The first one was the lack of a second bed/bedroom. I know in the description it states it’s a single bedroom but in the pictures they put images of what looks like two separate beds/bedrooms. When I arrived to only one bed I was a little surprised. The second issue was a control on the AC temperature. We were told the lowest temperature we could put the AC at was 75 degrees. This was an issue because it happened to be really hot and humid when we stayed and even though we had the AC on we still found ourselves hot and sweaty, especially when sleeping. Another thing that could be a concern was the holes in the corners of the wall that led straight to the outside. On the positive side, they had provided us with the necessary items to wash our clothes, cook, do the dishes, iron our clothes, towels, hair dryer and a tv. I also appreciated the easy access to the downtown San Antonio area. It was easy to request an Uber or even get Uber eats. "

My wife booked it but did not see the deposit on top of the money we already paid for the booking in advance. She made a mistake because we were all tired. It was cold and rainy that check in and we found out that we could not enter the house. We were refused because of the deposit. We needed 4 days until our house was ready for us. The property was managed by an international call center. They simply said you loose all your money. We had no more money and we were forced to live at Haven for Hope a homeles shelter with all my kids and grandkids. On top of me being disabled. I am in a wheelchair with only one leg. They had no compassion or refuesd my family with only one option... Loose all your money and good luck. For having moving my family here the first 4 days was a forced homeless shelter filled with drugs right I front of my grandchildren. Hotels.com also said sorry good luck. We are now I to our brand new built house. Hese policies need to be flexible with each stayon their return policy. I will post this everywhere until hotels.com starts being more empathetic to each person situation. "

I let the host know right away and sent a photo as requested, even a video, but unfortunately never received any further follow-up. Thankfully, we were only there for one night. It was an unexpected loss and we were having his funeral services and burial Friday and Saturday. Of course we tried and tried but nothing. Expedia was willing to help us out but the owner was not having it at all. They said there was nothing they could do at all. We didn’t want to cancel we just wanted to reschedule to not lose all the money. This was something we were not expecting at all so we were stuck paying it along with the additional funeral services. There is only one towel per person, no wash clothes and only one hand towel. The dryer doesn't dry your clothes. I dried one load 4 times and it still didn't dry. - "The property aesthetically is nice, but we’re unable to use the master bathroom shower because the handle fell off and I would not stay on if trying to turn the shower on and the second shower would not turn all the way to the hot and we could not get hot water for a shower. Luckily we were only staying there for two nights, and there was only five of us if the house was full with 10 people like it accommodates it would’ve been very difficult for everybody to shower. other than that everything else was great. The house was very clean. The beds are comfortable and clean. They provided tea. and coffee, but the shower thing was kind of not the best situation also I don’t know if it’s because of the shower handles or what but the showers also had no water pressure so that was kind of difficult"

- "First off the disclosures were not shared until after the booking through hotels.com where we found we have to pay for additional people over 6 even though the house sleeps 14. We tried to cancel but the “owner” doesn’t issue refunds since we booked it and we were traveling within 4 days so no refunds. The is very misleading and felt very bait and switch to me. The mattresses are thin and the bed frames are cheap. So if you roll over on the bed the beds shakes/squeaks, whether it’s the bunk or a Queen it’s all the same. The washer was broken, but if we wanted to leave we could do laundry at a laundromat for free (per the note on washer we did not try). The area the house is in, is questionable, and I would not stay in this area normally. The pro’s the house was clean, painted, and recently remodeled and a quick drive to the riverwalk, but you then have to pay for parking, I recommend just staying on the riverwalk, you will get better service, up front cost regardless of the number of people you have staying there and you don’t have to drive after a long day being in the heat. There is only 1 parking spot so if you have more than 1 car you will need to stay on the street. "

- "There are a few things you should know before you book. This property is nice. We had a good stay, but immediately upon arrival you will realize that there are many rules to abide by or you will lose your deposit. It became a running joke between all of us during our stay. We were actually very careful to try to do everything correctly so that we would not lose the deposit. We took very good care of the home. The day after checkout i recieved an email explaining that we had broken the rules and stained two wash clothes. They stated that after washing and bleaching the stains would not come out. Okay, i understand, how much could two wash rags cost? They deducted $53 from the deposit for two wash rags. Believe me, the house has decent towels but not this level of quality. We stayed 3 nights. I was shocked to be charged $53 for two wash clothes, it seems excessive. Be warned, if you accidentally spill something and use the towels to clean it up, it may cost you more to clean up you spill then it cost to stay the night. I have attached the photos they sent me to back their claim. I would have not given a second thought to $10. All towels, sheets, and linens are white, so be careful."

Let me tell you, I was 3 miles from the base. The whole house was ours !! We got to spend quality time with one another and the price was great plenty of space !! The back yard was hugeee! Owner will either meet upon arrival to let you in the gates. Then you'll be provided a key and a gate opener. OR owner will advise of self-check-in.

Guest access
Guests are free to walk all over our property, except at owner's residence and inside fenced backyard. Again, use caution as land is rugged, hilly with and loose gravel/rocks/etc. If you like to walk or run, you may also do so on Mountain Spring Drive. It's approximately 3 miles round trip, and a beautiful, quiet walk/run. As always in the country, you might encounter stickers, chiggers, spiders, scorpions, fire-ants, snakes, bunnies, deer, opossums, armadillos, racoons, etc. Parking is in front of the garage. The guesthouse is to the left, attached to the garage. We're on well water. Great for showering and cooking. Bring your own food and drinking water.

For some reason, the google map sometimes sends people to Spanish Pass. That’s incorrect. We’re off Sisterdale Road and Walnut Grove.
