I was able to bath open air while listening and viewing the forest and Sabie river from my room. The staff went above and beyond to make me comfortable. The facilities are great with the hippo hide where you can watch hippos safely as well as an extremely nice golf course on the property with impala walking on the course. The pool area is very nice and the restaurant (G’s) is good. There is also a lapa area where they do a traditional braai (think bbq on steroids) and a river area you can walk to. All the staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful. It is a spacious 6 sleeper. The unit itself is great with a few little issues such as the shower door does not close and the double bed in the main upstairs bedroom has a mattress that is not very good. Other than that it is a very nice unit. The air conditioner wasn’t working and when we called them the next day they came out and fixed it almost within the hour. Also, even though when you are in the lodge you feel like you are out of the city in the bush, it is 5 minutes away from many good shops and restaurants. "

Chad's Pad is a private room in our home, perfect for a quick stop-over and most ideal for single business travellers or couples just wanting a clean, safe place to lay their heads for the night. It has a small ensuite bathroom (shower, toilet, basin), kitchenette (microwave, kettle, bar fridge) and its own separate entrance. Parking behind a remote gate. No meals provided and unfortunately no smoking.

The space
If you love dogs, our gorgeous Great Danes add to the homely atmosphere yet you have your own privacy and may come and go through your own separate entrance. For the workaholics, there is a desk with a pretty view of the backyard garden.

No meals are provided but there is a microwave for heating ready-made or takeaway meals. The space is not suited for cooking of meals from scratch.
