This house sits off the main road of FM 2353 at Possum Kingdom and is located near local restaurants, bars, and stores. Rocker B Ranch is only 11 miles and the lake is .25 miles away. PK Ice House and concert Venue 1.2 miles away. Check out the historic stone arch bridge where Highway 16 crosses the Brazos River below the dam only 6.5 miles away. While you're there, take a dip in the cool water or launch your kayak/canoe for a river adventure. The Cliffs Golf Course and Resort is a short distance for those wanting to have a great time on the course. You can find a nice swim area at one of the lake’s sandy beaches, or anchor your boat in one of the coves and take a dip, like the famous Hell’s Gate for a great party scene. Great fishing spots nearby and hiking trails with beautiful scenery too.

Additional boat/trailer parking is available (no charge) at the owners residence (one mile away) for those staying at the cabin.

Bring family and friends to enjoy this beautiful Possum Kingdom lake front home! Lake front with beach entry surrounding the entire backside of the property. The home is spacious for entertaining with a screened in back porch with beautiful lake views and a large game room with everything you could ever want! We recently added a hot tub and even have 4 kayaks and 2 paddle boards for guest use.
The home features 4 bedrooms & 3 full baths. Primary room has a king, guest room 1 with a queen and guest room with a queen & and twin. 4th bedroom is an oversized bunk room with a 3 full-size beds and 2 twins.Bunk room also has an en suite full bathroom, TV and lots of games! 2 separate living rooms with sectional couches and a bonus reading room with a day bed/trundle overlooking the lake. We have several entertaining spaces available through out the property!
Outside offers a screened-in back porch with beautiful views of the lake (my favorite spot!) and a large private boat dock. Fish right off the dock or swim from your very own sandy beach. We are located in a cove on main body so it's a great spot for water toys!
**We do have our personal boat on a lift in the boat slip. Bumpers are provided on the sides and you are able to tie off on the side of the dock.**
Also, you will find a large detached 2 car garage converted into a game room with its own bathroom & Heater/AC. Offers a pool table, ping pong table, air hockey table, foosball, poker table & corn hole boards.

The Lazy Possum Cottage is a modern fishing cabin on the north side of Possum Kingdom Lake. This remodeled waterfront property offers a gentle slope to the water perfect for swimming and wading. It is usually deep enough to moor a boat or jet skis right at the shore although if the water level fluctuates you might have to tie it up a little further out or use our boat slip at the marina less than a quarter of a mile down the road. This is also the closest boat ramp.

The house has 2 bedrooms, one with a king size bed and the other with a queen. It will sleep 6 if the queen sized sofa bed is used. There is also room for floor mattresses if prior arrangements are made. It also has 2 full baths, one with a shower and deep tub combo, the master offers a walk in shower next to a jacuzzi tub. A laundry room with a full size washer and dryer is off the first bathroom. The large open kitchen with its granite countertops and farmhouse sink offers appliances including an oven, refrigerator, microwave, and dishwasher as well as small appliances such as coffee maker, blender, and toaster oven. Included are dishes, silverware, cups, barware, pots and pans, tea kettle, hand mixer, knives and baking dishes. A complementary starter array of coffee, tea, and hot chocolate is provided. The large living room doubles as a dining room that seats 6. There are 2 televisions both equipped with the ability to sign in to your favorite streaming service. There is surround sound in the living room and you can connect to the system via Bluetooth to stream music inside and on the porch. WiFi is provided. There is a gas fireplace that is available for use in the colder months.

On the lake side of the house is a screened in patio complete with a gas grill. Grill utensils are available. There is a built in eating bar facing the lake so you can enjoy the view. There is plenty of yard for the kids to enjoy and an outdoor shower to rinse off with easy access to the bathroom through the side door.

This location is right down the street from several restaurants, bait shops, gas stations, a small grocery store with an awesome meat counter, and a liquor store. Nearby are lots of trails for hiking and biking. Boat and jet ski rentals are available near-by and if you are looking for fishing services, let me know and I will get you in touch with an awesome local guide.

- "Perfect for our summer vacation. Lake was about 95% full so there was plenty of sand for the kids to play in. Water depth was a gradual, gentle slope. For a 6ft individual had to go out quite far to get chest deep. Again, perfect for me and my family. The house appears to have been remodeled recently and was beautiful and well-kept. Everything was not as described- it was more! We really enjoyed the enclosed patio with a great lake view. We met one of the neighbors who was quite pleasant. Others in the area were friendly as well. It seemed to be a quiet area, no unreasonable or excessive noise. Courtney was excellent in her communications with us. She provided so much more than was required. The small details, such as having snacks and everything necessary for coffee were above and beyond. Same goes for the beach toys for the kids and tubes for adults. Truly a great property and host, as well as location! If we go back to PK next year we will stay here. Well done Courtney!"

