Jamaica Beach is a 979 Crew well-loved community located about 10 minutes from the heart of Galveston and is part of the island's desirable West End offering restaurants, grocery, and beach-worthy activities. Jamaica Beach has access to the Gulf side as well as the Bay side (house dependent) and also has its own fire and police department plus city park with pool. Jamaica Beach's boat launch is restricted. If you plan on bringing a boat, the closest public launch is at Waterman's off Stewart Road about 3 miles east of Jamaica Beach.

For any new reservation, you may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. Some exceptions may apply for last-minute reservations.

After that, cancel at least 30 days before your check-in and receive a refund in your original form of payment less the booking fee.

You probably won't be home much, but when you are...there's a full kitchen, comfy couch, smart TV, fast wifi & desk for those who need to do a little work on vacation. Weekly/monthly discounts!!

The Space:
The living room and dining room are spacious. Smart TV w/Roku (Netflix, DirectTV Stream, etc...). The kitchen table is great for working, eating, or games. The kitchen is on the small side, but efficient and has everything you need for a full cooked meal. The full bathroom serves both bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen bed, closet, and two end tables. The back bedroom connects to a back room that has it's own 1/2 bath, dedicated workspace with a desk, and full-size washer and dryer. You can access the private fenced patio from this room, or the enclosed sunroom down the hall.

Guest Access:
The patio is private, and like the shares a common wall with the unit next door. There's a large yard out the patio door as well that's shared with other guests, but other than that, everything else is completely separated. The driveway is reserved for guests in UNIT A, but there are steps leading from the street alongside the driveway for access to the patio.

The Neighborhood:
The neighborhood is an eclectic mix of old and new homes, nestled in a diverse part of downtown. Here, you can find commercial and residential areas all together in the same vicinity. The people here are very friendly; you often see neighbors talking to each other on their porches or out on a walk. There are trails nearby leading to the river, parks, and a variety of restaurants and coffee shops for everyone to explore downtown. It's a great place for residents to come together and make the most of living in such an exciting part of town!

Getting Around:
There is plenty of street parking in front or on the side (corner lot), and you can load/unload and enter the property from the steps along the driveway leading to the patio/back door. We stay here sometimes when it's not booked, and generally walk or ride bikes everywhere we go.

Other Things to Note:
We have had multiple guests bring kids, and we 100% welcome them! We have one pack & play available in the closet of the back bedroom. When it's not booked, my wife & daughters often stay and/or work from here and love it.

The Space:
The living, kitchen and dining rooms are very open and flow nicely to the back deck. Bedrooms are both good sizes. Bedroom 1 has 1 king and features an ensuite full bath and closet. Bedroom 2 has a queen, closet, and is a short walk down the hall to the 2nd full bathroom and washer and dryer closet. There is an air mattress (Queen) as well. The backyard has a fence separating it from the properties to the right and left. You may see a guest at one of the neighboring units from time to time, but it's generally very private.

This is an extremely unique neighborhood and feels "off the beaten path" even though it's very close to downtown. It's one of the oldest "neighborhoods" in Georgetown. The road is a little bumpy right now as they're planning to re-pave it. Before you get to the property, you'll pass a couple homes that need some maintenance, some brand new, and just a mixture of properties. Everyone is very friendly.

Getting Around:
There's plenty of parking in the circular driveway in front of the house, just make sure not to block the driveway for either house to the right and left.

Other Things to Note:

- "My husband and I rented this property for the weekend as a Babymoon/Birthday/Valentine's getaway. We loved the views and enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub multiple times a day. The only negative thing I could say, especially as an 8 month pregnant woman, is that the beds, sofas, and some of the other seating was really low to the ground, which made it hard for me to get up and down at times. But everything else made up for it. We would definitely recommend this property or return ourselves. We got to enjoy some nice restaurants in the area and liked the scenic drives."
