You can find our location through GPS by searching “Sierra Dome Escape” or upon booking, you will receive step by step directions. During your stay, you will have full access to Terlingua Ranch Lodge. There you can enjoy access to a Mountain View pool, cafe, and laundry room.

Please note: Terlingua Ranch Lodge is 15 miles away (26 minute drive) on an asphalt paved road. The last 3 miles are gravel only with a speed limit of 15 mph. 4-wheel drive vehicles recommended.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
Sierra Dome Escape is located in a natural desert environment, home to cacti and thorny vegetation. Guests are advised to exercise caution, as we are not responsible for any tire damage or injuries resulting from contact with natural desert flora.

The property is entirely powered by the sun, and our solar panels can only support what is already on site, plus your phone chargers and other low consuming devices. Keep in mind that on a stormy day, there will be less power available. In case of really bad weather (rare), there could be no power at all and therefore all amenities requiring electricity won’t work.

Cerca del Cielo has a gravel circular drive and private/dedicated parking outside the yurt.

No smoking in our tiny home please ! You will be charged an additional $100 if you decide to smoke in the home to cover cleaning expenses.

- "Slava is awesome, he let our girls sleep in a teepee next to our yurt one night. The area is close enough to the highway but still feels isolated and miles from the everything. The yurts are fantastic. Will definitely be coming back. Make sure you use Google maps, Apple Maps will take you to the ghost town" - "We truly made memories that will last us a lifetime here. My husband wanted to camp, I wanted to be somewhere comfortable. This place was the best of both worlds. You're on the side of a large hill giving you spectacular views & privacy while sleeping on a very comfortable, warm queen sized bed! The tent was surpringly spacious and we felt safe there. Honestly could not have been better! We both agreed this had been the most amazing and unique renting experience we have ever had! The night sky in this location is awe-inspiring we star gazed so long just admiring all the stars and the visible misty milky way- we even had the wonderful chance of seeing a HUGE comet go across the sky! (we will never forget that) Besides that, it is so close to the National Park and the Ghost Town which has good food options! The hosts are also very kind, friendly,and helpful with anything you need, you can tell making this experience was a labor of love for them. I cannot imagine a better stay . If there is availability - book now! This is a place that will go fast because everyone is soon to realize what a gem this. Helpful notes: The turn-in to the site is easy to miss, thankfully there's a turn around spot really close but what helped us was realizing the turn in is right before(parallel) 75 speed limit sign. The chickadee is a bird almost universally considered “cute” thanks to its oversized round head, tiny body, and curiosity about everything, including humans. The chickadee’s black cap and bib; white cheeks; gray back, wings, and tail; and whitish underside with buffy sides are distinctive. It has a habit of investigating people and everything else in its home territory. The Black-capped Chickadee hides seeds and other food items to eat later. Each item is placed in a different spot and the chickadee can remember thousands of hiding places. Every autumn Black-capped Chickadees allow brain neurons containing old information to die, replacing them with new neurons so they can adapt to changes in their social flocks and environment even with their tiny brains.

When you're ready to journey out from your spacious geodome, you'll find 17+ acres of forest to explore, complete with tall oak trees, singing birds, and surrounding farmland and animals. There are Quail and bees surrounding the farmhouse.
Our farm house sits at the front of the property while the geodome sits towards the middle, completely secluded by trees.
If you want to share your experience with more than the allotted guests, please note that we also have a glamping 5-star RV available on the property for booking as well! You may search for it on 4 different platforms, under the heading; PRIVATE HILLCOUNTRY GLAMPING RV or talk to the host. It is only a couple hundred feet through the woods and is also private, clean and well stocked.

Get away from the city, enjoy tent camping, under the stars, in a safe environment. Shady sites in the trees with a fire ring and picnic table at the sites. Limited campers allowed, and camping sites are about 100ft apart. The lake is only 1.5mi away at Shaffer Bend Recreation Area where there are hiking trails and access for fishing, kayaking, swimming. This is an LCRA park area which charges a day fee. Camping is primitive without electricity. There is a camp bathhouse with hot water, shower and composting toilet. There is no driving in the campsite area, parking is nearby and a cart is available for hauling your stuff.

The space
There is a picnic table and firepit at this site. A trash can is at the site, PLEASE dump your trash at the end of your stay. There is a dumpster outside the property gate 2 on the road side.

Guest access
We have 6.5 acres so there is plenty of space to roam around. Please be respectful of other guests that may be on the property. There is No driving in the camping area due to safety issues. Parking is at the front of the property and there are carts for you to haul your stuff.

Other things to note
There is not parking next to your tent site, as there are no roads in that area. You will have to carry your stuff to your site, or use our wagon to pull it from the parking lot.

