Welcome to our charming 0.5-acre property! Here, you'll find our cozy two-story main house and a private guesthouse nestled right behind it, easily accessible through a gate on the left. We've thoughtfully provided a brightly lit outdoor space where you can sit back and relax. Guests also have the option of their own private patio or can gather together in the spacious, covered central area of the yard.

Step outside and discover a variety of amenities designed for your relaxation! The guesthouse features its own cozy patio right out back. For shared enjoyment, we've provided a large covered area complete with a fire pit and a radio, creating the perfect spot to unwind. If you're hosting a larger group, our spacious deck at the far end of the property offers an ideal gathering space.

Other things to note
Our property is located in a remote area, which means you'll need to factor in travel time for any necessities. The closest option is The Copper Lantern, a small convenience store at the end of our road. For a wider selection of supplies, you'll need to head into town. Even though it's a rural setting, you might see neighbors out for walks day and night. For your peace of mind, please remember to lock your vehicles and keep all valuables out of sight.

Our mission is to invite you to take it easy at this simple and tranquil getaway. The cabin is a walk-in guest room with bathroom, and is located on the same property as the main house and other guest houses. You will be given privacy. We furnish a mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker and coffee supplies. Free Wi-Fi and Roku Tv. This is a great place for you to spend the night and to springboard into your hill country adventures, enjoying the Cowboy Capital of the world.

The space
This hill has been called "healing hill.” The sunsets melt away, and you can too, as you sit out on your lawn chairs and experience the sun going down. Coyotes yap and howl a little out in the distance, and a rabbit is sure to come darting across the yard when the Texas sun begins to set.

The cabin sits on 5 acres, but we ask that you stay at your campsite. The site is located with other cabins and houses, so you will not be alone, but everyone is polite and friendly. Hiking is not available on the property, but there is plenty of outdoor activity near by: Hill Country State Park, Bandera City Park, Medina Lake, Medina River. Garner State Park and Lost Maples State Park is a reasonable drive away to make a day trip.

The property is available for glamping and the cabin features a walk-in bedroom with spacious bathroom. You are welcome to pitch your tents and have access to the cabin as well.

The cabin sleeps two people, but if you pitch tents, you can have more registered guests for an additional fee of $20 a person. Please ask first, so I can adjust the guest limit BEFORE you arrive.

This is South Texas, so occasionally burn bans come into effect. Please be aware of this and with each booking I will keep you alerted to whether or not the fire pit is available for use. In the case of a burn ban, you may choose to stay without fire or find another spot (burn ban in one location is burn ban in all the county).

Bandera County is a rural place where you will see a very well-kept yard next to one that may be more rustic. That is the case in our neighborhood as well. You will see a half million dollar house next to a run down property. Our property is well kept and maintained. Our neighbor’s property is a bit of an eyesore. You will see this property as you drive back to the cabin. Once at the cabin, you do not have a view of our neighbor’s property unless you’re absolutely walking out of your way to look for it. 

You are in the Texas hill country, so don't be surprised to encounter wildlife of all kinds: insects, bugs, raccoons, squirrels, deer and many other creatures are normal parts of living outside of the city. Please be careful. You will not receive a refund if you find a spider, scorpion, snake, possum, armadillo, mosquitoes, mouse, or any other creeping or flying creature.

The cabin and the fire-pit site are available for use. The rest of the property is private for other guests/tenants. No hiking is available directly on the property, but plenty of hiking is available in the general area.

Other things to note
This is a hill country adventure, so you may encounter creatures that live in South Texas. Watch for deer as you drive, and know that when you see one, others are not too far behind. Although I have not seen one on the property yet, it would not be unlikely to encounter a rattlesnake. Be cautious and alert at all times. Summertime brings mosquitos. Be prepared.

Welcome to Benita's Getaway located off Highway 16 in Pipe Creek. This cozy guest house is situated behind the main house. Fully equipped kitchen- full size refrigerator, stove, toaster, coffee pot, blender. There is a lot to offer in the surrounding area: 10 mi. east is Medina Lake for fishing and boating; 13 mi. north to Bandera "Cowboy Capital of the World" for river tubing and horseback riding; 12 miles to Tapatito Springs for golf; and 19 mi. west to Boerne with it's unique shopping.

Take a leisurely stroll through the enchanting oak and cedar groves, or marvel at the majestic large oak tree at the back of the property (please refrain from climbing it). As you wander, you might be lucky enough to spot Axis, whitetail, or the occasional black buck deer, adding a touch of magic to your stay.
