This villa is separated from the beach by only one large sand dune. No sea view, but this is as close to the private beach - accessible only to residents of the Estate - as you can get, and the soothing sound of the ocean is constantly heard. The living room and two of the bedrooms have doors, which open onto the patio, with a lovey lush garden.
Although the unit was renovated to ensure that the comfort of modern amenities, such as a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher, are available, care was taken to maintain the charming Caribbean beach house feel, and the house is decorated in cool blues, to contrast with the terracotta floors. There are two fire pits that are available for those wanting to sit by a fire or braai.

Our closest beaches are beautiful. Easy access for those wanting to fish or for those wanting to enjoy a beach scurry.

A spacious, minimalistic living area invites you to practise yoga or engage in your favourite creative endeavours. The adjoining bedroom with ensuite bathroom invites for a relaxing sleep in a orthopaedic queen bed. The kitchen is equipped with all necessities to cook up your favourite meal. A small braai and firewood can be supplied on request.

The space
The holiday apartment is in a side building adjacent to the main house and nestled in a large subtropical garden featuring uncertified organic fruit, vegetables and herbs. It is also a heaven for local wildlife including monkeys and rare birds. My sister and a local caretaker live on site. Part of the family are three rescue dogs of quirky character and two cats. The property is equipped with rainwater tanks with a total capacity of over 25 000 l to avoid any interruption in supply. There are several bee colonies housed in a designated bee hut further down in the garden. While bees and humans usually don't get into trouble with each other on the property, visitors are advised to be mindful.

Guests can park on the property and have a private entrance from the front and their own veranda towards the back garden. You are welcome to explore the expansive grounds and enjoy the garden. Access to a washing machine in the main house is available on request.

International visitors coming into Johannesburg OR Tambo can either fly into Durban King Shaka with several flight options (2hr drive), or Margate Airport with Cemair (30 min drive but only one flight per day)

Little Jack's is a private open plan, two sleeper studio with separate kitchen & bathroom. The cottage is spacious with a comfy double bed, ideal for a couple or solo traveller. The cottage is located on a large plot on raised ground adjacent to the owner's home & is 2 mins from the beach, shops & local amenities. Parking is shared in the main drive way, your garden is fenced & includes a table & umbrella. Tastefully decorated, well kitted, peaceful, clean, pet friendly & affordable.

The space
The cottage is a new build and although finished and neat is an ongoing project. It is comfortable and homely and has its own private garden. Please note that the parking and vehicle gate is shared. The area is lush and quiet, great for relaxing.

Guests have access to their separate garden that overlooks the grounds and the owners house below.

Other things to note
It is preferable to bring only one dog, unless otherwise arranged, as the space is not well suited to large or multiple dogs. You have your own gated off private garden next to the cottage. Please note that we have two medium sized friendly dogs that live in their own garden and are kept away from guest spaces. Whilst the drive way is shared and you may see the owner come and go through the main gate, we intend to give you your privacy as far as possible. We have a groundsman who lives adjacent to the cottage some nights during the week. He works week days on the property. We will deep clean the cottage after you leave however please put your own trash in the outside bin before you leave.
