Our goal, when designing our space, is to put ourselves in your shoes. The question that comes to mind is "what will create an enjoyable experience?" Every detail that goes into the space, from the furniture, to the art, is meant to serve as an extension of joy in the space in some way, whether that is through function, form or both. We hope that when you stay here, you experience a moment of joy – a moment that was designed by our family for yours.

Mindful Choices
- 100% cotton bedding and towels, whenever possible. Sometimes, generous guests replace damaged linens at our units, and unbeknownst to us they are made of synthetic materials. Should you discover this during your stay, please reach out and let us know, so we can make use of them another way!
- We encourage reusing towels, whenever possible! This reduces the number of wash loads, reducing the amount of resources used (water and power for instance), but also the amount of laundry detergent added to our natural water resources! Please reach out to us if you need more towels.
- We try to use natural laundry detergent as often as possible. We also get very excited when we get our hands on the scentless kind, since it does not disrupt our endocrine system!
- We use waterproof mattress protectors on our beds to keep them protected and fresh for you!
- Our toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body-wash) are 100% vegan, paraben-free, sulphate-free, phosphate-free, SLS-free, and cruelty-free (yes, we think of our furry friends too)!
- We use reclaimed wood whenever possible. Repurposing trees that have fallen naturally, for instance, or partnering with companies that have a replanting initiative, excites us.

The Bella Manor Carriage Suite offers a spacious bedroom with a beautiful carved wooden king size bed, private bathroom with stand alone shower. Located just over 2 miles from the center of downtown Fredericksburg, my home offers the convenience of being just a few minutes from all of the attractions of downtown while also being able to enjoy a quiet and relaxing space that gives the impression of being in the country. Our guests particularly enjoy the outdoor space where with plentiful seating and a chiminea for those chillier evenings.

The space
This quaint one room cottage is located two and one-half mile from Main Street, just a short drive into the country. The Pot-Belly Stove Cottage, with its country décor, is a comfortable one-story private guesthouse surrounded by oak trees and with vistas of the wooden ranch land across the road. This freshly remodeled cottage is the perfect cozy retreat replete with wood like tile floors, queen-bed, cushy love-seat sofa, antiques and a small potbelly stove.

The queen-bed is topped with a duvet cover and fluffy pillows. Cuddle up on the sofa and enjoy the coziness from the stove while watching television or enjoying some soft music. Antiques, country décor and keepsakes are found throughout the cabin. The coffeebar is completed with microwave, small refrigerator, coffeemaker and snacks.

The Pot-Belly Stove Cottage is ideal for any couple. You will enjoy the cottage's private entry and stone-laid patio shaded by oaks. Relax on the tree hung swing by the small pond and watch the deer come to feed. Enjoy Fredericksburg's extraordinary sunsets and stroll along the country roads and relax under the peaceful star filled nights.

You will find the Pot-Belly Stove Cottage your home away from home, surrounded by peace and quiet, the perfect place to get away from it all.
