Kreischberg organises regular freestyle ski world cup competitions for good reason. There is also a huge amount to do for children on the first plateau. There is no shortage of cosy ski huts and restaurant where you can eat and drink at very reasonable prices. In addition, there is no mass tourism here and due to the presence of the brand-new lifts, no waiting times at the lifts and this area has a very convivial après-ski atmosphere. The funpark is among the absolute world's best! Big competitions are organised here every year. For cross-country skiers and winter hikers, there are countless possibilities here. Feel like sledding? That too is possible here! The local train stops right behind this resort. In summer, a visit to the beautiful medieval town of Murau with its cosy shops, restaurants and pleasant terraces is highly recommended. Besides beautiful walks in the mountains, you can also hike or cycle along the Mur cycle path. This is a famous cycling path along the Mur River in the region. We had to ask for bowls as there were only three of various size, but they were provided within an hour of asking which was great service from local support team. Not an issue for us as we don’t need to watch TV in such a beautiful location, but there is just one in the living area, not one in each bedroom as advertised. EV charging works with a charge card - my IONITY card worked fine, but there is no clear instructions in property as to what can be used. As a whole, there are no decent instructions for anything in the property, A BBQ and an umbrella for shade would be a nice addition - next door had it which I looked over with envy during the hot days and warm evenings. Leaving three dishwasher tabs and a dribble of washing up liquid is just tight for an 11 day stay at this money. Some basics like salt and pepper wouldn’t go amiss either please. Apart from a few issues which got resolved - we had a great time. "

But there is another way: Active vacationers can go cycling, horseback riding and hiking. If you are looking for an adventure, you can sign up for rafting in the Murtal or get a bird's-eye view of the world while tandem paragliding. The picturesque town of Murau is only about six kilometers away. Highlights: 1x visit to the sauna per accommodation/week 1x entry to the outdoor pool per person per stay Guided hikes (July and August) Activities nearby: For passionate hikers and those looking for relaxation, the area offers quiet hiking trails, clear mountain lakes, quiet alpine pastures and summits with great views.
