The accommodation
The Chalet is located in Higashiyama, on an elevated flat site on the edge of a forest area, immersing you in the flourishing nature of Niseko. Just 10 minutes from Hirafu, our chalet is in an ideal location, close enough to the town centre and main lifts to enjoy the restaurants and activities, but far enough away to avoid the noise and bustle. The famous Milk Kobo, Prativo (pizza) restaurant is a 2 minute walk away and the nearest ski lift, Green Leaf, is a 2 minute drive away. Niseko Village/Hilton is a 3 minute drive from the house, another option for ski lifts or a golf course and activity centre in summer! We are also 5 minutes away from various Onsen. If you have children, you can choose from the various ski schools available nearby (GoSnow, Niseko United, Niseko International Snowsports...).
The main airport is Chitose Airport in Sapporo, two hours from home. We can help you to arrange your transportation to the house.

As a guest, you have access to all rooms, however, please note that in accordance with Japanese law and for safety reasons, you are not allowed to use the fireplace. We will lock it before your arrival. We also have personal storage rooms that are locked and you will not be allowed to access them. Thank you for your understanding.

Prior to your arrival, we will put you in touch with Paul Kaye and his team at Niseko Resort Holdings who can co-ordinate your arrival/departure and assist you with any other requests you may have. Please note that all foreign drivers in Japan must carry their home country's driving licence while driving, as well as an international driving licence issued by a signatory to the 1949 Geneva Convention. Without them, it is illegal to drive.
If you are more than 8 people, we suggest you hire another small car. Delivery by car only to the house.

We have renewed the house but have kept the place a Japanese ski chalet, the lounge has retained the high ceilings with wood walls. We have a new kitchen, toilets with washlets, bathroom basins, all new windows throughout, and floor heating in the ski room/ entrance and first floor bathroom.

The space
The chalet is a comfortable home, a short drive (3 minutes) to the Annupuri Ski resort, onsens, and restaurants.

A portable air conditioning is provided in the upstairs lounge during summer season.
Also, a dehumidifier is provided during summer season.

Transportation is a must to make the most of this place.

The small town of Niseko is about 7 minutes drive and has all you need including mini supermarket, drug store and restaurants.

Kutchan is about 20 - 25 drive and has larger supermarket.

Our place is more for the person who wants to get a way from the crowds, relax in the peacefulness of the countryside.

We have a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need + all Japanese mod cons, such as rice cooker.

There are 2 living areas: an LDK and TV room/den is furnished with sofa and bean bags to hucker into a warm night by the gas stove.

The bedrooms are good sizes and can sleep 2 to 3 people no problem.

One bedroom is a traditional tatami with a modern twist, fully renewed for 17/18 winter.

The space
Le Chalet is located in Higashiyama, on an elevated-flat-site, bordering a forest area, immersing you in Niseko’s blooming nature. 10 minutes outside of Hirafu, our chalet is in an ideal location, close enough to the city center and main ski lifts to enjoy the restaurants and activities, but distant enough to avoid the noise and hustle. You can find the famous Milk Kobo, Prativo restaurant (pizza) 2 minutes down the road by foot, and you can get to the closest ski lift, Green Leaf in 2 minutes by car. The Niseko Village/Hilton is a 3 minutes drive from the house, another ski lift option, or golf course and activity center in summer! We are also 5 minutes from different Onsen. If you have children, you can choose from the different ski schools available nearby (GoSnow, Niseko United, Niseko International Snowsports...).
The main airport is the Chitose airport in Sapporo, two hours away from the house. We can help you organize your transports to get to the house.

Guest access
As guests, you have access to all the rooms, however, please note that, according to Japanese law and for safety reasons, you are not allowed to use the fireplace. We will lock it prior to your arrival. We also have personal storage rooms which are locked and you will not be given access to. Thank you for your understanding.

Prior to your arrival, we will put you in contact with Paul Kaye and his team at Niseko Resort Holdings who can coordinate your check-ins/outs and assist you with other inquiries you may have.
Please note, all foreign drivers in Japan need to have their home-country license on them while driving, as well as an international driver's license issued by a signatory to the 1949 Geneva Convention. Without these, it is illegal to drive.
If you are more than 8 people, we propose that you rent another small car. Car delivery only at home.
If you are travelling with young children, please keep in mind that our home has a staircase.
