This lovely stone cottage is built in the valley between Boggy Creek and the Walnut Creek bike/walk trail. The creek meets the Colorado River merely 500 feet down on Boggy Creek.

The property is just under an acre. There is a fire pit and hammock, and trails down to the creek with access to fishing and wildlife viewing (including turtles, armadillos, and abundant large-mouth bass).

The house is three/four rooms: living room, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom—all rather large. It truly is an oasis in the city.

There is a feather-top, queen bed in the bedroom that will make you feel like you’re sleeping on a cloud. The second bed is a quality, comfortable, memory foam sleeper sofa, that folds out flat and provides great support.

This home comes with all the amenities you’ll need to feel right at home: from cooking implements to cozy sitting and eating spaces, and necessities like tea, coffee, InstantPot, Ninja blender, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, washer/dryer with environmentally friendly detergent, ironing board, and extra pillows. There is abundant parking, merely steps away from the front door; and also a charging port for electric vehicles.

While the amenities abound, there is no TV or microwave, which I feel enhances the old-world charm. That said, there is Starlink wifi, and boosted cellphone service, so it's not completely old-world ;)

And the views!! Every room has breathtaking views—as you gaze out on old shade trees, even a rare American Elm; and the neighboring farm is a site to see (farmers and volunteers are there from about 7:30-3:00, M-Sat). You won’t have any neighbors after that, just you and nature.

This house feels like it’s in the country, even though it’s actually in the city—which means you get the best of both worlds—nature, quiet, and quick access to bustling city life. You’ll also hear city sounds of planes and the occasional train, but I don’t believe the sounds are bothersome. There are also some country bugs: caterpillars, pollinators, etc; they’ll occasionally follow you into the house—I usually catch and release them, but it’s up to you what you do with the occasional 6-legged friend.

It really is a beautiful place and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Oh, and there are fig, plum, and persimmon trees on the property—feel free to pick and enjoy!!

Welcome to the historic Homestead at the Dripping Springs. This house is one of three available lodgings each of the three dwellings are unique to their time period, style and setting. Clara's House and Butler Cabin are all part of the Homestead at the Dripping Springs and can be reserved at the same time to sleep a total of 8 people.
They are centrally located in the Historic Mercer Street District of Dripping Springs, close to shops, wedding venues, wine trails, parks and beautiful country roads.

The newest addition to the Homestead is Willie Mae's Cottage. It is a rock and board/batten cottage with a tiled walk-in shower, large bathroom, kitchenette and breakfast nook that looks out on the large oak tree and swing. The stone used to complete the cottage was furnished from the original smokehouse on the historic property. This romantic cottage is furnished with period antiques and re-purposed wood from the community. Large side porch with rockers that overlook historic corral and ancient oak tree.

The first floor is an open plan living room/kitchen, while upstairs you will find a comfortable bedroom with a queen bed, and a full bathroom. There is a futon downstairs, which can accommodate two people. We also can provide up to two extra single beds by special request. We supply all bed linens and towels. We will do housekeeping and laundry before and after your stay, but a washer and dryer are available for your use.

Rates are based on occupancy by 2 guests. Additional fee of $10 per night per additional guest. Cleaning fee of $70 applies to all stays. Please note that 6% state hotel tax will be added for all stays of less than 30 days.

- "I can’t say enough good about our experience with the lovely Sage Cottage. The Live Oak trees keep the sweet little cottage cool even in the Texas summer, and though you’re minutes away from busier Austin life, you really feel like you’re in the country. Deer are always nearby, poking around the yucca and other native plants on the property. We spent many mornings on the front porch listening to the birds, and many afternoons swimming in the glorious pool. The house itself is utterly charming. Great kitchen, lots of provisions — even bacon and eggs when you arrive!! I’ve never seen a vrbo with excellent books in the library, and there were several favorites in the collection along with a few I had been meaning to read. Upstairs is charming with hidden alcoves and antique wingback chairs. Super comfy bed! Excellent ac. Great washer dryer. Plenty of hot water and I’m pretty sure the entire place runs on solar. We stayed at the vrbo during a stressful renovation of our Austin home. We had a break in at our home during the reno, with thieves turning our garage completely upside down. John and Aedin were incredibly supportive during our resolution of this matter, going above and beyond in a million ways. They made sure we had a home away from home when ours was in chaos from both the renovation and burglary. They’re just good people, and we feel incredibly fortunate we found peace at their gorgeous property during a really stressful time. Top notch!!"

