Upstairs rooms mostly share a bath, but we had a room with a private bath. The pre-fab bathroom was tiny and weirdly placed with a ~10" step up. Room size was good, but it was stiflingly hot with the radiator heat. We were unable to turn it down enough to get a comfortable temperature without opening the windows. Getting to Niseko Village gondola base (not the main base by the Hilton) was a trek--15 mins. I carried my skis and boots to make it more reasonable to walk. Bus is a 5-minute walk, but infrequent enough that walking was preferable. Food was adequate--not particularly good or much variety, but OK. "

My house is in a quiet and scenic location surrounded by forests.There is a small shrine in front of the house, and it is a log house in a very mysterious area.
Guests will use a room (private room) on the second floor.We will share other places with you, so you can feel like you are at home.
Since there is only one group, other guests will not be able to use it during your stay.
It is a bunk bed, so it is not suitable for older guests.If you are worried about climbing on the upper bed, we will provide a Japanese-style futon, so please let me know.
It is about 10 kilometers to each ski resort in Niseko, about 15 minutes by car, and about 20 kilometers to Rusutsu Ski Resort, and about 30 minutes by car.There are three large supermarkets in the next town, about a 15-minute drive away.
As for the internet, it is a fiber optic line, so the WiFi environment is very good.
There are not many ways to get around, so it is very convenient in winter, especially if you rent a car.

Our house is located in Yunosato Hot Spring Village which is close to Moiwa Ski Resort (5 minutes by car), Hirafu Ski Resort (15 minutes by car).

You’ll love my place because of the cosiness and beautiful atmosphere The tranquil forest setting. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and young families (with kids).
You will need a car as there is no public transport however this is easily done through a rental car company

Crofton House is a fantastic base to explore the Niseko area

The space
The house consists of a downstairs dining/ living and kitchen area overlooking the outside balcony through floor to ceiling windows. The lounge part can be closed off at night and the sofa made into a full size double sofa bed if required. There is a TV that has access to Netflix if you have an account and the TV has HDMI cable so guests can connect to laptops etc, please note, the TV is not connected to local or cable TV.

The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, full size fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, microwave, coffee plunger etc...

There is a separate toilet which has a fully functioning Japanese toilet with heated seat and the bathroom has a heat lamp and fan. In the laundry there is a washing machine and dryer for your use and also an iron and drying facilities.

Upstairs you have a lovely double bedroom mezzanine with plenty of storage that overlooks the dining area below. There is also 2 comfy armchairs where you can sit and watch the snow fall outside with a nightcap!

Outside there is a storage cupboard for your skis / board and also where the snow clearing items are kept.

Secluded Mountain Cabin with Onsen water, less than 10 minutes from Niseko ski resort(s).

This is a cabin in the forest type place, and I love it. Be away from resort madness, and chill in the forest after you ski. It is less than 10 minutes from Niseko Moiwa and Annupri. There is a bedroom with two single beds, room to roll out 2 futons in the lounge room and a loft that will take one or a happy couple.

Our cozy cabin is located in the peaceful neighbourhood of Kabayama Village, very close to the lively Ski Resort of Hirafu.

You’ll love staying at our place away from the hustle of Hirafu and only 300m walk to the closest free Hirafu shuttle stop. 1.7km walk into Hirafu with a foot path the whole way.

It's great place for couples, friends or small families. We have another two listings available all next door to each other, if travelling in a bigger group.

The space
Our one bedroom cabin is a cozy oasis, your home away from home. Nestled amongst the white birch trees in the peaceful Kabayama Village with glimpses of Mt Annupuri from the front door.

Please note the cabin is not located in Hirafu Village (to access Hirafu Village & the Mountain, you'll have to get the free shuttle bus which is 200m walk from the cabin or you can walk into Hirafu Village (1.7km).

You can enjoy a home cooked meal in the small kitchen (no oven - stove top only) or relax on the couch with a glass of wine after a big day on the mountain.

The entire cabin is 40 sq metres in size. It isn't huge but can comfortably sleep four adults a queen size bed and oversized (semi double bunks).

The cabin allows for you to have the whole space to yourself & have the convenience of amenities like a kitchen. Each cabin is equipped with a queen sized bed and a built in semi-double (30cm wider than a normal single bed) bunk (sleeps two).

The bathroom - wet room (small bath & shower) and a seperate toilet.

The cars need to be moved around in the morning (snowplow usually comes between 10am-12pm each day it snows) to ensure that he can clear where he needs to. A small price to pay for an epic powder that Niseko receives almost on a daily basis.

Please note that the road snowplow can start clearing the snow from 6am (depending on how much snow fell overnight), this can be a little noisy as you can imagine. If you are a light sleeper we recommend wearing ear plugs.