Our RV Park has a beautiful location just 90 to 100 yards from the lake. Each of the 21 spaces have 4-way hookups with 30 and 50 AMP electricity, septic, and water. RV guests have complete use of the resort facilities: restrooms, hot showers, laundry, boat ramp, lighted fishing dock, horseshoes, volleyball, shuffleboard, washer pits, swings, picnic tables at each site, a large swimming pool, and an 18 hole miniature golf course.

- "Clean, Cozy and Comfortable, perfect accommodations for a couples get away. Wished the weather would have been better so we could have enjoyed the covered porch more and the outdoor spaces but we did enjoy our coffee sitting out on the porch listening to the birds and bundled up real good to take a stroll around the resort. It has to be one of the nicest RV resort I have ever seen before. Plenty of bath houses and laundry facilities. The Hummingbird Treehouse was the perfect spot for a couple of old folks to have a romantic weekend together. The Treehouse has everything you could need from a hot plate, microwave and a mini fridge with a nice size freezer compartment which is rare in a mini fridge. Big thick soft bath towels and a huge walk in shower and a remote control ceiling fan over the bed, it took us a minute to figure out there is a switch by the headboard you need to flip to get the remote to work for the ceiling fan. You can tell the owners are still adding more RV pad sites and a nice Community building or an event venue with a nice covered porch by the water, real curious to see what that building will be."

Welcome to The Nest, a cozy hideaway at Wanderin’ Star Farms. The Nest was created in response to our guests loving the original! This 1400+sf deck rises with multiple levels under huge live oaks for a fun getaway in the heart of Dripping Spring`s Fitzhugh District.
The upper deck has swing chairs with a propane fire pit, propane grill, and dining table. Hill country vibe `soaking trough` on lower deck. Inside is Tuft & Needle bed looking out the skylight, full bathroom with tub, coffee bar, kitchenette, Roku TV, bose sound, wifi, & work table.

The yurt is an actual wood-framed tent, and if you`ve heard of `glamping` (glamorous camping), that`s what this is! While the yurt is a great shelter from the sun and the wind and most effects of the elements, the structure is not air tight and is subject to some fluctuations in temperature (though it has a large mini split a/c and heater to mitigate the temps), wind noise and occasional bugs :). So just so we`re all clear, the yurt is a true glamping experience!

The AWESOME parts of staying in a yurt are that you can hear the birds singing first thing in the morning, you can hear the breeze in the tree branches, and you feel like you`re cheating nature a little as you awake in your cozy bed hearing the sounds of the hill country and watching the sunlight begin to beam in from the skylight dome!

The yurt has screened windows which can be zipped opened or closed. The top of the yurt is an acrylic dome skylight where most of the light comes in. Cedar french door frames the entrance.

Coffee bar area has whatever you need for your coffee preference: keurig brewer with included coffee pods, hot water kettle, and the fixins like cream, sugar, etc. Organic teas for the non-coffee folks :). R/O filtered water for brewing/drinking/cooking.

Yurt In The Trees 2 is located at Wanderin` Star Farms in Dripping Springs, Tx. The property is home to a handful of tiny homes, 2 yurts, a barndominium, and a pole barn venue space all on about 15 acres. The barn venue farm tables, swings, and fire ring (please ask before using), and playground are common areas shared among the property guests. There`s plenty of space to walk and hike around and visit the farm animals :).

Common areas have a 10pm curfew.

From the yurt, guests are welcome to venture down into the canyon (lower area of farm around creek) area of the farm and venue, which has a great kids area, pavilion (contact us to reserve), large fire ring, big swings, and great natural areas to explore. Please don`t go in the direction of the white barndominium or silver metal shop, and please watch for boundary signs and don`t cross any fences or closed gates. Refer to the map in the photos for reference, thank you!

Wanderin` Star Farms is located on Silver Creek Rd, between Dripping Springs and Bee Cave, TX, and has a gated entry. We share the road with Solaro Estate Winery and Prospect House wedding venue. Right around the corner on Fitzhugh to the west is Treaty Oak Distillery with Alice`s Restaurant, Abby Jane`s bakery and coffee shop, and Barton Springs Mill - all on the same property.

At the corner of RR12 & Fitzhugh there`s a little center with Route 12 Filling Station which is awesome for lunch and dinner, and has a splash pad for kids. Next to Route 12 is One Shot Distillery and Dripping Wings food trailer - both great!

Down Fitzhugh to the east a half mile or so is Fitzhugh Brewing and Kitchen - fantastic beers and amazing chef curated menu. Further east on Fitzhugh are Beerburg, Jester King Brewery and Kitchen, and several others. Such a fun area, all places are family friendly! Walking or biking on the roads beyond our little Silver Creek Rd can be tedious and dangerous, so we discourage it because the roads are very narrow and winding. We have the contact information for several local Uber/Lyft drivers with whom you can to pre-schedule rides, happy to pass on their contact!

