Creekside is the perfect property for those that want some room to spread out. As you approach through the gate and take your first corner on the driveway you'll see the house setting near the edge of a bluff. The home is neat, modern and well stocked for your stay.

Go in, unload and get ready to play. The property has several smaller trails that are perfect for supervised children to explore. Search for the spring that appears out the side of a hill and disappears again into the ground. See if the kids can find the conjoined tree. A tree connected by a big root where one side is dead and the other flourishing. Find the fern gardens and take note how much cooler it is with the springs feeding the ferns water.

One thing you'll notice is the bridge across the creek, which incidentally never runs dry. Cross the creek and you're on a dirt road that loops or takes you to the lake which is approx. 7/10th's of a mile away. Of course you'll want to continue exploring the property before venturing away.
Walk up the steep hill or go back a ways and take the easy hill.....you'll come up near the deck that overlooks what one of our guests named "Fern Gulley". The walk back to the house area lights up at night, sitting on either of the two large decks is a purely a matter of choice.
There are almost two climate zones on this property. firstly you have the lower wet lands and then the drier upper woodlands where you'll actually find species of cacti. We have also been told by a number of bird enthusiast the viewing is quite impressive.

Creekside has room to store and turn a trailer on the "sound" coleche driveway.

B2 Ranch is a 1600 + acre working cattle ranch in Freestone County TX that consists of pastures, rangeland, woods and wetlands. It is located about 1.5 hours south of Dallas and 2 hours north of Houston. As a guest at B2 ranch you will have the opportunity to explore, hike, bike, kayak, canoe, fish, observe wildlife, or just relax. Also, the lake cabin is the only guest accommodation on the ranch, making it a true get away.

B2 Ranch lake cabin is a 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom cabin overlooking a 3 acre spring fed lake. The newly furnished cabin includes a king size bed, a pullout sofa, refrigerator with small freezer, microwave, tv with dvd player (no cable or satellite), and coffee maker with coffee. Linens, towels, soap, shampoo and conditioner are also included. A fire pit with cooking grill is located just outside the cabin as well as a charcoal grill. It does not include a stove or oven.

As part of your stay at B2 Ranch, you have access to 2 kayaks, a canoe and flat bottom boat along with paddles and life jackets. The lakes on the ranch are stocked with bass and open for fishing.

When staying at B2 Ranch you are free to explore and roam the ranch. There are miles of roads and trails where you can see an abundance of wildlife. Guests have access to the 1600+ acre ranch for most of the year. From October through January guests access may be limited to 200 acres that is immediately around the lake and cabin. Each of the 3 bedrooms features a queen bed with a memory foam mattress. Both bathrooms are equipped with a shower and tub. The home comes nicely furnished with 50" 4k Smart TVs and fireplace heaters in the living room and master bedroom, fully stocked kitchen, dishwasher, full size fridge, coffee bar, laundry room, outdoor seating around the fire pit, and BBQ grill.

Guest Access:
Large horseshoe drive for easy entrance and exit - perfect spot to park your RV (no electric or sewer connection available).

You will enjoy access to the entire cottage and outdoor areas.

The Neighborhood:
The cottage is located in the most convenient area in town for proximity to food (fast food and sit down restaurants are less than 5 minutes away), shopping (Walmart is les than 5 minutes in one direction and downtown vintage boutiques are less than 5 miles in the other direction), and the railroad.

Getting Around:
If you're planning on visiting Palestine, TX, you'll probably want a vehicle. The city doesn't have public transportation. Ubers are available, but not that plentiful.

Other Things to Note:
The cottage is suitable for up to 6 six, which can include a family of 6 or 3 couples.

In an effort to maintain a secure premises, the home is equipped with two exterior cameras (one on the front door and one in back above the deck). The cameras are ONLY on the exterior, and there are NO cameras on the interior.
