We notified them the coffee pot was broken, and they purchased a brand new one and brought it by the same day. Guests need to be aware the TV is streaming only. Though in no way a reflection on the host, the lake being so low was a disappointment as we chose the cabin based on fishing out the back door at the dock. We did enjoy R&R just the same."

Relax at the lounge on one of the four balconies, or watch the sunset down at the fire pit. Inside, enjoy the two living rooms or venture up the spiral stairs to the crow’s nest for a panoramic view. If you need to get some work done, take your pick between a dedicated office or the conference room with multiple whiteboards. The Lake House is the perfect spot for work and play.

The space:
Whether you are here for a work retreat or an executive getaway, “The Lake House” has several quiet areas for you to escape and recharge. In the morning, you will enjoy coffee from the Jura coffee machine as you watch fish jump across the surface of the lake. Feel free to relax in one of three outdoor patios or down on the private dock. If you feel productive, you can start the day with a workout in the CrossFit inspired full gym, which features a squat rack, free weights, Universal machine, and a Peloton.

When you feel inspired to get some work done, head up the spiral staircase for a view of the entire lake area. There you will feel inspired to write, create, and brainstorm, or you can use it as a recording area with a view.

On the main floor you will find the living room, fully stocked kitchen, and dining area, as well as a balcony. There are two bedrooms (one with a full bed and one with 2 twin beds), a full bathroom, and a half bath/laundry room combo. The main floor also has a dedicated office space with plenty of desk space, including an adjustable standing desk, a printer, 2 monitors, and access to your typical office supplies. Of course, there is wifi available throughout the house.

The primary suite has its own floor, and the bedroom has a queen bed and a chaise lounge. You will enjoy lake views from your bedroom, or you can escape to the small balcony for a full outdoor view. The crown jewel of the house is the master bathroom, which features a luxurious tub and a large shower with three showerheads.

If your co-workers or clients come to visit, you can surprise them by opening the secret doorway that leads to the conference area. There you will find a wall of whiteboards and a conference table to work together, with a mini bar, small fridge, and lounge area ready to support a full work day.

Should you choose to bring children, you can send them away to the kids playroom room, which is stocked full of art supplies, books, and toys, as well as a wall of white boards for fun doodling. If they like it there too much to leave, they can sleep on the futon that folds out into a single bed.

When you feel ready to end the day, you will discover the hammock in the backyard, and you can put a signature on the day by the fire pit and private dock. The lake temperature is always inviting, and there is a swim ladder to make it easier to get on and off the dock when you go swimming in the lake.

At night you can turn on the string lights in the backyard trees as well as on the decks off the main floor living room and the basement living room. They make for a magical experience once the sun has set.

Whether you stay at the house all day or escape to one of the many wonderful restaurants in the area, “The Lake House” offers a perfect place for a quiet escape for you, your family, or your clients.

Guest access:
The house is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood on a narrow road so parking along the street is discouraged because it's so narrow. But the garage will hold 2 cars and is available for your use, including the EV charger, and the driveway can park 6 cars. You have full use of the house, the yard, and the dock (except the 2 jet skis).

Other things to note - EVENTS:
The house is available for events, gatherings, and some types of parties. We've done several workshops and retreats at the house, which are a perfect fit for the space. The house accommodates a group of 15-20 daytime guests very well. We might consider allowing 25-30 people depending on the event, but 30 would be the maximum number allowed. (Please reach out and let us know your needs and we can discuss your options.)

We have some supplies on hand that help manage a workshop or retreat with ease. And we'd be happy to share information on how we've handled events successfully in the past.

If you're interested in doing any kind of event, you will need to be approved first. Please reach out to me before booking with the details so we can discuss what's possible. Without approval, any kind of event is prohibited and the house rule of a 10 guest maximum remains in effect.

Note: With event approval, you could be allowed to have up to 30 people at the house, but only during the daytime. Overnight guests at the house are limited to 10 people.

Our beautiful 16ft bungalow-style yurt is 201 square feet of circular coziness and comfort. It feels very large and spacious inside. The Macaw Yurt features a comfortable queen size bed, multiple soft aloe vera pillows, organic cotton sheets and bedding, and a full size pull out sofa bed. We love snacks and amenities as much as anyone, so we've put in an electric kettle, a retro microwave, mini fridge with a large freezer, local coffee from Austin, boutique assortment of tea, 2 liters of our well water, and some snacks. We have our A/C + a fan pumping during the summer months, and the portable heater + heated blanketscranking in the winter, so you'll feel comfortable and right at home.

