- "Very original setting , close to the city and yet amping the animals" - "This was an absolutely pleasurable stay. It was so peaceful and quiet, except for the animals of course, which were so fun to watch and interact with! Chicken, ducks, geese, etc as well as goats and the very friendly longhorns. The unit was clean and stocked with coffee and creamer, water and bagged chips. The coffee pot is the Ninja brand and was very nice. Made a great cup of coffee. Beds were very comfortable. The glass garage style door that opens was such a nice addition. It was so nice and cool in the morning and we opened the door and drank our coffee while enjoying the sunrise. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Love the hanging lights at night and the Alexa speaker. Definitely recommend. "

- "Had a wonderful stay during the eclipse. The owner treated my wife, two daughters, and me like family. We even grilled chicken together and drank some of his excellent wine. We loved the "Garden of Eden," wine selection. We stayed above the wine tasting room at the main building which had hardwood floors and was neat and clean. The property owner is kind of hard to get ahold of, but he's very kind and helpful if you can get him on the phone. Upon arrival, your key will be in the door of your rental house. There are no signs on the property.. just drive around until you find the house you rented.. there are only 6-7 houses on this property and they are all distinctly different. We came at night and it is far from the main road (and from downtown Fredericksburg is about 30 min out). We had no problem being a bit further out, as we would just go downtown and to the wineries during the day. I would definitely be careful with deer/wild animals if you are driving at night. Also, there are narrow bridges to get to the property, so drive slow. Overall beautiful property, the cottage was extremely clean and we loved the “breakfast boxes” each morning!
