Welcome to our charming 0.5-acre property! Here, you'll find our cozy two-story main house and a private guesthouse nestled right behind it, easily accessible through a gate on the left. We've thoughtfully provided a brightly lit outdoor space where you can sit back and relax. Guests also have the option of their own private patio or can gather together in the spacious, covered central area of the yard.

Step outside and discover a variety of amenities designed for your relaxation! The guesthouse features its own cozy patio right out back. For shared enjoyment, we've provided a large covered area complete with a fire pit and a radio, creating the perfect spot to unwind. If you're hosting a larger group, our spacious deck at the far end of the property offers an ideal gathering space.

Other things to note
Our property is located in a remote area, which means you'll need to factor in travel time for any necessities. The closest option is The Copper Lantern, a small convenience store at the end of our road. For a wider selection of supplies, you'll need to head into town. Even though it's a rural setting, you might see neighbors out for walks day and night. For your peace of mind, please remember to lock your vehicles and keep all valuables out of sight.

Our mission is to invite you to take it easy at this simple and tranquil getaway. The cabin is a walk-in guest room with bathroom, and is located on the same property as the main house and other guest houses. You will be given privacy. We furnish a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker and coffee supplies. Free Wi-Fi and Roku Tv. This is a great place for you to spend the night and to springboard into your hill country adventures, enjoying the Cowboy Capital of the world.

The space
This hill has been called "healing hill.” The sunsets melt away, and you can too, as you sit out on your lawn chairs and experience the sun going down. Coyotes yap and howl a little out in the distance, and a rabbit is sure to come darting across the yard when the Texas sun begins to set.

The cabin sits on 5 acres, but we ask that you stay at your campsite. The site is located with other cabins and houses, so you will not be alone, but everyone is polite and friendly. Hiking is not available on the property, but there is plenty of outdoor activity near by: Hill Country State Park, Bandera City Park, Medina Lake, Medina River. Garner State Park and Lost Maples State Park is a reasonable drive away to make a day trip.

The property is available for glamping and the cabin features a walk-in bedroom with spacious bathroom. You are welcome to pitch your tents and have access to the cabin as well.

The cabin sleeps two people, but if you pitch tents, you can have more registered guests for an additional fee of $20 a person. Please ask first, so I can adjust the guest limit BEFORE you arrive.

This is South Texas, so occasionally burn bans come into effect. Please be aware of this and with each booking I will keep you alerted to whether or not the fire pit is available for use. In the case of a burn ban, you may choose to stay without fire or find another spot (burn ban in one location is burn ban in all the county).

Bandera County is a rural place where you will see a very well-kept yard next to one that may be more rustic. That is the case in our neighborhood as well. You will see a half million dollar house next to a run down property. Our property is well kept and maintained. Our neighbor’s property is a bit of an eyesore. You will see this property as you drive back to the cabin. Once at the cabin, you do not have a view of our neighbor’s property unless you’re absolutely walking out of your way to look for it. 

You are in the Texas hill country, so don't be surprised to encounter wildlife of all kinds: insects, bugs, raccoons, squirrels, deer and many other creatures are normal parts of living outside of the city. Please be careful. You will not receive a refund if you find a spider, scorpion, snake, possum, armadillo, mosquitoes, mouse, or any other creeping or flying creature.

The cabin and the fire-pit site are available for use. The rest of the property is private for other guests/tenants. No hiking is available directly on the property, but plenty of hiking is available in the general area.

Other things to note
This is a hill country adventure, so you may encounter creatures that live in South Texas. Watch for deer as you drive, and know that when you see one, others are not too far behind. Although I have not seen one on the property yet, it would not be unlikely to encounter a rattlesnake. Be cautious and alert at all times. Summertime brings mosquitos. Be prepared.

Welcome to Benita's Getaway located off Highway 16 in Pipe Creek. This cozy guest house is situated behind the main house. Fully equipped kitchen- full size refrigerator, stove, toaster, coffee pot, blender. There is a lot to offer in the surrounding area: 10 mi. east is Medina Lake for fishing and boating; 13 mi. north to Bandera "Cowboy Capital of the World" for river tubing and horseback riding; 12 miles to Tapatito Springs for golf; and 19 mi. west to Boerne with it's unique shopping.

Take a leisurely stroll through the enchanting oak and cedar groves, or marvel at the majestic large oak tree at the back of the property (please refrain from climbing it). As you wander, you might be lucky enough to spot Axis, whitetail, or the occasional black buck deer, adding a touch of magic to your stay.

Well, the Hill Country Mirage near Bandera is no illusion; it’s a great vacation escape many travelers seek! With its own fish-stocked private pond, dedicated bar and entertainment area, hundreds of trees, and sleeping space for up to eight people, this family-friendly getaway provides a perfect home base for your Hill Country adventures!

The space
Rolling mountain views surround the 35 acres at the Hill Country Mirage, and you’ll be staying in a historic early 1900s-era farmhouse that’s been restored and modernized for your comfort. Plenty of deer and other wildlife roam here, with numerous viewing spots from which nature lovers can observe. The private pond is stocked with catfish, and you can swim, canoe, and fish from the rock-solid dock alongside it.