* Please do not venture (east) toward white barn or metal shop. Feel free to explore down around the pavilion and swings area, kids area, the creek in the lower canyon area, and the front corrals.

The structural supports for the treehouses are intensely strong yet flexible. The flexibility allows slight movement of the cabin within the tree canopy if the canopy itself shifts sufficiently. You might feel a gentle rhythm from nature—but rest assured that the treehouse cabins, although elevated, are firmly anchored to the ground.

There is a fishing pond in the center of the property that is stocked with largemouth bass and sunfish. It is catch and release only right now. We also have a double pickle ball court on site.

Conveniently located to local area attractions, the cabin is only 15 minutes from Homestead Heritage Craft Village, Magnolia Silos, and Baylor University, to name a few.

With how secluded you feel, you'll forget you are just 20 minutes down a scenic road from all that Fredericksburg has to offer!

We have several rentals on the property, but each tent is private with their own space, trees, walkway and parking. Please be mindful of others and considerate of everyone's stay. We are always available for questions or assistance.

Being surrounded by nature you will occasionally encounter a pest! Despite our best efforts (and monthly pest control) a stray bug may make its way inside, especially if a door is left open.

Welcome to The Mockingbird treehouse Enjoy a peaceful retreat nestled among the Post Oak trees. Our resort is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but still just a step away from Magnolia, Homestead Heritage, and downtown. The Mockingbird offers a loft for an extra sleep area, or a cozy place to read or take a nap. Treehouse architecture integrated with nature’s architecture. Individual Wi-Fi connections in each cabin wall-mounted monitor.

As a bird, the Mockingbird has been called “the king of the song” since it can imitate more than 30 birdsongs in rapid succession. It is somewhat unclear why they possess this ability, but perhaps it is simply an overwhelming urge to sing.

If you feel an overwhelming urge to “get away from it all” for a rest, the Mockingbird treehouse is for you. It has two bedrooms to accommodate four guests. The master is downstairs with a king-size bed. The loft provides an extra sleeping area with a full-size bed, where you could snuggle up with a good book or just nap.

The chefs among you will appreciate the kitchen area supplied with utensils, cookware, hot plate, microwave, refrigerator, and Keurig beverage maker.

This campsite features a spacious 10 x 12 platform tent with a queen bed as well as a pop-up tent that can accommodate 4 additional campers. Campers must bring their own air mattresses/sleeping pads for the pop up tent. A picnic table, firepit, and two Adirondack chairs are also included.

Site A is a drive up site that can accommodate two vehicles. It is located approximately 100 feet from park restroom facilities with flush toilets. There is a potable water spigot located near the Site A parking spot, and another about 35 feet away at Site B. This site offers adequate privacy and is surrounded on three sites by trees and brush. Restrooms with shower facilities are located in four other locations throughout the park, about a mile from the site in either direction, and are available for Tentrr campers to use. The nearest restroom to the campsite does not have showers.

Camp in the piney woods of East Texas, approximately 80 miles north of Houston

Other Things to Note:
- Pack your own food, water, firewood, bedding, bug spray and flashlights
- There is no electricity, AC, or heater at your Tentrr site, pack accordingly
- Anything you pack in, you must pack out. This is "leave no trace" camping and all sites will be inspected for cleanliness and damages before the next camper
- All trash MUST be deposited in the designated trash receptacle that is labeled on the map. Please notes : If you do not follow this rule, you will be charged a cleaning fee of at least $50
- Pets are allowed. Please keep all pets on leashes(we recommend 6 ft), and DO NOT let your pets near or swim in any bodies of water.
- Please remember to respect and keep your distance from our wildlife in the park. Feeding any wildlife is prohibited. Be aware and watch all surrounding areas when going off trail.

Enjoy the lovely setting of this romantic spot in nature. Kick back and have a favorite beverage around the campfire. We have accommodations for fishing, just take a short drive to the back of the ranch to the pond. Pond is stocked with bluegill perch and bass... fun, fun, fun!
If you're a bird hunter, Dilley is known for it's white wing dove and quail. Just want to do some fun shooting, get some target practice in at our shooting target range.

The space
Our Luxury RV is next door to our camp house, where you'll find a cozy fire pit ready for enjoyable and relaxing sit with your family. The beds are comfortable and have easy access to outlets to recharge your devices.

Guest access
Guests have access to the RV and front sitting areas of the main camp house where you'll find available firewood and an outside grill. If you wish to grill over open fire there is a grate that swings over the fire pit. Grill utensils are available opon request. Guest also have access to the Ranch Pond for fishing and or swimming.

Other things to note
There are grocery and hardware stores within 5 minutes of the ranch. This is a South Texas Ranch and there are wild hogs, rabbits, lots of birds and some snakes to be aware of when walking the property.
