The shower curtain is not long enough to reach the top of the tub so water leaked all over the floor every time we used it. And the entrance door code was changed 3 times before we first entered so we kept getting text alerts about a new entry code, which was a little confusing. Otherwise, the stay was just fine!"

Just renovated. Well-appointed light filled two bedroom historic cottage in a lovely quiet uptown residential neighborhood. New furnishings, bedding, kitchen appliances and supplies. This is your NOLA home away from home. Located three blocks from the St. Charles Avenue Streetcar, five blocks from Freret Street restaurant row, five miles from the French Quarter, and a mile from Tulane and Loyola.
THE SPACE:
The cottage was once the horse stables for a nearby plantation. We lovingly renovated it into a two bedroom apartment in 2017. It's located behind our home, and is accessed through a private gated entrance and an 80 foot long landscaped pathway to the front door. With a fully equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and private entrance, its perfect for long term guests and is kid friendly.

We are so proud to introduce you to the JazzNest! This is a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom space in the heart of uptown New Orleans, one block from the best shops and restaurants on Magazine. The home has just been completely renovated and is the quintessential historic double shotgun with 12ft ceilings and celebrates all the charm of the great city of New Orleans!
There are 4 grocery stores within walking distance, 2 large ones, 1 smaller Whole Foods, and a boutique grocery called Zara's. There is a convenience store 1 block away on Magazine and a neighborhood coffee shop (Cherry Coffee Shop) just around the corner that faces a public dog park, a children's park and jungle gym, and a baseball field. ALL of this is within ONE block of the house! There is plenty of room for street parking right in front of the house and the area is very safe and family friendly.
As are most short term rentals in New Orleans (due to the city's short term rental laws) this is one side of our own double however the space is completely private with its own private entrance, side yard, and patio area.
There are two large bedrooms on opposite ends of the house, one with an attached full bath and one with a full bath adjacent and the living area and kitchen are in between. The home is full of New Orleans decor and a short 5 block walk to the heart of the Mardi Gras parades on Napoleon. There is plenty of parking in front of the house. The home has its own washer and dryer, comfortable beds and bedding, smart tv's, and wifi. There is a full refrigerator, induction stove, dishwasher, toaster oven, and all of the accessories needed to make this your home away from home. If you need to borrow a crock pot or pressure cooker just ask and we are glad to oblige! Outside you have a private entrance with a fully fenced (8ft) side yard with a propane grill, two tiered deck, and string lights. We welcome well behaved pets for an additional $50 cleaning fee.
** Note ** - We know that New Orleans means having a good time and we are here for you to do just that. The space is very private and noise is rarely an issue however we do ask that noise be kept to a minimum outside after 9:30pm in respect of our neighbors. The homes in New Orleans are very close together and short term rentals are on a very tight leash when it comes to nuisance laws. You are free to use the front porch of our home after 9:30pm but still ask that noise be kept at a conversation level.

And, it’s just a block from Magazine Street, which has a million restaurants and shops, plus a Whole Foods and several amazing art galleries. We took a 10-15 minute Uber ride to the French Quarter several times during the week stay at Jazz Nest. It’s small, but perfect for a couple - or two - with two good sized bedrooms and two bathrooms. Very attractive, private space in the upstairs of a camelback in uptown New Orleans. One block from bustling Magazine St.; a few blocks from Napoleon and St. Charles Ave. Very safe and walkable neighborhood, very close to great bars, restaurants, parks, and shopping. A lovely landscaped backyard and deck available to tenants, as well as a barbecue grill. Our neighbors have an open (un-fenced) backyard adjacent to our home. Pets are welcome to enjoy this area. We ask that you use bags (provided) to pick up after your pets as our neighbors occasionally use this space as well.

Upon check-out, allow us to take care of everything for you. We will handle the dishes, trash, linens etc. Our only request is that enjoy your final morning with us and let us know when you have departed.

Two blocks off Magazine St and a stone’s throw to Jefferson Avenue, this space was a neighborhood corner store from its original construction in 1910 through sometime in the 1990’s. Short walk to Whole Foods, Guy’s & Domilises’s Po-Boys, Clancy’s, Patois and the best of Magazine St shopping. Quick Uber ride to the Quarter, Audubon Park, Tulane and Jazz Fest.

This is a large and spacious apartment (approx. 1000 sqft), with one separate bedroom and a private entrance direct to the sidewalk. It is located in the front, ground floor, of a quiet corner. Self check-in with a keyless lock.

NEW LISTING (April 2023) Newly refinished apartment is full of natural light and offers access to both the front porch and our garden & pool oasis in the back yard. Both bedrooms in this traditional New Orleans shotgun home are fully separated by a hallway and doors for privacy. We are steps from Magazine St and one block from Whole Foods, shopping, cafes and restaurants. In addition, we are approximately a mile from Audubon Park and Tulane.

There are 11’ ceilings throughout (with a 19’ vaulted ceiling in living room), original heart pine floors, a front porch, a garden of citrus trees, a salt water pool, and a poolside seating area. In addition, we offer one off-street parking spot on our property.

The house is located within the first block off of Magazine Street, in an exceptionally popular area boasting unique boutiques, amazing restaurants and coffee shops!

There are two bedrooms: one king bedroom and one queen bedroom. Both beds offer brand new pressure-relief hybrid mattresses, luxury high count cotton sheets, and down-alternative pillows.

There are two full bathrooms. The first bathroom is accessed off the hallway. The second bathroom is ensuite (within the king bedroom).

8. Please do not use face towels to remove makeup, it damages the towels. Makeup towels are provided for you.

9. If the space is left excessively dirty, $50 will be charged for each additional hour of cleaning required. Removal of bodily fluids will result in a charge of $150. Glitter cleanup will result in a charge of $100.

10. This home does not allow pets. Unauthorized pets will result in an additional $250 fine.

The house is cozy with each room having a smart TV. The beds are all memory foam but not too soft.

The downstairs has a master bedroom with attached bathroom. Upstairs has 3 bedrooms, one large bathroom with a tub and shower. Their is a den between all the rooms with a dedicated work space. The den also has a pullout couch and a smart TV.

The laundry room is also located upstairs.

Top and bottom of the stairs has custom made wood gates that lock for kids safety.

The Oschner Main Campus hospital is located with 12 minutes for those visiting for medical reasons or traveling nurses.

Other things with 10 minutes of the house is the annual Zurich Classic, Nola Motor Sports Speedway, and Elmwood shopping center.

Although they have a permit to operate, they have to follow their strict no parties policies
- POSSIBLE SITE VISIT INSPECTION: Due to the short-term rental ban in Westwego, Fire Marshals are required to perform on-site visits, regardless if guest(s) are present. The owners may need to let them step inside the property during the day while guests are in residence if requested
