- "An amazing stay that matched all the reviews and provided what we needed - an unplugged, remote and relaxing stay! Pitch black at night, shaded during the day. Hot tub outside is accessible via a fully paved pathway. External sound system speakers are high quality. Having the vinyl turntable and listening to classic records was relaxing, but also being able to stream your personal music to the system was a great touch. HOT HOT water available! (And that outdoor tub is a very neat feature!) Overall a near perfect stay. My only awareness I'd put out there for anyone, if this is important to them (and is not an overall negative of any way): internal tub is higher so can be an issue for shorties (like us), internal lights create heat and are of the dimmer type - romantic yes, but a little impractical to stay cool and/or see things clearly for older eyes, no desk/small table besides what is in the kitchen, bring favorite DVD's to watch, consider grocery shopping on the way in - Brookshire's is the only grocery in town and its a traditional smaller style store - so selection is limited compared to what we've grown accustomed to in large Wal-Mart towns."

This is a 50+ year old farmhouse that has been renovated inside and out. However, it still has held onto its character along with some of the charms of its age (squeaky floors and small cracks due to foundation shifting over time).

The water on the property is fine to drink but has a strong iron content. Filtered water (cold and instant hot) has been provided for your convenience.

★ MORE PROPERTY COMING ★
Your property access is 1.5 acres of the almost 11-acre estate and the barn on the property is not accessible to guests. This will change in the future as we continue to renovate (Game Barn and Glamping sites coming!).

★ EAST TEXAS FRIENDS ★
Although we spray the house inside and outside regularly, keep it cleaned, prepped, and maintained after each guest, please remember that this is a 50+ year old farmhouse out in the East Texas piney woods country. You may come across some of our East Texas friends (crickets, fire ants, etc.).

★ COVID-19 SANITIZATION ★
Heath, safety, and well-being of our guests are of utmost importance. For this reason, we use a thorough and extensive cleaning process after each check-out.

★ NO PETS ALLOWED ★
We love those little (and not so little) furry bundles of joy. Sadly, our home is not suitable to accommodate them. If you sneak in a pet, you will be charged an additional $300 and asked to leave.

★ NO SMOKING INSIDE ★
Please refrain from smoking inside the home! Any smoking evidence will result in a fee for Oder Removal, Duct Cleaning, and Furniture Cleaning.

★ NO PARTIES/EVENTS ★
We kindly ask you to treat our home as your own to preserve its pristine condition for future guests and your return visits.

- "The Lidge is tucked away in ore City, TX. It is close to Barnwell z mountain Recreation Area. The cabin is homey and comfy and just the right size for our group. We stay here whenever we go off-roading in the area. We are able to buy farm fresh eggs based on availability. There is a pond that is beautiful. The master bed is super comfy! The host is always so welcoming and just really “good people”. We highly recommend this hidden gem if looking for a place in the area. They also have a program supporting Veterans!"

Come relax in our lovely East Texas home, right in the heart of the piney woods. Recently remodeled with in-ground pool in the backyard, it's a perfect place to beat the Texas heat.

The space
Our home is located centrally in Longview, Texas. Only 2 hours from Dallas and 1 hour from Shreveport, LA. We are close to plenty of great Texas recreation such as fishing, hunting, and state parks. making this a perfect home base for any day trips. We are also located in the heart of Longview's main commerce center, so there are a wide variety of restaurant and bar options within a very short drive.

Guest access
Guests will have their own private room and bathroom. You will also have access to our spacious outdoor pool and grill, and a lovely front yard. There is also an outdoor fireplace by the pool. We have laundry facilities in house which you are more than welcome to use, along with the kitchen and living room area. We want you to feel at home, so make yourselves comfortable!

During your stay
We will be available to help with any needs you may have throughout your stay. When possible, we can drive you to areas of interest around town, and we are happy to advise on activities, day-trips, and all things East Texas.

Our room and the guest room are on opposite sides of the home, so if you prefer a more private stay that's no problem either!

Other things to note
Smoking is not permitted inside the house, but we have comfortable sitting areas in both the front and backyards where smoking is fine.

Cozy private room in nice neighborhood available for a minimum 3-night stay / discount applied for a 30-day stay. It has 1 queen size bed and shared bathroom. Just a few miles from most anywhere you'd like to shop as well as any kind of food you can imagine. I have friendly pets, a small terrier and 2 cats who share my home with me.

My home was built in the 1940’s, a three bedroom, 1 bath, Living Room, Dining area, Kitchen and clothes washing area. Original hardwood floors and large bedrooms.
We are close to Downtown Marshall, 3 minute drive (20-30 minute walk). Close to grocery stores, restaurants, hospital, and down the road from our Marshall Mall. Just a few miles from most anywhere you'd like to shop as well as any kind of food you can imagine and a movie theater. A 30 minute or so drive to Shreveport Louisiana and all its attractions.

Guest access
Guest room is all yours. You may use any part of the house, with the exception of the master bedroom, and my work room. You have access to the kitchen and all its tools as long as you clean up after yourself. You are also welcome to use the washer and dryer. The backyard is available for your use, smoking outside or just chillin. You also have your own parking space aside the driveway.

During your stay
If booked I am easy to reach through the Airbnb app. Once booked I will provide you with my cell number as well. I’m available for a visit, and can provide you with any info I can regarding the events in town. If not, feel free to go about your business privately.

You may leave your used bath towels on the floor in the bathroom, I will pick up daily and wash them once a week or as needed.

Every 2 weeks of your stay, I will change and make your bed with fresh clean sheets. If you mind me coming into your room to provide this service, you have the option of using the house washer and dryer at any time.

We are 30 minutes walking distance from several places, the park, downtown, the mall, hospital, convenience stores, flower shop and some fast food restaurants. We are 30 minutes driving time from Longview and one hour from Tyler Zoo, 30-40 minutes from Shreveport Casinos, restaurants, shopping and the Boardwalk. 30 mins from Jefferson for antiquing, and Lake of the Pines for our famous Piney Woods. A 1933 home in historical Longview approx. 1 mile from the Downtown area.This is a very unique place-our 3rd floor loft;a space we use to accommodate friend and family visitors.We are opening it as a budget-minded option for those needing a private space to rest, reset and cook(as we know food prep is essential in a humble budget!)
Since 2018,we have provided a clean, pest-free and affordable option to both locals and traveling professionals on our 2nd floor. Our fam lives on 1st floor. Welcome!

The space
This is a 3rd floor loft, it's fairly large and is an open concept. 5 beds will accommodate 7 people, comfortably.

Guest access
Guests will enter through the rear stairwell and head up 3 flights of stairs. AIRBNB signs will lead the way. :)

Other things to note
You may park on the street, in the driveway behind the shipping container, or you can go to the rear lot for larger vehicles or trailers, 902 Cole.