This spring box is located in a beautiful grotto located at the back of our property. You can see into the grotto from the yard!

The Cowhouse has a heartwarming backstory: Built in 2008 by the owners, Andi and Jerry, it originally served as their weekend home. Back then, there was no fence to keep out the livestock, and the curious cows would often approach the house. Their grandson affectionately dubbed it the Cowhouse, as he and his sister loved watching the cows up close. The name stuck, capturing the essence of this rustic retreat.

Barkspin Oaks Ranch, part of a larger ranch settled by Andi’s grandparents nearly 100 years ago, remains rugged and teems with wildlife. Deer, rabbits, and a family of foxes call it home. Bird feeders attract a variety of avian visitors, and occasionally, a pair of hawks graces the skies. It’s a place where nature and tranquility converge, inviting guests to unwind and connect with the land.

The Cowhouse is over 200 feet away from the owners' home and both are on top of a hill inside a 4-acre fenced area. The main house is located where it does not impact the great views seen from the Cowhouse. Outdoor living areas for both homes are separated by trees and there is enough space between them to ensure privacy. The owners and guests will share the private road to the public road but the Cowhouse has a separate parking area. The Cowhouse is 0.3 miles from the public road.

Guests will be allowed to walk around the mowed areas of the fenced 4 acres at their own risk. Guests are not allowed outside of this fenced area except when entering or exiting in their vehicle.

Private Pool Time

Each day, both Cottage and Loft guests can reserve a two-hour private time slot to enjoy the pool. Outside of reserved times, you’re welcome to use the pool if it’s available. If the next time slot hasn’t been claimed, feel free to extend your swim or enjoy the space earlier if open.

Pool Hours: 9 AM – 8 PM shared use. After 8 PM, the pool and spa are exclusively yours as Cottage guests.

Spa Heating: Always included with your stay — no extra fees.

Pool Heating: Available upon request at $125 per night multiplied by the number of nights booked. (Example: two-night stay = $250 total.)

This cabin is so comfy, with a King bed and vintage lodge feel. There's a seating area (with streaming TV) which includes a sofa -- if needed for additional guests, it pulls out into a Queen sofa bed, linens included...and it's comfy, too!
Fantastic location, down the street from Camp Lucy, minutes to Downtown Drip and EASY access to all the venues, festivals, breweries, distilleries and wineries in the area. This cottage has rustic charm but with all the comforts you'll love! Wonderful king-sized bed, a beautiful stone shower and separate dressing area. A roomy dresser, and plenty of hanging space for your belongings. In the morning, a Keurig coffee bar is stocked with all the goods you need to get you going! Enjoy that coffee on your own front porch, which has a nice little bistro table, just waiting for you. At the Coffee Bar, there's also a mini-fridge and microwave! Plus, a great little living area with streaming TV, chair, and a sofa that pulls out into an incredibly comfortable queen bed. What else? An electric fireplace! This is one COZY cabin.
And outside? A Fire Table and more places to relax. Feel free to roam this beautiful acreage or take a walk on beautiful Creek Road. It's lovely here.

Peaceful 2 bed/2 bath cottage on San Gabriel River 3 miles from Georgetown Square. The property is a duplex-style cottage located on 6.5 acres with owners living in a separate house on site. Please call for directions and gate code. GPS does not get you to the end of the private road.

There is access to the river via a short walk on the property. There are picnic tables and a fire-pit, with wood provided. Please bring your own s'mores or hot dogs for roasting. You can easily walk out into the water. It is good for perch, catfish, carp, and bass fishing. We can provide paddle boards and kayaks for use when water levels are ideal. Just ask us.

The unit is brand new and beautiful, the owners thought of everything and were very responsive and friendly if we had questions. The beds were amazing and we all slept great. It is beautifully decorated and is perfect for couples, small families, or a fun girls trip. They even have fire pits and picnic tables by the river…so fun! We can’t wait to go back."