There are more extras before stepping inside! There’s plenty of outdoor furniture, a shaded gazebo, front and back porches, a charcoal grill, a private outdoor shower, and even a tire swing and treehouse! The bar area features koozies from the owner’s travels, along with a fridge, sink, card table, and TV. This rental requires a signed liability release, and two RV hookups with 50-amp power, water and septic service are available for an additional fee; please ask about this option when booking if you’re interested.

Stylish modern updates alongside country highlights give this renovated farm home a warm and welcoming personality. The interior space can be customized to your liking with central air, heating, and ceiling fans, and for entertainment you can fire up the satellite TV and take advantage of Wifi service, too. The living areas and dining areas are accommodating and spacious, and the full kitchen is appointed with modern appliances and plenty of cooking and serving ware, utensils, and glasses. A washer and dryer are also on-site for cleanup convenience.

The Hill Country Mirage features three bedrooms and two full baths. The master en suite has its own bath, and the second is shared by the other two bedrooms; both baths feature shower stalls, basic toiletries, and clean linens. Up to eight of your folks will slumber in warm comfort here; the master bedroom has a king-sized bed, with a queen in the second bedroom, and kids love the two bunk bed setups in the third bedroom, with four single beds. All six beds are draped in fluffy, clean linens, too.

If you would like to bring an RV in addition to renting the guesthouse, just let us know and we'll book the lot for an additional $30 day/$170 week, including water, 30/50 amp hookup (no septic), WiFi, and the same access to the property and pool. This spot will be empty unless you choose to book it, and is available for parking or picnic table use regardless of reservation.

• Parking for 1-2 cars is next to the guest house, and additional parking in RV lane with access to EV charging station (painted orange).
• Exclusive, private access to the pool and pool deck.
• Neighborhood roads offer easy scenic walks.
• Feel free to explore the property with exception of the owner's private screened porch and deck with spa (not in use) behind the owner's house.
• About 4 wooded acres directly behind the guest/owners' houses are available for advanced hikers only due to loose rock and steep terrain.
• Please leash pets if you are bringing them since the yard is not fenced.
• Please respect the neighbors' property which begins at the live oak beyond the hammock, and at the fencing on other side of the property.

Other things to note
The owners live onsite nearby, and are available should you need anything at all. My husband and I are quiet-natured and will respect your privacy. You may see us gardening, tending to the property or accessing the garden shed next to the guesthouse, however you're unlikely to notice.

Usually, to have access to a pool, lounging room, and two distinct guest spaces, you'd have to deal with exorbitant resort fees and complete strangers sharing your vacation getaway. Mucho Gusto takes care of all that! When you book here, you'll have the place, and all its comforts and amenities, to yourself. Yes, the owners are on the property, but they respect your privacy, and will leave you be unless you have questions.

The Casita at Mucho Gusto contains a comfortable living area with cable TV and Wifi Internet service, and kept at your comfort level with central AC and heating. There are two bedrooms here, one with a king-sized bed, the second with a double, providing restful slumber for up to four people. The Casita has one spotlessly-clean full bath, which is accessed through one of the bedrooms. All bed and bath spaces are furnished with clean and fresh linens.

The Agave at Mucho Gusto serves as an entertainment area, complete with a pool table, dining room, bar, and private infrared sauna; both the indoor and outdoor areas here are designed for maximum comfort and enjoyment, perfect for a couples' getaway! Your kitchenette space here includes a fridge and microwave.

The spacious courtyard between the Casita and the Agave features three patios with comfortable outdoor furniture, and the entire space is landscaped with lush greenery! Hi and welcome to our cabin! We hope your stay is enjoyable whether you came to cook in the kitchen, BBQ, watch the sunset from the hot tub, relax in the pool (seasonal), stargaze into hillcountry night skies without city lights or noise, read in a hammock, sit by the fire, play indoor games, basketball, bean bag toss or yoga on the patio. We truly have it all. Please note we are in a cove of Medina Lake which may be 40ft deep here at the house or 100% dry. Please check prior to your booking!

The space
The house has a fully equiped kitchen and living space with full sized washer and dryer, range stove and oven and full size refrigerator freezer. There is a tv in this room. I have a 6ft folding table and chairs in the closet that can be set up in the kitchen for meals.

The loft is considered the second bedroom. It is a very small space to sleep or relax. It is accessible from the kitchen and has 1 full size mattress. Children should not use the loft unattended. Please ensure guests planning to stay in loft can safely be on their hands and knees. This is a small space

The bedroom has a triple bunk bed and a queen bed. The bunk beds have great adult mattresses! Small iron and ironing board in this room. Cabinet with multiple indoor games in this room.

The restroom has a full sized shower with bathtub, towels, wash cloths, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Hair dryer, flat iron and make-up wipes provided.

Beautiful pavilion with stock tank pool, dining table, hot tub, fire ring.

Covered hammock grove area with corn hole game, string lights and beautiful views.

Covered patio by entrance with large propane grill and patio seating perfect for morning coffee and sunrise or grilling dinner.
