Walking to close by restaurants and shops is easy and safe. Access many places within a 5 minute walk. The main square is less than 15 minutes walking. Texas Woman`s University is directly beside the property.

Our property is 3 acres that you are welcome to walk around. I encourage to walk around our lovely neighborhood as well!

Check in is anytime after 4pm and check out is anytime before 11am. In order to allow our cleaning staff the time needed to properly clean and prepare for your stay, we typically cannot allow an early check in or late checkout. An early check in (12pm-4pm) or late checkout (11am-12pm) can be requested for a fee of $25. This will be dependent on availability.

Pets are welcome! We charge $15 pet fee per night/per pet (for a maximum of $150 and 2 pets) per stay to your email the day of arrival.

The neighborhood is very safe, quiet and family friendly. There is a large park across the street. It has an outdoor pool and multiple play structures. You can easily walk to TWU in 5 minutes. Coffee shops and restaurants are a 5–10-minute walk away. The square and downtown Denton is less than 15-minute walk. Ample parking available for free. You can access the suite with a self-check in.
Please note the apartment is on the second floor and you have to climb a set of stairs to access the apartment. Once inside the apartment there are no stairs.

Please note that animals and assistance animals of any kind are not permitted due to building animal regulations. We LOVE our Sunshine Place, it's got an optimal location, walking distance to TWU, near Downtown Square, near UNT. Free assigned parking spot steps from your front door. I personally chose all the furnishings and decor to reflect joy, love and positive energy. I hope you enjoy this place.

The apartment is located above what was once a state of the art recording studio.
Our property is 3 acres that you are welcome to walk around. I encourage to walk around our lovely neighborhood as well!

Other things to note
Check in is anytime after 4pm and check out is anytime before 11am. In order to allow our cleaning staff the time needed to properly clean and prepare for your stay, we typically cannot allow an early check in or late checkout. An early check in (12pm-4pm) or late checkout (11am-12pm) can be requested for a fee of $25. This will be dependent on availability.

Pets are welcome! We charge $15 pet fee per night/per pet (for a maximum of $150 and 2 pets) per stay to your email the day before arrival.

Pool is available upon request.
If you “reserve” the pool area, we will do our best to give you privacy.

Our family loves to live, work and play in Denton, Tx and with very close proximity to downtown Denton… you will too. Stay at our studio-it’s an adorable little gem of a spot in l’il d that is VERY close to our beloved Courthouse on the Square. Behind a green cottage you will see a blue door and cedar planked studio shaded by a grand Pecan tree-that’s your l’il DEN in l’il d and Denton welcomes you. NEW with comfortable bed, office space, clean bathroom, sleeper sofa, full kitchen and more.

The space
Nestled under a 100 yr old pecan tree just blocks from the Courthouse Square is the studio at 728 N elm (#104). The studio has a full kitchen with a Nespresso. Bed and bedding was chosen to ensure your comfort. The sleeper sofa with chaise and premium foam mattress was selected for the added convenience of staying with family or friends. Your home office is a cushioned built-in that is nestled next to a window which is perfect for zoom calls with USB port and surge protector. This office can double as a dining area. There is also a shared laundry with 1 other studio. You are near 4 excellent coffee shops (West Elm Coffee Shop, Jupiter House, Golden Boy, and The Mugg, but we added a Vertuo Nespresso (coffee or espresso) and some capsules in case you arrive needing a pick-me-up.

This historic, charming, and luxurious property is located in the heart of Denton, steps away from Courthouse on the Square. Enjoy easy, walking access to downtown Denton and UNT. This private suite is the entire first floor of The House on Hickory, featuring 2 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, a full kitchen and living room area for a total of around 1,050 square feet. Enjoy hardwood floors throughout and fully tiled, luxurious bathrooms.

The space
A historic property built in 1895, The House on Hickory features a total of (5) suites on the property. The entirety of Suite A is on the ground floor, Suites B and C occupy the second floor, and Suite D occupies the third floor. Suite E is the detached single family home on the property, which also houses the laundry room. Though an older property with the usual character like wooden, and sometimes creaky stairs, we really enjoyed breathing new life into this property through an extensive rehab process, and we can't wait to welcome you here!

The entirety of the suite is yours, as evidenced by the locking keypad on your suite door. The same code we provide you upon check-in will also get you in the main front door, and also functions on the keypad for access into the laundry on the rear of the property!
