Located within walking distance of Estes Cove, sunny fun awaits on the shores, at the shops and the eateries that surround it. The South Texas coast area is beautifully embellished with art-like windswept Texas Live oak trees where often Great Blue Herons can be found nesting. On this property, the cedar post fencing, along with reclaimed corrugated tin, and salvaged oil field pipe, represents the area.

The interior cabin construction was distinctly built using reclaimed materials, as well as the outside patio and parking areas. Outdoor seating and a picnic area are available for a memorable night of conversing by the campfire as the stars come out. The 400 square-foot cabins each boast comfortable beds, soft linens, and a kitchen with a full-size refrigerator, stovetop oven range, microwave, and coffee maker. A floating island breakfast bar is a convenient place to relax and share a meal together. Indulge in a favorite movie on the TV provided.

622 South Live Oak Street is an open-plan cabin with one bathroom in the charming "Heritage District" neighborhood just minutes walking distance from quaint old downtown Rockport with art galleries, places to eat, the Navigation Marina district, nearby city fishing pier that is lit at night, & private city beach 5 minutes drive.
Simple but clean authentic 50s weekend cabin with a structure that has been restored and updated, but undergoing repairs, and in need of repairs and painting still. Cottage is small and compact without individual bedrooms, but has a really excellent setup for a family getaway, girls getaway. or a fishing group. Excellent location, a large private yard, and ample parking.
Cabin has full facilities for an affordable short-term getaway.
It is set up for a family or extended family, or close knit group, and we are pet friendly. No bedroom privacy. All open like a hotel style room.
A one time cleaning fee and 15% hotel tax is added to each booking.
The main living space arranged in an open Hotel-suite layout has a twin bed in the front sun room; a Graco Pack N Play baby bed that can be set up on request; one full bed in the main living room; twin size bunk bed in the back space; and two additional twin fold up beds that are can be unfolded in the back room and main room.
The front sun room is excellent for baby naps and for mom if necessary. (Bring own baby sheets and blankets at this time.)
Fishing pier is right on market street and a straight two minutes brisk walk to the waterfront.
The cottage front entrance opens to the small front sun room with rustic seating on one side and bed on other that is separated from the rest of the house by a glass paneled door for some privacy. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a plush comfy Condo. It is a bare bones cabin.
The front patio & car port is presently under renovation due to wind damage.
In backyard there is a stainless steel gas barbecue, & barrel wood or charcoal barbecue adjacent to the backyard wooden deck. The backyard deck has 3 lawn chairs to relax outside.
We love to sit outside and see the green tailed fire flies that are surprisingly ugly up close but create a magical moving lights display when in season with a lime green luminescence.
Rockport offers a peace with a real relaxing silence at night.

In the main suite is the kitchenette, dining nook, entertainment center, and a loveseat sofa that is super comfy.
The main room opens up through two square arches to the high ceiling back room with sleeping on the right side and the laundry area on the left side. The sheetrock ceiling screws are showing. It is a cabin getaway.
The high ceiling bathroom is off the main room and consists of a curved glass shower, modern one piece toilet, and a pedestal basin. The shower head combination with various flow options includes a hand shower. Left is hot and right is cold. We provide soap, shampoo, and conditioner.
There is basic TV with 17 local intermittant antenna channels, WiFi Internet, Netflix, Hulu. and Tubi and various other streaming services - such as PBS Kids, movie channels, and a variety of News Services. The entertainment center has a DVD and DVD library with some classical and iconic modern movies.

The cabinet doubles as our supplies storage center and has two large lower draws available for our quests' clothes and belongings.

Updated traditional "batch" type beach cottage. All electric with AC and heat window unit, and additional smaller unit in front room with remote.
Flat-top range, overhead microwave, and refrigerator in modernized simple but functional kitchenette. Stackable washing machine and drier combination in laundry area. Laundry soap is provided and the washer/dryer combo is easy to use.
Heritage District batches are fast disappearing. Its quaint but cute, its old but clean, and rebuilt pirate tough and strong.
Some cracks here and there still remain but ongoing improvements make the cabin better and better each year. Its now proven Hurricane Harvey tough.
We love providing this rustic inexpensive getaway experience for our guests. Some hate it. So if you can afford a Condo, please don't book and be dissapointed.
There is just a 2 minute walk to the City fishing pier that is lit at night, and 3-5 minute drive to the free dog beach before the entrance to the City beach. Its best to buy a yearly pass car sticker to the city beach. The city beach has an excellent salt water pond for toddlers on the far left.
There are nice nearby restaurants within walking distance, and with a short drive there is an HEB, Walmart, Walgreens, several fast food options, and an ACE hardware. Follow the water front through old town.
Mac's barbeque is on the corner. The Country Man's Country Club is a sports bar. Your restaurant suggestions and updates are very welcome. After you make your reservation, we text instructions and house rules with further information about Pirate Cove Cottage and what we provide.
Bring your boat for fishing, or canoe, or bikes for relaxing rides or walks along the waterfront on Water Street just 2 blocks away. Rent a kayak or golf cart. Long graveled driveway that easily accommodates a boat and truck or several vehicles.

Small on Price, Big on Comfort. No need to sacrifice an amazing stay in Rockport--we are easy on your budget but big on delivering a great experience. You will love the beachy décor in this 2 bedroom, 1 bath coastal jewel. Our kitchen is fully equipped and all linens are provided.
Just steps away, you will find our relaxing beach-entry pool area, with bathroom on site.
We are a short 5- Min. drive to Fulton/8-10 to RKPT Beach

The space
Bedding and towels provided. We offer a fully stocked kitchen with everything you will need to cook meals and bake. Plenty of dishware--All the comforts of home including TV's in each room! The BBQ grill is available and BBQ tools and foil also onsite. Room to park up to a 21' boat/ trailer in front of/ beside cottage.

The cottage is nestled between mature oak trees with great shade in the evening. In the morning, the sun glimmers from the direction of the bay, over the pool and into the cottage--such a great way to wake up and greet the day. The covered porch looks out to the pool.

The kitchen and living area are open. The space feels perfectly put together. The dining table is on casters so it can easily be pulled away from the wall for family to dine. The kitchen has everything you need including a dual Keurig for making a cup or a whole pot of coffee. The fridge is full size and we have pretty much anything you might need for preparing meals at home. The living room has 2 sofa's--one makes into a bed.

Each bedroom has a ceiling fan and blinds and curtains which keeps the room cool and dark enough for good sleeping. Bed side tables are in each room along with closet space for storing your items. The master room has the king size bed with a 40" tv.

The bathroom is a classic Jack and Jill with locking doors from each end. The toilet and shower are separate from the vanity area so more than one person can get ready.

*Consumable products left in cottage are enough to get your trip started, but guest is responsible for replenishing after consumables are used up. Example: Toilet Paper, paper towels, coffee pods, trash bags*

Our guest have the entire cottage available. There is a community pool almost directly across from our place. We have a full length front porch with comfortable chairs and 2 tables for dining outside. BBQ is available .
*PLEASE NOTE: There is one assigned parking place for the cottage. Other vehicles will also be parked in front of the cottage especially during the busy season of the year.

Other things to note
We supply a handful of coffee pods and a container of ground coffee along with filters; also provided—a few cooking essentials like seasonings, oil, spray, sugar, and SweetnLow.
Washer and dryer available but we do not supply detergent.
