The Mesquite Retreat is a 1917 Craftsman Style home that has been thoughtfully remodeled from the ground up to accommodate you and your guests with all the modern amenities guest expect to find.
We have fully renovated the home from the ground up to make it an open floor plan while keeping each bedroom space separate from one another.
The floors are the original flooring installed in 1917. We were lucky the previous owners installed thick carpet to keep them in the best condition considering the age.
The master bedroom features a large walk in closet with an private master bathroom retreat designed to make you feel like you're visiting a spa.
The full size bedroom behind the kitchen is next to a shared bathroom with a single vanity and large walk in shower.
The double bunk bedroom (which used to be the kitchen) is perfect for friends who want to share a room or 4 children. Couples could bunk up, but that is up to you and your guests!
Enjoy your favorite cable television shows or stream straight from the smart TV while cooking or eating your favorite meals with the open living, dining and kitchen space.
The back yard has ample space to enjoy your favorite game of corn hole or just sit and chill while enjoying the views of the Tower of Americas under ambient lighting.

The convention center is a ten-minute walk. Several restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, and a market are easy to walk.

- "We had such a wonderful stay here! The neighborhood is beautiful and full of historical homes with fascinating stories. It's a short walk to great local restaurants, Brown Coffee absolutely won my heart and I wish there was one closer to me. The overall space was very comfortable, clean, and spacious. The property managers (Matt and Dave) were very considerate and polite and were more than happy to answer any questions that arose. We had such an amazing experience and I hope we get to come back and visit again in the future. Keep in mind that this is an old house, with that age comes some character. This is not a silent, noise-free property. There are some groans and creaks that come with staying in an old home, if you're a light sleeper this may impact your stay. The check-in and check-out times are 3:00p and 10:00a respectively despite the listing communicating slightly different times. There is a coffee press, electric kettle, microwave, and mini fridge in the unit. These are things that didn't impact our stay but I feel are important to mention in the event that they may impact yours."

Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally-located place. Incoming families attending Graduation on Lackland AFB it’s just 19 min. from this location, great to bring your graduate too relax and enjoy the family and surrounding area. Your family will enjoy being just minutes away from Downtown San Antonio, the River Center Mall, Fiesta Texas and the San Antonio Zoo. The Alamo is only about 2.2 miles away. There are two bedrooms, one is larger than the other. Both have a comfortable queen size bed for a restful sleep. There is a small restroom with a small walk in shower. Shower head has 3 settings available.

This is a tiny cozy location! There are two beds located on the property. And nice little sitting areas throughout the house. This is part of a duplex so the chance of having guests in the front house are big. However we’ve taken steps to minimize the noise between the two properties. You should have everything you need to come and enjoy a nice stay in San Antonio!
There is a large back yard with a covered and netted pergola to keep the bugs out so you can enjoy your time outside.

The space
We are four blocks south of the Alamodome, and the Henry B Gonzalez centers within a mile. The Alamo, San Antonio missions the Riverwalk and river center mall are all within a short distance of this home. This house has such a rustic and unique feel to it. It’s nothing like you would expect! There are two beds in the property one is in a regular bedroom one has been given more privacy. There is a small sitting area with a TV kitchen and restroom. ALSO!!! All of the floors are stained concrete. So it may be colder or harder than most guests may be accustomed to. They don’t bother me a bit however, just be aware when you book the property :-)

You will have access to the entire back home. The backyard has a netted pergola and seating so you can enjoy your time outside. If there are not guests that are booked in the front house you can park in the driveway, otherwise you will have access to street parking for free.

Other things to note
There are train tracks right by the property. We’ve taken active steps to minimize the noise, and you will still hear the trains. I leave earplugs at the property if you would like to use them. This home currently is equipped with window units for the air conditioning and heaters. It’s incredibly comfortable, cozy and very unique! As I stated in another part this is part of a duplex. So the odds of you having guests in the front house are good. However besides walking past the front house you should not see or hear them. It’s a very private space. The neighbor to the right of the house has dogs. They like to bark as you walk by however, they are the sweetest! They’re not always there as sometimes they’re in Mexico with the neighbors. Talk sweetly to them and you will be their best friends

Buela's Studio is a cozy retreat on the lower level of a 2-story unit. It offers a private entrance, full bathroom, walk-in closet, and a kitchenette with a cooktop, microwave, fridge, sink, and dishwasher. Located just 10 minutes from La Cantera and North Star Mall, 15 minutes from The Rim, and 20 minutes from downtown. Washer and dryer are available on-site. The guest house is located at the back of the main house, accessible via the alley. You can park in one side of our driveway, located behind the main house, and access the guest house from there.