Cosy and comfortable 3 bedroom log house located in the desirable Izumikyo area, only minutes away from Grand Hirafu ski resort.
1.5km from the town centre of Hirafu ski resort area (4 min drive, 17 min walk) and 1.8km to the nearest chairlift/gondola (5 min drive, 20 min walk).

Close enough to the action but far enough from the hustle and bustle of the town centre.

Prior to guests arrival, all touch surfaces in our property (light switches, door handles, handrails, bench tops etc) will be cleaned with alcohol and hand sanitiser made available for your health and safety.

If arriving to Hokkaido by plane, we recommend taking the bus from Sapporo (New Chitose) Airport which will take you to the Welcome Center in Hirafu and will take approximately 2.5-3.0 hrs.
*Please note: during peak winter season, we recommend booking the bus several weeks/months in advance to ensure seat availability.
Although we endeavour to pick up guests from the Welcome Center bus stop upon arrival, WE CANNOT GUARANTEE this service due to work & family commitments. In such cases you will need to catch a taxi to the property.

If catching the train from the airport, the nearest station is Kutchan.

Ane’s cosy lounge room area is centred around a wood-fired heater and also has reverse cycle air conditioning to keep you comfortable in winter or summer.

Hokkaido is known for having some of the best fresh produce and seafood in the world. So gather your own fresh ingredients and make the most of the fully equipped kitchen, our pantry stocked with beautiful local Japanese basics and our collection of Japanese cookbooks to prepare delicious home-cooked meals. Enjoy your company and your dinner around the traditional low Japanese table in the dining room overlooking the forest. Enjoy Hokkaido's beautiful summer weather and open the glass doors onto the back deck.

The small sitting area provides a place to sit and chat whilst cooking takes place in the fully equipped kitchen with gas stove, microwave/convection oven, fridge/freezer, espresso coffee machine and dishwasher.

To ensure a good night’s rest, there is an enormous master bedroom with bespoke king size bed and windows on 3 sides looking into the trees. The second bedroom has a queen size bed on a raised platform with a window and small balcony overlooking the forest and mountains.

The bathroom has a dressing area, vanity unit, linen cupboard and luxury heated toilet with bidet.

Ane’s onsen and shower were made using local beach stone with wooden details crafted from precious Japanese Cypress (Hinoki) by traditional Japanese carpenters. A full-length window opens into the pine trees.

The adjacent laundry has a washer/dryer and clothes drying rack, concealed behind antique Japanese sliding doors.

The genkan area (entryway) has drying racks, shelving, a changing bench and a heater for snow gear storage.

The outside deck and fire pit area are great places to relax in summer and get closer to nature, enjoy a campfire and cook your favourite meal.

You can conveniently park your car right at the front door.

Local restaurants, izakaya, convenience stores and supermarkets are within a 5 -20 minute drive. It’s only a 5-7 minute drive to the Moiwa and Niseko Annupuri ski resorts and a 15 minute drive to Grand Hirafu. It is the perfect location for those looking to take advantage of the amazing side and backcountry terrain in the area, as well as for those who just want to enjoy the tranquility of staying in a natural hot spring village.

In summer it is the perfect base to explore Hokkaido’s many mountains, forests, lakes and coastline. Local activities include mountain biking, hiking, fishing, rafting and golf.

A lockbox is located at the cabin entrance with keys for your stay.

A pantry of Japanese basics is already at the cabin for your visit. These include – fresh ground coffee, green tea leaves, matcha, soy sauce, mirin, cooking sake, rice wine vinegar, wasabi, canola oil, sesame oil, salt, pepper and sugar.

You will need to hire a car from Chitose Airport to reach the Niseko area and the cabins in Yunosato. To do this you will need an International Driver’s Permit through the local driver’s license authority where you live. Please remember to pack your International Driver’s Permit as you won’t be able to pick up your rental car without it.

All linen and towels are provided.

No shoes are to be worn in the cabin. Complimentary house slippers are provided for each guest.

There are few cases of coronavirus in Niseko, but all rooms are disinfected for safety.

The maximum number of guests can be accommodated is five.

The TV is an Amazon Fire TV with a large 80-inch projector screen. You can also watch Amazon Prime Video and YouTube. However, please note that you cannot watch normal terrestrial broadcasting.
In addition, please note that you will be charged if you use a pay site. Please note that even if you enter it incorrectly, the guest will be billed when the bill arrives at the host.

Air-conditioning is available for use against the heat. Air conditioning is only available in summer.
Please switch off the air-conditioner when going out and avoid using it for long periods of time.
There is also one fan in each bedroom (three fans in total).
A stove has been installed in the living room as a countermeasure against the cold.

Simple cooking utensils and tableware are provided, and you can procure your own food and cook it yourself.