This wonderful retreat features spacious well furnished rooms. 2 bedroom - one with a king bed and the other with a queen bed. With modern amenities guests can unwind in the beautiful surroundings. Kickback, relax, and enjoy everything the retirement community of SUN CITY, Texas and our beautifully furnished home has to offer.

- "The property is located in a very convenient neighborhood in Sun City. It has easy access to many of the amenities offered. The house is decorated with very old but OK furniture. The master bed is comfortable. The kitchen appliances, although old, work well. The new TV in the living room is confusing and limited but works well.The major issue we had with the property was cleanliness. Dishes in the cupboards were dirty as were the cupboards themselves. We had to wash many of them before use. The other main issue was the lack of initial products to use upon arrival. There was 1/4 roll of toilet paper, no paper towels, no shower products, We had to make a grocery store run late in the evening of arrival. We left many of our unused products when we checked out so the next renter will not face what we did.Other issues we faced was the front door that has to be closed in a special way to use the entry code. We had to clean the bathroom drain faucets to get them to work properly. Towels were very old and thin and in some cases ripped. We bought and left plastic hangers for the master closet as the metal ones in place were inadequate. We think the property is worth considering however the owners to attend to the inadequacies. "

The CHARLIE suite is so romantic. With a gorgeous King bed, it has such a serene view toward the back acreage through big windows. You'll see the beautiful deer at dusk and dawn... There's cozy seating by those windows, a sweet electric fireplace, and all the comforts of home, with an ensuite bathroom (with shower), a vanity outside the bath, a fully-stocked Coffee Bar, mini-fridge and microwave. Fresh linens, towels, hairdryer, iron & board. And up one set of steps if the lovely common Top Deck, with comfy outdoor seating, bistro lights and 360 views! Feel free to roam the property (there are 40 acres here!) or take a walk down beautiful Creek Road. Stargazing, birdwatching -- You'll love it here!

We have a moderate cancellation policy. It may vary a bit between platforms, but usually 5 days prior to arrival guests may receive a full refund. If a guests wants to make changes within the five days arrival or after arrival, we cannot provide a refund.

Are pets allowed?
We love dogs and love to host but they do cause more complications for our cleaning crew. We have a limit of 2 dogs with a 100.00 pet fee. Please let us know if you are bringing your pup. If guests arrive with a pet without making prior arrangements, the fee is 250.00. Because of allergies, we cannot host cats.

Are there extra pillows?
We provided two pillows per person. For instance, a queen bed will have four sleeping pillows. We leave plenty of extra blankets as well.

Are extra guests allowed?
If you have a few (2-3) friends pop over, this is not an issues. If you have extra guests sleeping over or more than three guests for an event, please ask and we can asses:)

Is smoking allowed outside?
Yes, you are welcome to smoke outside the space. Please pick up cigarette butts. Smoking inside the home would result in a 250.00 fee for cleaning and possible blocking nights for other guests.

Could we leave our luggage?
We are able to store luggage in the space for two hours before or after check in. Let us know so our cleaners are not surprised. Our house down the street with a safe carpart - also a safe option for leaving bags for a longer time period. Just let us know. There is also a service (usebounce) that is an option for storing bags.

Could I have an early check-in or late checkout?
Early and late check outs cause a logistic issue for our cleaners, so we have a charge. 25.00/hour (up to two hours).

What is a MUST do in Austin?
We love Barton Springs (especially in warmer months). South Congress has so much in a close proximity. Park close to Jo’s Coffee and stroll from there (shopping, cafes, music!). Vera Cruz tacos are really the best Austin has! Our Capital is gorgeous and very worth a drive by!

We LOVE De Nada (walking distance) and Flitch Coffee. Even though there is so much in waling distance, these are our two MUSTS!

Our neighbors have kiddos, so we like to be quiet after 10pm.