We provide one dedicated parking spot per reservation within a shared 18' wide x 23' long parking area that accommodates up to two vehicles in total.

If you need additional parking, please contact us before booking to confirm availability and make sure the space and location work for you.

Once we confirm your reservation, we will send you a unique access code, generated on the morning of your arrival, to access the entry door on the right, beside the guest house windows that opens the door for the lower level Studio only. There is one dedicated free parking space on the left side of the driveway—please leave room for another vehicle on the right. You are welcome to use the lower level studio accessible with the provided code and one designated parking space on the left.

The space
The Summit is located in the heart of Beacon Hill, a funky neighborhood lined with vintage and antique shops as well as cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Additionally, you are in close proximity to the citys main attractions, including a 7- 10minute drive to the Riverwalk, Alamo, Henry Gonzalez Convention Center, Pearl, Fort Sam Houston, Japanese Tea Garden, San Fernando Cathedral, Alamo Dome, Frost Bank Center, Tower of the Americas, Medical Center, Historic Market Square, and the Missions, Main St bars and pubs (LGBTQAI+).

The casita, built from the ground up in 2024, includes a private entrance with gated ensuite patio. Inside, you’ll enjoy the 650 square-foot one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen, washer dryer, stove top with oven, dish washer, living room, bathroom, workspace and closet. There is a brand new HVAC Unit which will ensure you stay cool in the summer heat and warm in the winter. In the bedroom, you will find a new King Size bed and in the living room, you will find a Sleeper Sofa and Rollaway. All linens, towels, shampoo as well as body wash, and coffee is included in your stay.

Where you’ll be
The Beacon Hill Neighborhood is historic and quaint. Though we are considered part of the inner-loop, or center, of San Antonio, the tree-lined streets and craftsman style houses makes you feel right at home. We have a community garden, a neighborhood linear park, and a large number of public art installations. We have arguably the highest concentration of bungalows in the city, as well as cottages, four-square, Italianate, and Spanish colonial revival homes, according to the Beacon Hill Association. Getting Around:

Driving isn’t the only way to get around San Antonio. There are sustainable, affordable and accessible options as well. The San Antonio public bus system is known as the VIA Metropolitan Transit. It runs seven days a week and has more than 90 routes. The city also offers bikes and scooters for those looking for alternative transportation options. San Antonio isn’t the most walkable city in Texas; however, there are quite a few neighborhoods you can explore on foot, including the popular Beacon Hill, Pearl District, Southtown and the Downtown area. The River Walk will be most helpful in getting around, a 15-mile-long path system that connects several neighborhoods – Downtown and the Pearl District, for example – with attractions like the San Antonio Museum of Art.

This large and luxurious suite is located on the first floor of the Oge House, a historic mansion located in Downtown San Antonio's King William Historic District and right on the Riverwalk. The bathroom is done in polished granite with a large double whirlpool tub and separate shower. It has its own private entrance, so there is no need to enter any shared space to enter and exit the room. Guests also have access to our pool and heated spa directly across the street at our Carriage House.

The space
The suite has a spacious bedroom with a comfortable king bed and a fireplace. There is a separate sitting room that has a daybed that can be used as a sofa or is also a comfortable twin bed to sleep a 3rd person. There are 2 TV's with cable and DVD player (in bedroom and sitting room). The bathroom is done in polished granite with a large double whirlpool tub and a separate shower. Heat and AC have your own controls.
This suite is on the first floor of the house. If the upper floors are rented to a group, first floor rooms will not have access to the upper floors.

Guest access
There is a private entrance to this room from the veranda which then leads directly to the parking area. Unless the upper floors have been exclusively booked to other guests, the guests may use the living room as well as other porches on front and back of house. They may also access all of the 1.5 acres of gardens and grounds around the house.
