The Pearl Houseboat is a well-maintained, clean houseboat located at the end of Dock B with no houseboats on either side. It is quiet and nicely appointed with a ton of entertaining space, large kitchen with a commercial stove, bar, dining table and large living area. The back porch has both a propane barbeque and charcoal barbeque for your use. There are two bedrooms and full baths that can accommodate up to 9 people. This is a great economical houseboat in Venice Marina. It is a retired offshore living quarter covered into our Island Time @ Venice Marina. We have used this boat for years for fishing and duck hunting and have loved it. It is perfect for 1-4 guys or up to 6 people.

It has full over full and twin over twin bunk beds, pots, pans, plates, bowls, utensils, etc. that you need to have a great meal. The boat has a huge rear deck overlooking the water with a large charcoal grill, a 4ft fish cleaning table, a large ice machine, and much more.

The Summertime Houseboat Oasis offers an experience similar to “glamping.” It has some modern conveniences and decor, but is simply a humble houseboat on the bayou. More similar to a RV than a hotel or yacht, it is for people willing to embrace a slower pace and down to earth accommodations. It is capable of sleeping 6 people comfortably. The exterior of our boat is weathered and rustic and prone to green algae - a result of the environment of the Bayou.

Kitchen: The houseboat is equipped with a kitchen that comes with utensils, cookware, and appliances for preparing meals.

Roku TV: Guests have access to a Roku TV, allowing streaming of TV shows and movies.

A/C and Heat: The houseboat is equipped with air conditioning and heating systems

Bedroom One:
Queen Mattress: The first bedroom features a queen-sized bed.
Guests staying in this bedroom have private access to a small deck overlooking the bayou.

Bedroom Two:
Bunk Bed Full/Twin: The second bedroom is furnished with a bunk bed, with a full-sized mattress on the bottom bunk and a twin-sized mattress on the top bunk.

Standing Shower: The second bathroom has a toilet, sink and standing shower.

Bedroom Three:
Bunk Bed Full/Twin: The third bedroom also features a bunk bed, with a full-sized mattress on the bottom bunk and a twin-sized mattress on the top bunk.

Additional Sleeping:
In addition to the three bedrooms, the living room area provides a pullout sleeper sofa, which can accommodate two guests.

GUEST ACCESS - Guests have access to our entire three-bedroom boat, including the upper deck, hot tub, and kayaks located in our front lawn, but excluding the locked supply closet in the main bedroom and all below deck septic/power crawl spaces.

All other neighboring boats and yards are privately owned properties, many with full-time residents and are off-limits to guests at The Summertime.

NAVIGATION - The Summertime is permanently moored at the dock. In the case that it must be moved, a licensed captain has to be hired. There are two kayaks available to use for exploration of the bayou. These are included in the reservation.

EARLY ARRIVAL - This may be offered Is offered depending on availability.

PARKING - There is space for 2 cars on the gravel area by the road. Please don't park in front of other boats/properties and don't drive up on the grass. It can become soft and muddy when it rains and car tires leave ruts in our lawn.

HOUSEKEEPING: Your cleaning fee goes directly to the support of small, local businesses that we employ to thoroughly clean and disinfect our home between each stay as well as to a local company that maintains the cleanliness and chlorine levels of the hot tub. The cleaning team spends 4-5 hours preparing the house for your stay between each guest. They take before and after pictures to document the cleanliness and condition of the houseboat. This is for your safety and ours. If any issues are noted upon arrival, the property manager will be happy to assist resolve any/all issues.

The Summertime: The houseboat is like a tiny home on the water with some fun amenities. Definitely a bucket list experience! Please understand that it is more difficult to service due to its more remote location and unique set up. We work diligently to upkeep it. We hope you enjoy the adventure!

SOUNDS: While staying at The Summertime, you’ll hear bird calls, an occasional dog barking, boats going by and our septic system and HVAC systems which turn on and off throughout the day and night. White noise machines are in each bedroom and available to use if desired.

