Welcome to Hilltop Haven Retreat! Our modern two-bedroom, one and a half bath casita/guest house offers a serene escape in Texas' famous Hill Country. Enjoy a private sparkling pool, outdoor kitchen, and firepit. Full kitchen, study, generous master suite. Located in the Village of the Hills, you can explore nearby lakes, the Texas Hill Country Whiskey Trail, and Austin's famous live music scene, just 30 minutes away. The space
Our guest home is a spacious one bedroom, one study guest-house in the Hills, Texas. You can enjoy this golf-course community guest house located in the Hills, Texas, which is home to the incredible Jack Nicklaus-designed Hills Golf Course.
Most people have seen guest houses. However, this one's on a different level.
First - it's located in the Hills, TX, which is a 24-hour guard-gated golf-course community. This gives you an added level of security and safety so that you have one less thing to worry about when you're vacationing at Hilltop Haven Retreat.
When you arrive, you'll notice your own garage that you can park your car in and keep it out of the elements. Texas weather can be a little unpredictable. NOTE: It's meant for normal sized cars and small SUV's. The Yukon Denali or Ford F-250 will be parking outside. :-)
Once you unlock the door with your own guest code - the first thing you'll see as you walk in is the fully-stocked kitchen and living room. While meal-prep during a vacation isn't necessarily top of most people's lists...you'll have all the basics you need to prepare meals (food is on you), or just make a simple cup of coffee. And, no one likes to buy mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise, coffee or sugar on vacation - so, we're providing those for you.
The living room has a spacious couch and 65" Roku TV so you can hang out, catch up, watch movies, or play games.
Down the hall, you have a full laundry including iron and ironing board. Across from the laundry area is the study. The study includes a lighted workspace/desk, a 32" Roku monitor, and comfortable office chair so you can plug in and work, or stream/watch TV. It also boasts a pull-down double Murphy bed with luxury linens. Need cables to plug in? We've got 'em.
The master bedroom has a King-size bed with luxury linens and an en-suite bathroom for privacy. The bathroom has a dual vanity, walk-in-shower, and walk-in closet. This is the type of bedroom/bathroom setup that's designed to remove the stress of being on vacation.
Open the sliding door in the kitchen/living room and step out onto the pool deck that surrounds the sparkling pool. This is where the space gets even more amazing. Two chaise lounges. Two adirondack chairs on the baja shelf. Two pub tables with four chairs a piece. Three umbrellas. A couch. Two fans. Two heaters (in case it's cold). A BBQ. A full-stocked mini-fridge. A 65" TV. Sonos music system.
Oh, and a firepit on the lower level, surrounded by the lush garden that was personally curated by your host, Master Gardener Tammy Smith.
The pool deck even has an outdoor accessible half-bathroom, plus an outdoor enclosed shower (lockable from the inside) with both cold AND hot water. You won't need to go through the guest house when nature calls. How cool is that?
Relax in the water. Relax in the sun. Relax in adirondack chairs listening to the gentle bubbler on the baja shelf. Relax on padded chaise lounges. Shade yourself under the multiple umbrellas. Listen to music on the outdoor Sonos system while enjoying the pool
Rock your worries away in the adirondack rockers around the firepit or around the pool. Birds and squirrels will entertain you in the garden curated by your host, Master Gardener Tammy.
Watch TV. Have a BBQ. Play cornhole. This is an outdoor space to help you relax from your days of events...or, just an outdoor space to help you relax.

Guest access
Guests get their run of the guest house, pool, fire pit area and enclosed front yard. As hosts, we will share and have access to those areas but will respect your privacy when you’re enjoying your time at Hilltop Haven Retreat.
This is our guest house located on the back of our Primary Residence. The home is across the street from the lake in a quirky neighborhood tucked near Lake Travis. We are thrilled to host you for a peaceful trip away from home. Bring your swimsuits and lake toys for a taste of lake living. Just a 5 minute walk to the water where there is a marina and grill with beautiful lake views.
The space
A small cottage with full amenities and easy access to the water. Our cottage sits on the upper plot of land with two sets of stairs to access it. The cottage does accommodate 4 people but please note we do not have any interior doors. It is meant to be a cozy intimate place!
Guest access
We have room to park a boat or jets skis in front of the main house. The guest parking for the cottage are two side by side spots in front of our shed. If you launch your boat from our ramp you can park the trailer back at the house and take a quick walk back down to the water.
Full washer and dryer on the side of the cottage.
Other things to note
We are set in Texas nature so be aware there will be mosquitos and some small wildlife in the area. Definitely bring some bug spray!

The Stewart studio offers a calm and relaxing place to stay for a few days or longer. Perfect for a couple or the solo traveler. Enjoy the private fenced yard that offers a complete outside living experience with a gas grill, fire pit, outdoor dining table, hot tub, and a seating area. Take a five minute stroll down the road where you will find the Sundancer Grill a relaxing restaurant right on Lake Travis with great views. Or take a dip in Lake Travis at our private neighborhood swimming cove.
The space
This is a Studio apartment that has one separate bedroom, living room/ kitchenette, and a full bathroom with walk-in shower and rain shower head. It has a fully fenced yard with a fire pit, gas grill, and an inflatable hot tub. Another mini split has been added to the living room area. The entire studio can now get cold during the hottest Texas summer days.
Guest access
We have lake access that's a five minute walk from the unit. Please note Lake Travis is not a constant level lake and the levels do vary and sometimes the dock in the pictures is not in the water. There is also a restaurant that is a five minute walk that's on the lake. The parking is directly in front of the unit. This is a detached unit from the main house guest will not have access to the main house or the main house backyard. If you would also like to book the main house it’s listed under host other listings and it’s called the Stewart house.

On Texas Time Properties has 4 cabins on site. They are spread out on the property giving you and your guests space to your own.

The property is on a well system, and it has a top of the line reverse osmosis system. However there still may be a slight smell or different taste to the water. We have a culligan system available in the gym if you prefer that.
If you are bringing a pet:
- All pets should be on a leash at all times
- Shots and vaccines should be updated. Especially tick/flea since we’re in the woods
- Never leave your pet unattended outside, for the safety of other guests on the property and to keep them safe from other wildlife
- No pee pads. If they can’t hold it they shouldn’t be left alone inside
- Dogs are NOT allowed on the furniture.
- Please pick up after your dog and put in the garbage outside by the garage
- Neighbors do have animals that come to the fence next to the unit if they’re outside.