Our 1930s guesthouse was remodeled extensively to meet modern life style. No off-gassing from new building materials, no germy carpets, Safe and Eco-Friendly. The guest house is located in the heart of Austin Texas.
We are a professional couple living in a separate structure on the same property, so we are here to help you to get situated and enjoy what Austin has to offer.
We maintain the house with the Green Cleaning in mind. It is healthier to our guests and good for the environment. You don't want to inhale the heavy cleaning chemical smell. The property is surrounded by 100+ year-old Pecan Trees, and dozens of fruit trees. We also have an organic vegetable garden, so you might see us in the yard weeding or harvesting some vegetables. You will see trees from all 4-side windows; hence, we named our guesthouse The Pecan Tree House. The Pecan Tree House ATX is on the second level of the storage space below, no adjoining living spaces.
Either you are on a business trip to downtown Austin, UT football game, or attending so-many-popular festivals, we are in a great residential neighborhood near downtown, it is very convenient to access many parts of Austin, and parking is free and abundant on our driveway or on a dead-end street.
Walking distance to UT campus and popular coffee shops and restaurants. If you are inclined to cook a gourmet meal, you have a full kitchen with all cookware. One of the largest grocery stores (HEB) is only a half mile away. If you want to sweat off a few Austin BBQ, the awesome Hancock Golf Course and the Greenbelt is just around the corner from the property.
The kitchen includes coffee maker, four-burner gas cooktop/oven, refrigerator, toaster, microwave oven and dishwasher, enjoy appliances like Vitamix, Dyson and Cuisinart.
The bedroom area includes a couple of built-in closet storage areas with plenty of hanging space, drawers. The bed is a Queen size, Sealy adjustable bed; you have to try the zero-gravity relaxation on this bed. We offer I-can’t-live-without-it USB charging stations at all tables and desks.
The office area includes desk/chair and stacked clothes washer/dryer in a closet for your longer stay. So travel light and enjoy Austin more.
The bathroom is inside of the bedroom suite, it offers spa-like shower experience, a bidet seat when you have to go and a hair-dryer so you don’t have to pack the bulky hair dryer.
The living room offers windows on all 3-sides, total of 6 windows with great treetop view, the comfortable sofa can be converted into a queen size bed, accommodating up to 4 guests at this house.
The bedroom and the living room both have HD TVs and Bose and LG sound systems which provides cable channels and movies from Netflix for your downtime on a lazy day.

Guest access
The Pecan Tree House ATX is located behind our house, and you will have the access to parking in the driveway just under The Pecan Tree House or easy parking on the street. We offer a free Level-2 Electric Vehicle Charging Station if you drive an Electric Vehicle. You will get your private access code for the entry door, so no worries if your flight gets delayed. No hassle for the check-in or check-out process, unless you want to say hi to us.

Other things to note
The Pecan Tree House ATX is an independent single dwelling unit, so you will have all amenities you would expect from your home. It is very easy to access Austin downtown for business and fun. A very convenient bus route runs nearby our house. Only 2 miles from the Texas Capitol for cheap Uber/Lift ride if you are having too much fun in downtown Austin. There is a historic golf course around the corner from the house it's popular for strollers, joggers and of course golfers.
If you are interested in a long-term stay, inquire about it even if it seems like all your dates aren't available.

Lots of hiking opportunities available in the surrounding Bastrop area as well as Austin. After you have played all day or night in Austin, our cozy place is great for relaxation and rest. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening drinks on the very private back porch.

Our Austin Escape is located on our 5 acres of property in Lost Pines aka Cedar Creek. The property is gated and fenced. It is the smaller of two houses on the land, set back behind the main house. It has a wonderful view of the woods.

Pets:
Please clean up after your pet. Please lift rugs off the floor if you're concerned about your pets soiling or damaging the rugs. If there is a significant amount of dog hair, please use the broom and dustpan to remove it. Please do not allow your pets on the furniture. The pet hair and dander is very difficult to remove. There is a $25 per pet, charge added to host your pets. This helps cover the additional cost of hosting pets.
COVID-19:
The house is well cleaned and disinfected after each use. There is sanitizer available for your use. We ask that you follow the CDC recommended guidelines for social distancing, wash your hands frequently and wear a mask while out among others during your visit. We want to minimize the exposure of the Covid 19 virus to yourself and those who will be staying in the cottage after you, as well as our housekeeping crew.

My wife and I are happy to hang out and provide advice on the best places to explore in Austin. However, if you want privacy you will never have to see us. There is a keypad on the front door, so you will have easy access with a key code and the entire transaction can occur through AirBNB.
