I searched the listing and although there was little phone light I could tell the listing was pristine. It’s cute and comfy on the inside. The decor is cute as well. The space
This home has a comfortable and spacious living room, a full sized kitchen, and a good sized bedroom with a bathroom just off the bedroom. There is a laundry room that is included with the home and reserved only for the guest. It is steps from the back door.

Finally, the yard is xeriscaped with a covered patio area in the fenced back yard with outdoor furniture.

Cottage Oasis
Charming cottage with a lovely drought-tolerant front garden. It is a hidden oasis in plain view. Ideal for someone traveling across Texas or traveling nurses-2 hospitals here; Midland Memorial 30 min. with I-20 access just a 2-mile drive. Set-up for a business traveler tired of motels; a small family weekend; a fun girl-time staycation with mom and grandma; a girlfriends' getaway weekend; or just a go-away-world mini rest-stop. Close to Odessa College and our university.

The space
The 86-year-old cottage has a recently restored interior, has a vintage vibe, and is decorated with original art and artistic touches. The living room has a daybed with a pop-up trundle that can be left as two twins or pushed together with a seam filler to make it into a king-sized bed. Cookware, dishes, snacks, and refreshments in the kitchen. You can eat light or make a meal. Books and movies galore. In the closets, you'll find a cot, a foldable pad with hanging items to keep a baby's interest, puzzles, extra blankets/pillows, an iron, a hairdryer, a curling iron, a flat iron, and fans.

Guest access
You will have access to the cottage, a tiny front porch, and the small front and back gardens. Check with the host on availability for booking a photo session by request.

Other things to note
Multiple companies are available for food delivery. We live in an older part of town; the cottage is 86 years old. The provider for the electric companies has not updated the delivery system in decades, so not only is it really hot in July/August in Odessa, but on 100+ degree days, it is especially hot between the hours of 3-7 pm. We have tabletop portable AC cooling fans and traditional fans. Another option we suggest is to go to the movies.

DOWNTOWN DESERT COTTAGE is conveniently located in downtown Odessa. It is a unique 1938 cottage nestled among BUSINESS BUILDINGS. Several important businesses are within walking distance. Medical Center and ORMC.There is a new Starbucks three blocks away. Several restaurants within walking distance.
The house has everything for a comfy stay.

The space
The location makes the cottage ideal for guests traveling without transportation. One door over is a city bus terminal. We don't have extensive bus system, but it's doable. Avis car rental 3 blocks away. Mexican, Burgers, Coffee, Bar n Grill all within walking distance. However, it is an urban setting. If you are looking for family attractions you will have to drive at least 15-20 minutes. This is an urban downtown location; therefore eating establishments do close early. Other places which stay open late are just a 15-20 minute drive.
