Welcome to the historic Homestead at the Dripping Springs. This house is one of three available lodgings each of the three dwellings are unique to their time period, style and setting. Clara's House and Butler Cabin are all part of the Homestead at the Dripping Springs and can be reserved at the same time to sleep a total of 8 people.
They are centrally located in the Historic Mercer Street District of Dripping Springs, close to shops, wedding venues, wine trails, parks and beautiful country roads.

The newest addition to the Homestead is Willie Mae's Cottage. It is a rock and board/batten cottage with a tiled walk-in shower, large bathroom, kitchenette and breakfast nook that looks out on the large oak tree and swing. The stone used to complete the cottage was furnished from the original smokehouse on the historic property. This romantic cottage is furnished with period antiques and re-purposed wood from the community. Large side porch with rockers that overlook historic corral and ancient oak tree.

This unique dog-friendly Dripping Springs vacation rental has access to an outdoor entertainment area complete with a shared pool and two hot tubs, as well as an outdoor kitchen, creating a fun experience for a group of girlfriends, a small family, or a group of post-wedding guests. The cottage is a single-level home of quirky taste, with nice hardwood floors and a mix of fun antique furnishings. The living room is on the simple side, making it a wonderful space for guests to relax. Entertainment amenities include WiFi, a DVD player and movie selection to watch on the flatscreen TV (there is no cable), and several board games. Guests traveling with little ones have a Pack N' Play, baby gates, and a high chair to use. The kitchen is an immaculate space with white cabinetry, white appliances, and sand tone countertops (please note that there is no dishwasher). The pressed tin backsplash and cute trinkets add a bit of flair to the culinary experience.

Take the fun outside to the shared back patio, where you can cook a meal in the outdoor kitchen while other guests splash about in the shared pool - this area is shared between the three homes on the property. The sandstone kitchen is fully covered and well-lit, and includes a stainless steel gas grill, a mini-fridge, and a single gas burner. There's even a bar for observers to drink and chat with the grill master. The pool area is surrounded by lounge chairs and picnic tables for the ultimate outdoor party. No need to go back inside to freshen up - there's an outdoor locker area here, complete with a shower and toilet! Use the in-home washer/dryer to keep towels and bathing suits fresh.

This is a two-bedroom, one-bathroom home. Both of the bedrooms have queen beds, TVs, and are lovingly named after the vintage soda signs that hang above the beds. One of the sofas in the living room pulls out into a full-size sleeper. All in all, this home can sleep up to six guests. Well-behaved, friendly dogs are welcome to come too (please note that there is an additional nightly fee).

It'll be hard to want to do anything else but explore this property, which itself includes hiking trails and plenty of outdoor spaces to nap or read in the shade under a tree or by the pool. This house is downstream from the original “dripping springs” (which the town is named after) and it flows into our very own historic “Milk Springs” where nearby settlers, in the 1800 and early 1900s would put their dairy items in the ice cold spring to keep them fresh. This spring box is located in a beautiful grotto located at the back of our property. You can see into the grotto from the yard!

Owner helped me out quickly (and once it was very late). Property has everything needed for a short stay. I wish coffee/creamer was provided. We had to buy our own (: House needs blinds or curtains (yellow) in 1 of the bedrooms and the living area (you could see the neighbors and vice versa). Maybe curtains over the back door window too....the sun is brutal if you are sitting on the couch. Owners are great to communicate with. Will be staying here again next year. But hoping these minor changes can be done. And, the bathtub is wonderful....not recommended for older people who have trouble getting in/out of the tub. Extra shampoo/conditioner/toilet tissue would be a plus."

The Cowhouse has a heartwarming backstory: Built in 2008 by the owners, Andi and Jerry, it originally served as their weekend home. Back then, there was no fence to keep out the livestock, and the curious cows would often approach the house. Their grandson affectionately dubbed it the Cowhouse, as he and his sister loved watching the cows up close. The name stuck, capturing the essence of this rustic retreat.

Barkspin Oaks Ranch, part of a larger ranch settled by Andi’s grandparents nearly 100 years ago, remains rugged and teems with wildlife. Deer, rabbits, and a family of foxes call it home. Bird feeders attract a variety of avian visitors, and occasionally, a pair of hawks graces the skies. It’s a place where nature and tranquility converge, inviting guests to unwind and connect with the land.

The Cowhouse is over 200 feet away from the owners' home and both are on top of a hill inside a 4-acre fenced area. The main house is located where it does not impact the great views seen from the Cowhouse. Outdoor living areas for both homes are separated by trees and there is enough space between them to ensure privacy. The owners and guests will share the private road to the public road but the Cowhouse has a separate parking area. The Cowhouse is 0.3 miles from the public road.

Guests will be allowed to walk around the mowed areas of the fenced 4 acres at their own risk. Guests are not allowed outside of this fenced area except when entering or exiting in their vehicle.

This cabin is so comfy, with a King bed and vintage lodge feel. There's a seating area (with streaming TV) which includes a sofa -- if needed for additional guests, it pulls out into a Queen sofa bed, linens included...and it's comfy, too!
Fantastic location, down the street from Camp Lucy, minutes to Downtown Drip and EASY access to all the venues, festivals, breweries, distilleries and wineries in the area. This cottage has rustic charm but with all the comforts you'll love! Wonderful king-sized bed, a beautiful stone shower and separate dressing area. A roomy dresser, and plenty of hanging space for your belongings. In the morning, a Keurig coffee bar is stocked with all the goods you need to get you going!
