- "Kira Kira is located downhill of the Hirafu Welcome Centre. Transportation is provided during arrival and departure to and from the Welcome Centre. I am not too sure if the transportation can be arranged during they stay as I did not try this. The room was spacious and well suited my needs. It was comfortable. However, the water pressure and termperature for the shower can be much improved. The temperature was not enough to have a good soak in the tub. There was a combi washer dryer with detergent in the room too, and it was useful to have some laundry done. The wifi was stable a the room came with apple TV. The ski locker was minimal with just a slot for board/skis with a lock. The drying locker did not seem to have a lock which I could use. Communications was easy with the inroom phone. Emails could be better improved too. For the price paid, I would have expected a better shower experience, thus the 4 stars. I may stay here again."

Even without notice, they try to accommodate you. One of the kids wanted to return mid-day from the ski resort and they picked us up within a few minutes. There is free outdoor parking in front of the building. Ski lockers are provided on the building exterior and boot warmers inside. The place was clean, except for some dust bunnies under the beds. There is a large living/dining room with a big farm-style table for all to gather. The down side is the kitchen was a small galley kitchen. It had all the appliances, and basic pots and pans, but don't plan to do much more than basic cooking. No condiments, salt, oils, etc were provided. The laundry was our biggest problem. The washer worked fine, but the no-vent dryer was useless. It would run all night and the clothes would be wet in the morning. It was faster to just hang everything up and let them air dry. The bedrooms were tight with no luggage racks. There were tiny closets with two small drawers and a safe. The entry way had a big bench, so we left our luggage out there. The bathrooms had nice showers, heated bidet toilets and heated towel racks. "

It is super spacious (163 m²), over two floors, with three bathrooms including a huge onsen-style bath for the whole family, and a well-equipped kitchen. Amazing location close to Koko bakery for croissants and Rhythm for great Allpress coffee in the mornings. Very close to lots of restaurants, a cheesecake stand, and two mini-markets. It's just a short walk up the hill to .base, and even closer to the family lift. The apartment is really well appointed, with an original decor halfway between steampunk (raw concrete walls) and rustic (lots of wood, shaggy cushions). It has fast wifi and an Apple TV with a Netflix subscription for apres-ski family evenings, and a washer dryer. There's a beautiful view of the mountain as well. Nice touches provided by the host were the complimentary Nespresso coffee pods and drink bottles (which we didn't touch), and free pick-up/drop-off from Kutchan station. We are located center of Makkari-mura , between Niseko area(25minutes drive) and Rusutsu(15minutes drive) , for skiing.
