deer traveling around the property. If you chose to we have a motorized black out blind when needed. There is a private bathroom with shower right off the bedroom. There is also an indoor gas fireplace, cozy leather couch, small dining table and chairs. The kitchen has a small refrigerator, induction cooktop, microwave and toaster oven, All cooking utensils are stocked with plates, bowls, glasses, everything you would need for two.

This unique cabin also features 2 shipping containers with private bedrooms (Queen size) and private bathrooms. A vaulted family and dining area with a full kitchen and gas fireplace for a cozy stay. All windows have a privacy blind if needed.

The outdoor space is quite unique. The basketball court has a movable netting to protect the outdoor dining space and to keep the ball on the court. There are also children's rocking chairs and a large hot tub.

Reservations & Fees

Your rental rate is based on your dates, cabin/lodge, number of guests (all ages count), pets, and any add-ons. Please let us know if any of this changes before your arrival.

* Guests & Visitors: Each unit has a maximum occupancy. No extra visitors or overnight guests are allowed unless approved in advance. Approved daytime visitors are $20/person/day and may also incur a $500/day event fee. Unauthorized visitors/guests will result in fees plus a $75 penalty per daily occurrence.
* Vendors: Any outside vendors (caterers, DJs, photographers, rental companies, etc.) must be pre-approved and sign our vendor agreement.

Pets

We love pets, but to keep things safe and clean:

* Pets must be approved in advance, with the pet fee paid. Unauthorized pets = pet fee + $75 penalty.
* Pets should not be left alone unless crated, and owners must clean up after them.
* Service animals (per Ohio law) are exempt from fees but may be charged for damages. They cannot be left away from their owner.
* Emotional Support Animals are not service animals and are subject to regular pet policies/fees.

Payments

* Direct Bookings can be made up to 2 years in advance.
* 50% deposit secures your reservation; the balance is due 30 days before arrival. Reservations within 30 days require full payment.
* Non-payment may result in cancellation.
* Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and AmEx are accepted. Cashier’s checks require an additional refundable deposit of 50%.
* Non-direct bookings through Airbnb follow Airbnb’s payment policies.

* Early arrival/late departure: Up to 2 hours may be available with prior approval—$25 for cabins, $200 for lodges. Unapproved early/late access = $75 for every 15 minutes.

Property Use & House Rules

* No camping: Tents, RVs, and campers are not permitted.
* No smoking indoors or in hot tubs: Includes cigarettes, cigars, e-cigs, vaping, and marijuana. A $500 cleaning fee applies if violated. Please dispose of butts properly outdoors.
* Cleaning: Please bag trash, wash dishes, and leave the unit tidy. Excess cleaning may result in charges.
* Damages/Theft: You’re responsible for damages or missing items. Report any issues immediately.
* Furniture/Electronics: Please don’t move furniture or alter electronics. Instructions are in your welcome book.
* Noise/Privacy: Respect other guests. County-wide quiet hours are 10 p.m.–8 a.m. Guests found violating county noise ordinances will result in termination of the rental agreement and must leave the property. They are also subject to fines and arrest by local law enforcement.
* Safety: Follow posted safety rules around the property.

Amenities & Maintenance

* We do our best to keep everything in good order, but occasionally hot tubs, HVAC, appliances, internet, or power may be unavailable due to service needs or weather. We’ll address issues quickly, but refunds cannot be given.
* Hot tubs may take several hours to warm up after cleaning.
* Don’t overload refrigerators on arrival—it may take up to 24 hours to stabilize after being loaded.
* Fireplaces are available October–April.

* Fishing pond: Catch-and-release only. No fishing license is required. Registered Guests only. No swimming.
* No hunting at any time.
* No fireworks, firearms, or weapons.
* No ATVs, 4-wheelers, golf carts, or recreational vehicles. Motorcycles are allowed for transportation only. Park only in designated areas—no driving on grass or wooded areas.
* Campfires: Allowed only in provided fire pits. Burn firewood only and extinguish completely.
* Respect neighbors: No trespassing on adjoining properties.

Over the course of the project, we have created sanctuaries for bats, owls, and birds to improve habitat within our property and enhance our guests’ stay on the property.

To name a few: zip-lining & canopy tours, canoeing trips, hiking & biking trails, fishing, and horseback riding. Wi-Fi: While we have the premier Starlink Wi-Fi system setup in our villas, we are in an extremely rural area where internet is often spotty - we ask that you come prepared to unplug in the case that the Wi-Fi signal is not perfect during your stay.

There is a propane grill on the deck. We have grill tools supplied in the kitchen. We also have a fire pit, and firewood at your Villa for your use. We include a Firestarter set and matches inside the Villa.

Villa Rock offers 1,200 square feet of thoughtfully designed indoor living space, comfortably accommodating up to 6 guests. The property also features a variety of outdoor amenities, including a 235-square-foot covered patio, a 60-square-foot detached sauna, a 62-square-foot front porch, and a 218-square-foot deck complete with a private hot tub—perfect for relaxing and soaking in the serene surroundings.

Parking includes access to WallBox EV Car Charging station (Level II).