ELECTRICITY: During extreme weather or electrical overload, the houseboat’s power can be affected. If the houseboat’s power trips during your stay, please contact us for help to reset the controls prior to attempting to use the breaker panel so we can avoid any mistakes leading to blown fuses.

TOILETS: Our septic system is more delicate than a standard house’s and requires weekly maintenance. It is imperative that nothing other than toilet paper is flushed down the toilet and it would be incredibly helpful if even toilet paper could also be thrown away rather than flushed whenever possible. This will help prevent any back ups to our septic system.

NEIGHBORS: This is a peaceful boat slip with friendly neighbors. Some live here year around. Please be mindful of our neighbors in regards to parking and outdoor commotion. All neighboring properties and boats are off limits to guests at The Summertime. Disruptive noise, outdoor parties and outdoor music louder than standard speaking volume are not permitted out of respect for our neighbors.

HOT TUB: Please leave the top on the hot tub when not in use to maintain its heat. It is available March through November and is checked and maintained for cleanliness between each stay. Guests are permitted to adjust the temperature to their liking, but not to change any other settings or turn it off because it can take several hours to correct. **IMPORTANT** Tampering with the hot tub settings can disable it from being able to be used during your stay. Please reach out if you need help working it. We want you to enjoy this amenity!

YARD: Our friendly neighbors help maintain our front yard.

PETS: We love pets. Please pick up after your pet! Please do not leave your pet in our home while away unless you’re able to crate your pet. Please keep your pet on a leash when in the front yard.

PESTS: There are a lot of bugs in Louisiana and bug season is year around! Frequently storms blow through and the exterior of the boat will get covered in washed up bugs and debris. If this happens during your stay, please understand that our housekeeping team is constantly working on removing this debris, but it keeps coming back! Bugs do inadvertently come in through open doors and blow into the hot tub on occasion when the top is off. Please keep food put away and doors closed. The house is thoroughly checked for pests between stays, but experiencing wildlife, including in the form of bugs, is to be expected on the bayou.

CELLPHONE RECEPTION/WIFI: We provide wifi for your stay, but please bear in mind that during your stay, you might experience low cell phone reception and occasional slow Wi-Fi due to the remote location. That's sometimes the trade-off for escaping the hustle and bustle and immersing in nature's beauty in our remote location.
Kitchen: We stocked the kitchen with utensils and cookware. Please enjoy.

BBQ/ALUMINUM FOIL: We have a Green Egg charcoal grill. While we don’t provide charcoal, many guests leave leftovers behind that you’re welcome to use. Please use aluminum foil when grilling to ensure a clean surface.

KAYAKS/LIFE JACKETS: While we didn't purchase our kayaks or life jackets specifically for guest use and cannot guarantee their condition, we are happy to share them! Please use at your own risk. The owners and management team are not liable for accidents or injury associated with their use. Life jackets are available on the upper deck of The Summertime and come in various sizes and conditions. For the best fit, bringing your own is encouraged. Please return the kayaks to their stand after use. In the event that they are left out, we do charge $25 which is the fee our handyman charges to come out and put them back.

LAUNDRY: There is no washer and dryer available on our houseboat at this time. There are laundry options in town including a pick up/drop off service. Please use dark towels only for cleaning makeup in order to not stain our white towels. Previously stained towels have been washed and cut into cleaning rags (located under the kitchen sink and available for use.)

QUIET HOURS: Please be respectful of our neighbors, specially due to their close proximity. Please observe quiet hours between 8 PM and 8 AM.

GAMES/PUZZLES/BOOKS: Please enjoy. Please also put back away nicely so others can enjoy.

