The Country Oasis guesthouse is the latest addition, and we loaded it with all of the luxuries. Linens are so soft. The memory foam king bed is amazing. Fun fact- we use this mattress at other properties and actually have guests message us after their stay asking what brand the mattress is so they can get one! About this Space

This quaint and quiet guesthouse is nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Guests have access to the family private pool and spa. It features a lofty large room that includes, sleeping, living, and dining area, as well as fully equipped kitchen. This guesthouse is right for you if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The space
It’s been described as Just Shy of Heaven Guesthouse, a Super Barndominium. It features a large (883 sq ft) living area, with vaulted ceiling covered with corrugated steel. The large room incorporates sleeping, living, dining area with two window AC units and three floor heating units. As a true home away from home, our Guesthouse has a fully outfitted kitchen and bathroom. We may be country, but we offer wireless WiFi, a large flatscreen TV with StarzEncore channels 500-507 plus DVDs

Guest Access

You will have access to Just Shy of Heaven Guesthouse, pool, and spa. Swimming during the cold seasons is not possible, but you can enjoy a relaxing evening in our heated spa.
Pool is covered from Fall through Winter, (mid September through April). We offer an outdoor wood burning fire pit that will add to your enjoyment on cool evening also. Our ranchito provides many a photo op! The wild life is also plentiful. You may see White tail deer, goats, raccoons, eagles, hawks, cardinals, blue jays, hummingbirds, squirrels, and enjoy our chickens. The air quality is great with unending amounts of billowing white clouds during the day, with a usual breeze to cool one off, and breathtaking starry nights that are easily viewed from the guesthouse.

Other things to note.
We have two family dogs, so we have installed a solar powered entrance gate kit to keep gate closed and dogs kept safely inside. Guests will be given a temporary gate code during their stay.

The bedroom has a new medium-firm mattress with 4 pillows, Roku TV and black out curtains. There's an outside patio perfect for morning coffee or evening happy hour.

The home has fast internet (250+ mps) and comes with washer/dryer. There is 1 parking pad space.

This is an adorable efficiency guesthouse. It is centrally (and super conveniently) located in Old Town - walking distance to Southwestern University and very close to the Georgetown Square. There is no kitchen, but there is a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. The space is small (the same as a small hotel room) but cute, clean and more comfortable! Please be aware that it’s a full size bed, if that matters to you. It’s NOT a queen or king. There are welcoming snacks and drinks provided!

The Shangri-Lodge is a bright, roomy, 700 square foot, one bedroom guest cottage on our 10-acre property. We're just a couple miles from Southwestern University and historic downtown Georgetown, with easy access to the 130 tollway for guests who want to travel into Austin quickly.

The space
Need to get away? Maybe just need a change of scenery for a few days? You could be on the front porch of the Shangri-Lodge drinking coffee and bird watching or relaxing and reading a book under the cedar tree out back. The reliable wi-fi makes our cottage a great place to work from "home" or use the fresh air and open space as a back drop for a personal retreat. For fellow Texans, our terrific location is a quick road trip away for a special weekend or just getting away from your regular routine.

Visiting Georgetown for a wedding? We're close to several popular event venues like The Milestone (10.7 miles), Bentwood Texas (5 miles), The Page House (6 miles), Pearl Snap Hall (5.4 miles), Celebrino Events Center (6.2 miles), Wish Well House (4.7 miles) and the Garey House (12 miles).

Attending a conference but don't want to stay at the conference hotel? We're about a 20 minute drive from both the Sheraton Hotel in Georgetown and the Kalahari Resort in Round Rock.

Guests will have access to the entire, private cottage and are welcome to explore the 10-acre property. There is also a horse shoe pit behind the cottage, a bocce ball set, a picnic table with umbrella, and a gas grill on a side patio for guests to use. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen with full-size appliances including a 5-burner gas stove, and plenty of pots, pans, cooking utensils and spices. (Note: no dishwasher)

There is a dedicated parking space for cottage guests and we can also accommodate additional vehicles--just let us know in advance.

Other things to note
The Shangri-Lodge is listed as 'no smoking' and that includes no smoking of any kind, including e-cigarettes/vaping, allowed on the entire 10-acre property. The cottage isn't child proof, which is why it may be unsafe for toddlers and very young children, although we can certainly accommodate infants. Please scroll down and make sure to carefully read all the House Rules prior to booking to ensure that our space will be a good match for you and your needs. (Be sure to click on 'Show All'.)

Due to the preparation time to provide a safe, clean environment for our guests, we require a 2-night minimum stay. We prefer 48 hours advanced notice, although we may be able to accommodate a request made with 24 hours notice. We will not be able to accommodate requests the day of, so if you're looking for some place to stay tonight, we simply can't make that happen.

We have three friendly dogs who are often outside on the property and who will definitely want to meet you. If you are afraid of dogs, this is not the right space for you.
