All visiting pets must be on the reservation and stay on a leash. Not reporting an animal, letting them off leash or not picking up after them could result in a canceled reservation and no refund.

Guests are welcome to stay and relax in the little house we originally built for our Mamau, who now resides in heaven. The house overlooks a small pond, sometimes full if we get the rain, but always visited by deer and dragonflies!

The space
Quiet and peaceful. Approximately 750 sq feet of house supplied with everything you should need for your stay! Two bedrooms with queen beds. We do not do any maid services such as cleaning during your stay but do supply soap and softener sheets for clothes and linens washing. There is a change of sheets in the closets. Many of the basic condiments such as olive oil, baking powder, spices, etc. and pots, pans, dishes, and utensils for your cooking are in the cabinets so you should only have to buy the main stuff! Look in the cabinets before you go shopping and if we need to refill anything such as paper towels, toilet paper, etc. - let us know!


Guests are welcome to use the pool, the cedar Pergola area, and the propane griddle & BBQ grill.

We have traveled a lot throughout the world and always enjoy staying in Zimmer Frei kind of places! We will like to get to know you a bit but will certainly respect your privacy! The house is set far back from the main house and you come and go as you please without at all passing through the main house!

The neighborhood is nice and quiet and safe - good for walking.

There is not easy public transportation close by! A vehicle is necessary to get anywhere.

Then wind down the evening in the house's courtyard under a giant oak to the peaceful trickling of the water garden.

The Armstrong-Adams House, built in 1869, is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and was awarded a Texas Historical Marker.

We are literally across the street from Village Venue and Chapel! Is great music your thing? You are a short walk away from Johnny’s BBQ, host to some of the finest country music artists ever! Y’all come see us!

The historic home has three generously-sized beds in two bedrooms with two separate bathrooms to service each room. Both rooms come equipped with remote-controlled electric fireplaces that can provide heating on cooler nights or a romantic ambiance. The communal space comes with full kitchen, coffee and tea bar, and the living room sofas could even sleep a couple people more!

Enjoy conversation in the courtyard out back under twinkle lights hung from a 200-year-old oak tree.
