This house sits off the main road of FM 2353 at Possum Kingdom and is located near local restaurants, bars, and stores. Rocker B Ranch is only 11 miles and the lake is .25 miles away. PK Ice House and concert Venue 1.2 miles away. Check out the historic stone arch bridge where Highway 16 crosses the Brazos River below the dam only 6.5 miles away. While you're there, take a dip in the cool water or launch your kayak/canoe for a river adventure. The Cliffs Golf Course and Resort is a short distance for those wanting to have a great time on the course. You can find a nice swim area at one of the lake’s sandy beaches, or anchor your boat in one of the coves and take a dip, like the famous Hell’s Gate for a great party scene. Great fishing spots nearby and hiking trails with beautiful scenery too.

Additional boat/trailer parking is available (no charge) at the owners residence (one mile away) for those staying at the cabin.

Amenities were as stated with adequate towels, washcloths, toilet tissue, paper towels, pillows, and extra blankets. AC system was great and kept the house cool for the 4th of July weekend. Host was phenomenal. Very helpful with listing, adjusting guest count, and info about the property and area. Will stay again at any property available from host for our next visit. "

Bring family and friends to enjoy this beautiful Possum Kingdom lake front home! Lake front with beach entry surrounding the entire backside of the property. The home is spacious for entertaining with a screened in back porch with beautiful lake views and a large game room with everything you could ever want! We recently added a hot tub and even have 4 kayaks and 2 paddle boards for guest use.
The home features 4 bedrooms & 3 full baths. Primary room has a king, guest room 1 with a queen and guest room with a queen & and twin. 4th bedroom is an oversized bunk room with a 3 full-size beds and 2 twins.Bunk room also has an en suite full bathroom, TV and lots of games! 2 separate living rooms with sectional couches and a bonus reading room with a day bed/trundle overlooking the lake. We have several entertaining spaces available through out the property!
Outside offers a screened-in back porch with beautiful views of the lake (my favorite spot!) and a large private boat dock. Fish right off the dock or swim from your very own sandy beach. We are located in a cove on main body so it's a great spot for water toys!
**We do have our personal boat on a lift in the boat slip. Bumpers are provided on the sides and you are able to tie off on the side of the dock.**
Also, you will find a large detached 2 car garage converted into a game room with its own bathroom & Heater/AC. Offers a pool table, ping pong table, air hockey table, foosball, poker table & corn hole boards.
Weber gas and charcoal grills for all of your outdoor cooking under the outdoor covered patio! Large fire pit with chairs for all of your late night S'more cooking! And, new this year, we have added a hot tub just off the patio!

The Lazy Possum Cottage is a modern fishing cabin on the north side of Possum Kingdom Lake. This remodeled waterfront property offers a gentle slope to the water perfect for swimming and wading. It is usually deep enough to moor a boat or jet skis right at the shore although if the water level fluctuates you might have to tie it up a little further out or use our boat slip at the marina less than a quarter of a mile down the road. This is also the closest boat ramp.

The house has 2 bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other with a queen. It will sleep 6 if the queen sized sofa bed is used. There is also room for floor mattresses if prior arrangements are made. It also has 2 full baths, one with a shower and deep tub combo, the master offers a walk in shower next to a jacuzzi tub. A laundry room with a full size washer and dryer is off the first bathroom. The large open kitchen with its granite countertops and farmhouse sink offers appliances including an oven, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher as well as small appliances such as coffee maker, blender, and toaster oven. Included are dishes, silverware, cups, barware, pots and pans, tea kettle, hand mixer, knives and baking dishes. A complementary starter array of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate is provided. The large living room doubles as a dining room that seats 6. There are 2 televisions both equipped with the ability to sign in to your favorite streaming service. There is surround sound in the living room and you can connect to the system via Bluetooth to stream music inside and on the porch. WiFi is provided. There is a gas fireplace that is available for use in the colder months.

On the lake side of the house is a screened in patio complete with a gas grill. Grill utensils are available. There is a built in eating bar facing the lake so you can enjoy the view. There is plenty of yard for the kids to enjoy and an outdoor shower to rinse off with easy access to the bathroom through the side door.

This location is right down the street from several restaurants, bait shops, gas stations, a small grocery store with an awesome meat counter, and a liquor store. Nearby are lots of trails for hiking and biking. Boat and jet ski rentals are available near-by and if you are looking for fishing services, let me know and I will get you in touch with an awesome local guide.

- "Perfect for our summer vacation. Lake was about 95% full so there was plenty of sand for the kids to play in. Water depth was a gradual, gentle slope. For a 6ft individual had to go out quite far to get chest deep. Again, perfect for me and my family. The house appears to have been remodeled recently and was beautiful and well-kept. Everything was not as described- it was more! We really enjoyed the enclosed patio with a great lake view. We met one of the neighbors who was quite pleasant. Others in the area were friendly as well. It seemed to be a quiet area, no unreasonable or excessive noise. Courtney was excellent in her communications with us. She provided so much more than was required. The small details, such as having snacks and everything necessary for coffee were above and beyond. Same goes for the beach toys for the kids and tubes for adults. Truly a great property and host, as well as location! If we go back to PK next year we will stay here. Well done Courtney!"

Please don’t try to stuff our super clean VRBO with your 5 man work crew for a work week - max 2-3 man workcrew guests for multi night stay. Also, please don’t cook up a massive pot of Jambalaya in the room (😄) for our future guests to savor. If you need to sleep a crew of 4 or more workers for a single night the owner will approve *if* you request in advance, but this can’t work for more than 2-3 nights (please communicate honestly with owner or risk losing your entire $400 deposit for extra deep cleaning - house rule)**

- "There are several RV’s and other experience to be had at this little gem!" - "Comfortable and quiet. No fancy but we enjoyed our stay and will use again if in the area." - "Very cute. The kids really enjoyed the playground that’s right out front and the parking for our car and our boat was perfect. We booked this last minute, and it did fit the budget, however the property was in need of some TLC. If you’re looking for a place with cold AC and somewhere to sleep, it works great. If you’re looking for a place to stay longer than a night or two, move along. The shower situation was the weakest link of them all and the reason for 3 stars. We own a camper and we’re confident we could adapt, but the shower door is broken, hot water knob does nothing, and the shower head is mounted 2’-3’ high. Upgrading the property to have an outdoor shower might be the most effective way to satisfy future adult guests. The concept (Airstream park) has a lot of potential, but there are a lot of loose ends currently."