SECURITY SYSTEM/CAMERAS: Per our listing, we have two cameras onboard the houseboat. One is on the upper deck facing the bayou. The other is on the upper deck facing down to the yard and front door. These are for our safety and yours and to allow us the ability to watch for the arrival of packages, housekeeping and maintenance and to make sure our necessary systems are functioning. Intentionally tampering with or disabling the cameras could result in extra fees necessary for our handyman to come restorate connection and/or cancellation of your reservation without refund.

FISHING POLES: We do not purchase fishing poles to provide for guest use. We’ve left our own fishing poles which we are willing to share, but they are not top quality. Occasionally guests will leave theirs behind for others to use as well, but we’re unable to guarantee their condition. If you’re really looking forward to fishing while on vacation at the houseboat, please consider bringing or buying your own gear for best results. There are several locations where gear and bate can be purchased.
Please know that we are easygoing and aim to please, but have to have rules in place for the protection of ourselves, our neighbors, and our guests.

The boat sits about 30’ from the river- you can view the river right from your back deck & enjoy cooking a meal in this self-contained boat with everything you need for a relaxing stay.

Cocodrie Camp Boat Rental is at the very end of the world where peace begins. We have the absolute best fishing grounds and the best seafood here in the South. Launching your own fishing boat is super close, or if you want to book a fishing charter trip there are many to choose from. If you don’t want to cook, Coco Marina restaurant is directly across the street of the camp boat. There is also live music on the weekends at the local marina. The wildlife here in Cocodrie is very interesting. You never know if you will see an alligator, a porpoise, a family of otters swimming with the current, or an eagle flying close by. Regardless if you are passing through or planning a long vacation to South Louisiana, this is an RVers spot to experience bayou life UP CLOSE and/or use it as your launching pad to explore the upper and lower bayou and river parishes.
Location is 5 to 10 minutes from Houma and approximately 60 minutes to New Orleans which host many attractions and great places to wine & dine. Or, take a short 15-minute drive to other natural bayous in the area. We will point you in the right direction for sure. If you're wanting a chartered fishing trip, we can recommend folks in the area (recommend booking ahead).
The RV site has 3 – 50 amp RV outlets, 3 sewerage taps and 3 water spigots, trash bin and boat launch on site. Price for stay is for one PRIVATE WATERFRONT RV SPACE (so please bring your RV). No onsite service building, showers or restrooms.

The space
I'm not going to fluff this all up and wow you with how I promise you a 5 star experience, rambling on about all the fabulous amenities we offer.. (sure, we've got them), because that's not what you're excited about! You get to stay on a 2 story houseboat!! It has a full size bed, 2 small single beds (bunks), a twin air mattress... and the couch! Aside from the obvious floating in water experience you'll be doing, you can fish and hang out and relax or kayak! We've got you covered on most items... just check with me if you want to know something specific!

Guest access
Full access to everything except the top-level deck of the houseboat, for safety reasons. You are allowed to explore the property.. from the bus to the blue barn and down to the river. Please stay within the property zone.

Other things to note
We have poured our hearts into creating an experience that is as perfect as possible, but as the very nature of a houseboat presents undeniable challenges - particularly those associated with the realities of life on the river - like a wobbly step or a rogue wasp. If you're someone who revels in unique experiences and adapts well to different circumstances, this could be the perfect stay for you.

Parking: We provide on-site parking for 2 regular-sized vehicles. Contact me before booking with any questions.
(Please stay to the left of the garage, in the marked, parking space area. Do not park in front of, or block the garage. Our neighbor is a helpful, kind man... but his fuse has been shortened on this matter!)

Accessibility: It's important to note that during months when the water level is low, accessing the houseboat involves navigating two sets of stairs. If you're comfortable with 50 steep steps and you can safely manage your luggage, kids, and/or pets, on them also, then come on aboard.

Pet Policy: A $35 pet fee applies should you wish to bring along your furry friends.

Connectivity: An important thing to remember - and something we unfortunately have no power over - is that WiFi is not available due to levee and OSCHA requirements. The silver lining? The cell service is excellent for hotspots, providing an alternative means of staying connected.