Bunny Hop Cabin is tucked away in a cool "old Austin" neighborhood off Lake Travis. You'll feel like you are at a special retreat in the woods with a firepit, steaming swim spa (plunge pool in the summer), screened porch with a bed and rocking chairs, and lots of stone outdoor sitting areas.

The cabin is a short walk to a marina with boat rentals, 5 minutes from excellent restaurants and stores, and a short Hill Country drive from wineries, breweries & dance halls.
The space
This house is perfect for epsom salt baths, restful nights under the stars by the firepit, and naps out on the porch with birdsong all around. Bring some bath salts and your favorite book (or grab one from my shelf) and indulge! The next morning, you can wake up with coffee in the steaming swim spa watching the sun rise over the trees.

Days around here are easy with walks, swims, or whatever kind of boating you might like.

There is a full kitchen, but also many restaurants, breweries and other culinary adventures nearby.

This cabin is my home and a place that I created as a place of respite and joy. I love sharing it with travelers and while you are here, you will have privacy and full use of the house: driveway, patios areas, front and back yards and spa area. I have some cabinets locked in the house for my personal use and they are clearly marked with locks.

I sometimes stay on the half-acre property in my garage or travel trailer (near garage). The area I stay in is adjacent to the house and at the end of the driveway, but there are no shared spaces. I like to give guests (and allow myself) full privacy.

Other things to note
There is a cat named Kitty on the property. You are a special and gentle person if she lets you hang out near her. If you get to pet her, you have earned major bragging rights! This is probably not the property for you if you are allergic to cats in a big way. She does enter the house when no one is around, but will most likely be in the garage and under the house during your visit.

Pets are welcome but please keep them on a leash outdoors. We have a lot of wildlife that can hurt pets if chased or left loose. Your pets are free to be off-leash in the small fenced backyard assuming they won't destroy the vegetation. (The rest of the property is un-fenced.)

Feel free to bring bird seed if you want to attract birds during your visit. I will also add some to the feeders for your visit.

The deer also love to be fed and enjoy cut up carrots, apples, pumpkins and unshelled unsalted peanuts. I've been told corn isn't good for them! If you put a pile of any of these goodies on the rock walls around the yard, the deer will come and hang out for awhile.

The critters love visiting the water spots throughout the day. I will fill up all the water bowls ahead of your visit too.

Finally, this is the Texas Hill Country. Even though we are close to the city, we do still have bees, spiders, scorpions, snakes, coyote, hawks, foxes, and skunks on regular rotation. All of these animals make our area special and are needed. Shake out any clothes or shoes left on the floor or ground. Watch your pets and don't let them chase; I have seen deer really hurt a dog.

We do treat for pests quarterly in the living spaces so critters don't usually make their way inside, but can.

Welcome to what locals call “Old Lakeway.” Your bedroom has two queen beds and a private bathroom attached. You have access to a beautiful west facing balcony where you can watch sunset and look out over the hills. Fantastic local restaurants and bars just a five minute drive away. This is a quiet neighborhood. There is no beaches on lake Travis. We are a 40 min walk/7 min drive to Lakeway marina. Or 30 min walk/4 min drive to Lakeway city park that does have rocky “beaches” when the water is up. But we are not lakefront or have lake access.

Nestled in the hill country in a private neighborhood called Graveyard Point on Lake Travis is our glamping site near Austin, TX. Thoughtfully designed and built with luxury amenities like AC and organic cotton sheets, we offers solitude and peace amongst the trees and birds by the lake. We have two cozy, comfortable yurts for the modern wanderer and nature lover - a place where you can cut the noise and escape to the quiet. Our yurt homestead is on our safe private property. The space
Our beautiful "Macaw Yurt" is a 16ft yurt is 201 square feet of circular coziness and comfort. It feels very large and spacious inside! "The Macaw Yurt" features a very comfortable queen size bed, multiple soft aloe vera pillows, organic cotton sheets and bedding, plus a full size sofa bed. We love snacks and amenities as much as anyone, so we've put in an electric kettle, a retro microwave, mini fridge with a large freezer, local coffee from Austin, boutique assortment of tea, 2 liters of our well water, and some light snacks. We have our A/C pumping during the summer months and the heat cranking in the winter, so you'll feel comfortable and right at home.

Guests can access their yurts of course, the bathrooms, kitchen, fire pit area, the aqua pool deck, the outdoor lounge and dining picnic tables. We also have a bocce ball area and corn hole.

Our yurts are on our private property, so our house is nearby. You get full reign of the hot/cool tub, outdoor kitchen and bathrooms, garden, fire pit, and the entire area to make you feel at home. Enjoy!
