The Idiot's Hill Guest House is surrounded by established trees and lots of natural light. The kitchen is well supplied for your time in Denton with an oven/stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee pot, washer/drier and kitchen utensils. We have fast wifi and a Roku for netflix, hulu or any subscriptions you have.

When its time for bed you will enjoy our queen size bed with 400 thread count sheets, as well as a brand new pull out sleeper sofa with upgraded foam mattress.

Denton is famous for many gifted musicians who have come through their nationally acclaimed Jazz program, and you can listen to some selected albums on our record player.

You will have full access to the private and detached guest house. You have your own driveway which leads down a lighted path on the side of the house leading to the guest house. You will be sent the code for the lock prior to your arrival. You will have private access to all aspects of the guest house including the Living Room, Bedroom, Full Bathroom, Dining Area, Kitchen, as well as a laundry area complete with a washer and dryer. As we live in the main house in front with our children, you will not have access to the backyard.

This house was perfectly located for us in all respects. It was close to family, recreation areas, beautiful downtown Denton and Grapevine and all of the venues we needed to access for the graduation. The house itself was perfection. First off, it was clean with all of the amenities necessary for our stay. The floor plan gave us the room we needed in between family visits to relax and unwind. The kitchen was well-stocked and all of the linens were fresh and plentiful. Our hosts made it so easy to access the home and all of the details for our stay were clearly spelled out. For being in an established neighborhood, it was quiet and very relaxing. I would definitely stay at Idiot's Hill (aptly named:) again for the events in the years to come. Amazing views of accessible nature trails, nature preserves, ponds, athletic sports complex with kid and dog parks all around you. You have access to washer and dryers, full kitchen for cooking and storing drinks, tv, all streaming services, wifi.
Really close to shopping centers, restaurant's, movie theatre, etc...

Security is top priority in the case of any unforeseen incidents occur. For security purposes there’s a Ring Doorbell camera and a Ring hallway camera facing the back of the front door and stairs for added safety.
On the front door there’s ring security notifications on the front and back stating to be aware of the property is protected by Ring security.

The townhome was within 1.5 miles of major grocery stores and restaurants, easy and convenient to what we needed. We walked around the townhome complex everyday as well, which is very new, safe and quiet. Lastly, Cory was amazing to work with. I told him I have rented 30+ rentals over the last 10-15 years and this rental is in the top 3. This is a great place to stay and would do again without hesitation. - "The property was very well photographed in advance, and things look just as I expected. Communication in advance was detailed, good guidance on getting checked in and checked out. Reasonable check out procedures. Friendly communication at all steps. I was very pleased to have strong AC available plus additional fans as needed, given how hot it is in Texas in the summer! The owners of clearly worked hard to create a lovely, well, equipped rental. Lots of beachy artwork, comfortable furniture, and lovely outdoor space. We paid extra for a pet fee, and we’re very pleased with the yard available for our dog. Parking was easy, and the neighborhood was quite lovely. Easy to get to restaurants, groceries, the lake. And there were lots of restaurants that could deliver via various apps. We were quite pleased. Would absolutely stay again!"

Denton itself is a growing college city that has magically kept a touch of small-town charm about it. It's known for its spectacular live music scene, lively night life, gorgeous courthouse square, and its two major universities. Denton’s combination of history and culture, along with its convenient location just 40 miles north of Dallas, makes it a compelling travel destination for just about anyone.

The space:
800 sq. ft of newly built comfort and luxury. 2 bedrooms each have their own bathroom. Pull-out queen size sofa boasts a brand new, luxury matress. One of our personal favorite features is the deck in your own private backyard, shaded by mature trees. Even in the heat of the Texas summer, it's a lovely and serene respite from the world.

The Casita is located in the large backyard of our main residence, so we may even cross paths! You'll have access to the full Casita, the private walk leading to it, and the fenced backyard! We do our best to honor all guests' privacy and quiet - we're happy to engage, but we'll let you take the lead.

We'll help make your life easier if you're traveling with small children! We can provide a pack n' play and recommendations for local sitters upon request.

The Gato Bandito is a real cat, and roams the property freely. He's incredibly friendly and charismatic, but please do not let him (or any other animals) into the Casita. We love hearing of your Bandito sightings!

Quiet and safe neighborhood. Directly across the street from a large green space. Playground equipment, library and outdoor pool in green space. There is a visitor pass to put in your car so you can park right by the apartment. There is also plenty of street parking and easy to walk to close amenities and Texas Woman`s University. The downtown square is less than 15 minutes walk away.

Walking to close by restaurants and shops is easy and safe. Access many places within a 5 minute walk. The main square is less than 15 minutes walking. Texas Woman`s University is directly beside the property.