- "There are several RV’s and other experience to be had at this little gem!" - "Comfortable and quiet. No fancy but we enjoyed our stay and will use again if in the area." - "Very cute. The kids loved sleeping in the vintage car!!! Nice touch. I loved everything about it The hot tub isnt to hot on a summer night and has chlorine and the fire pit was great. But my teens LOVED the vintage playground WlLL STAY HERE AGAIN " - "I’ll start by saying we had a great time, but the pictures were a little deceiving. The kids really enjoyed the playground that’s right out front and the parking for our car and our boat was perfect. We booked this last minute, and it did fit the budget, however the property was in need of some TLC. If you’re looking for a place with cold AC and somewhere to sleep, it works great. If you’re looking for a place to stay longer than a night or two, move along. The shower situation was the weakest link of them all and the reason for 3 stars. We own a camper and we’re confident we could adapt, but the shower door is broken, hot water knob does nothing, and the shower head is mounted 2’-3’ high. Upgrading the property to have an outdoor shower might be the most effective way to satisfy future adult guests. The concept (Airstream park) has a lot of potential, but there are a lot of loose ends currently."

We have taken older properties around the lake and renovate them ourselves to bring new life to our homes. We love to see the neighborhood flourish and to be able to share that with others is what we love to do and strive to make your experience wonderful. In The Bungalow, we have a one bedroom cozy home. There is a plush queen bed in the bedroom as well as a queen sofa sleeper in the living room. We have everything you need in the kitchen as well as great patio to grill on and enjoy the hot tub or a cozy fire on the fire pit.

Check in was easy, finding the location was easy, plenty of space for the four of us. Great comfy furniture, extra blankets and cool propane fire pit on the porch. Loved the lamps with the built in usb ports for charging phones. Downside was no wash rags for showering, noisy creaking in floors so you could hear when someone was up walking around, no shades on upstairs balcony door so we had to change in the bathroom. And no where to unpack/sit my clothes, no dresser or table of any sort in bedrooms so I had to live out of my suitcase. And it rained while we were there and I wanted to sit on the back porch while it rained but the upstairs balcony leaked onto the porch below so I couldn’t. And the back porches of the retreat homes back up to one another so you can hear your neighbors like they are right there in the same home with you. All in all cute place and enjoyed my stay. Loved the decor."

- "Can't wait to vacation here again really soon..." - "We really enjoyed our stay, the deck at night was amazing, a couple little small things happened the door knob fell off, we tried to fix it but couldn’t, the beds were comfy, it was a very cozy getaway we enjoyed very much!" - "This is in a terrible neighborhood, first of all. There is a wall all around the property and we found out why when we tried to walk to the lake. There is no public access to the lake, so the 10-minute walk mentioned in the listing is wrong. As soon as we arrived, I realized that the pictures in the listing were not accurate. There are no fences around the decks, which I liked because we brought our dogs. The pics were of a different camp site with a different vehicle. We booked one with a school bus, but the pictures showed a panel wagon. The hot tub was not hot, so we ended up having to use the hot tub at the next-door camper. There was no way to plug in the TV and we had to move it to a different wall. The Wi-Fi did not work, too far from the router, wherever it was. There was absolutely no way any of us could fit in the shower. No running water in the bathroom sink, either. Cute idea and set-up, but the pics need to be updated with accurate descriptions and all the other details need to be taken care of. "

Back door is all glass with no blinds so anyone can see you in the day and night through the blinds and back door. - "This is our 2nd time staying at this property. It has gotten better since our first visit (think we might have been the first guests). The main thing I can say about it is that it is super clean. The appliances work excellent. The grill is great. Ability to walk less than 100yds to a large pool, and a walk across the street to let my kids fish! (Caught a catfish). If there is a small criticism? No real direct light over the dinner table, and after a long day, the TV really has no options, could not connect to Hulu, or even screen share my phone. So the TV was not useable to us, but we got a little more sleep….lol. We will definitely rent here again"

- "The location and size of this cabin is really great. Everything worked well and the views were pretty good. It's close to some excellent trails for hiking. It's also close to some good places to relax and eat/drink. The real estate folks running these are excellent communicators and are very responsive. The cabin is great, the VRBO fees not so much. - "I stayed for the weekend with my 2 dogs. The cabin was perfect and the area offered the perfect walking path for us. Even though it is part of a wooded resort with many cabins, it still offer privacy inside and out. It had views of the lake and was located across the street from a public boat ramp. Also nearby is the Trading Post, for any grocery items you need, and restaurants, including a couple with outdoor seating for my dogs. The cabin was stocked with all the cooking equipment and utensils you need and even had some hygiene items, like shampoo and conditioner. The bed was cozy and comfortable. I’ll definitely stay here again. "

A variety of restaurants are close by as well as the Trading Post for groceries if cooking on your grill is what you desire. All the hiking trails on the lake can be accessed from behind your suite.
