The space
This is a compact cabin. It is a small casita (tiny house) that features 2 bedrooms (4 total beds), 1 bathroom, a kitchenette and comes with all the basics you need while you are on travel - a stove, refrigerator, microwave, washer/dryer, TV (with local channels), WiFi, Roku, and AC. There is a designated parking space, a dog area for guests traveling with pets, and a small BBQ/picnic table setup outside for guests to enjoy. No bells & whistles - this is a tiny cabin house that packs a punch by offering you a comfy place to sleep, with the essentials you need, at a price you can afford. La casita is a 5 minute drive to a gas/shopping center, and eating options. It is a 15-20 minute drive to the airport and university area. Easy access to two major highways. The casita is also about a 25-30 minute drive to downtown Laredo shopping outlets and US/Mexico international bridges. Lyft/Uber are options as well. If you are passing through, why stay at a motel when you can stay like a local and support this mom and pop Airbnb. :)

The casita living areas include 2 bedrooms (with a total of four beds), a small kitchenette, and a bathroom. There are 2 full beds in one bedroom and 2 twin beds in a second bedroom.

Layout
Bedroom 1 includes 2 full-size beds, a clothes hanging station, TV with Roku, window AC unit for the summer, and heater unit for the winter.

The casita has a small but efficient kitchen with both a refrigerator and electric stove. It also has a small microwave, coffee maker, and a filtered water dispenser. The kitchen has a small prep area that doubles as a breakfast nook and also has several shelves available to store dry groceries, drinks, and/or other snacks. The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, cooking utensils, plates, cups, and napkins for your convenience.

The simple bathroom features a stand-up shower, clean toilet, sink, and mirror.

A washer/dryer unit sits on a corner of the casita offering guests the opportunity to refresh their wardrobe.

The house is also equipped with Wifi.

Parking inside a gated patio is also available for 1 auto. For extra security, outdoor cameras monitor car garage and patio area 24/7.

There is a designated pet relief area and guests also have access to a BBQ grill/picnic table setup outside the casita.

Other things to note
One of the charming bits of history of the casita is that the resourceful hosts used reclaimed wood, recycled alumnimum, and other materials to minimize the eco-foot print of the construction. Native plants and stones also help decorate the periphery of the casita. Hosts also often instal rain barrels to capture rain water for re-use for plant irrigation.

In addition, there is an enclosed pet relief area for guests traveling with a furry loved one. Please notify us in advance if you plan to travel with a pet to sort out the particulars. Papa Tony and Mama Juany have a beautiful dog named Cristy who loves to sunbathe and take naps. She is both an indoor and outdoor dog but she will be in her own separate dog area during your stay.
