This original cajun style shotgun home is located on Belle River in Pierre Part, LA. It's on 70' of beautiful water front property and is approximately 200' deep. It's down a private road in a quiet area surrounded by other camps. It's a great place to stay, very peaceful, relaxing and quiet outside. Has all the amenities of home. Numerous opportunities for adventure may be available, depending on the season. This two story lake house is not just on the water. It is out over the water. The fishermen are going to love fishing from all four sides of this lake house. Locally known as a “CAMP”..... not sleek, not rustic. This camp is comfortable and perfect for family and group gathering as well as fishing and hunting excursions. The four-sided boardwalk surrounding the camp features easy access to the water for swimming and easy in and out boat access. There is a picnic table, boat slip, fish and game cleaning station, and a bathroom. The porch is screened and has a big swing for lazy mornings and quiet evenings. The first floor has a kitchen and dining area. The kitchen is completely furnished. The second floor includes a deck for viewing breath taking sunsets, a large TV game room with bunk beds, a master bedroom, and a full bath with washer and dryer.
Lake Verret lies inside the Atchafalaya Basin, the largest natural swamp in North America. Just 6 miles from Pierre Part, home of the legendary alligator hunter Troy Landry, made famous by the History Channel's “Swamp People”. Lake Verret is surrounded by 100 year old Bald Cypress trees, laden with flowing Spanish moss, conveniently located just off Highway 1 near Shell beach. The lake is home to alligators, Bald Eagles, Osprey, Blue Herons a wide variety of water fowl. This ancient lake is full of Large Mouth Bass, Blue Gill, Sunfish, Catfish and Crappie; known here as “SAC-A-LAIT. Freshwater Drum as large as a man has been caught from the dock of this camp!

The camp was perfect, beautiful surroundings with beautiful wildlife. The camp has everything you need. And Toni's treats were a very nice plus. I cant say enough about Allen hes a real gentleman, he took us out for the best fishing trip we've ever been on and we caught loads of fish, and saw so many gators. Allen even caught a 35-40 catfish it was something to see, when we got back he cleaned them and bagged them for us, and he cooked some of what we caught for us for supper, not only can he fish he can really cook.It was delicious!!! We have regularly stayed between Baton Rouge and New Orleans over the past 16 months, 3 trips, so we could visit LSU and Bourbon St with about the same travel distance. It was my goal to make it to Pierre Part to see if I could get a glimpse of Troy Landry, king of the swamp. When I spoke to Rick I found out that his family was related, what was the chances of that! Rick was extremely hospitable and the property was everything that it was posted to be. Rick went out of his way to help me with anything that I had questions on in the area even though he was on vacation somewhere himself. Property was awesome. My son fished on the dock, alligators swam by and boaters were very nice as well waving and wishing us a good day. The "camp" is very nice on the inside and with it being 100+ degrees daily I was worried being a "camp" how warm it would end up being. That house was so comfortable and with the back screened porch having two fans it provided my wife a place to work on the computer while we stayed cool and watch T.V. We hope to be back over the course of my daughters stay at LSU and the Phillips camp is definitely on our list of places to return to."

This beautiful home was built in 1918 on Belle River, LA. The house was built out of virgin cypress from the Atchafalaya Basin swamp. The original owner of the house had a sawmill in which he cut his own lumber to build the house. Since then it has been remodeled on the inside, while keeping it's original look. The outside still has it's original cypress wood from when it was first built. However, it has been painted. It has a front porch with a view of the river along with a pier directly across the street. The house also has an added sunroom which looks into a cypress swamp. It has a fully furnished kitchen, linens, washer and dryer, internet and cable TV. The home is located in Pierre Part, LA home of Troy Landry from the hit show Swamp People. The house is located about 1.5 miles from Troy's morning hangout, Duffy's. It also overlooks Belle River and is approximately 2 miles from accessing the Atchafalaya Basin and Lake Verret.

The Summertime Houseboat Oasis offers an experience similar to “glamping.” It has some modern conveniences and decor, but is simply a humble houseboat on the bayou. More similar to a RV than a hotel or yacht, it is for people willing to embrace a slower pace and down to earth accommodations. It is capable of sleeping 6 people comfortably. The exterior of our boat is weathered and rustic and prone to green algae - a result of the environment of the Bayou.

Kitchen: The houseboat is equipped with a kitchen that comes with utensils, cookware, and appliances for preparing meals.

Roku TV: Guests have access to a Roku TV, allowing streaming of TV shows and movies.

A/C and Heat: The houseboat is equipped with air conditioning and heating systems

Bedroom One:
Queen Mattress: The first bedroom features a queen-sized bed.
Guests staying in this bedroom have private access to a small deck overlooking the bayou.

In addition to the three bedrooms, the living room area provides a pullout sleeper sofa, which can accommodate two guests.

GUEST ACCESS - Guests have access to our entire three-bedroom boat, including the upper deck, hot tub, and kayaks located in our front lawn, but excluding the locked supply closet in the main bedroom and all below deck septic/power crawl spaces.

All other neighboring boats and yards are privately owned properties, many with full-time residents and are off-limits to guests at The Summertime.

NAVIGATION - The Summertime is permanently moored at the dock. In the case that it must be moved, a licensed captain has to be hired. There are two kayaks available to use for exploration of the bayou. These are included in the reservation.

EARLY ARRIVAL - This may be offered Is offered depending on availability.

PARKING - There is space for 2 cars on the gravel area by the road. Please don't park in front of other boats/properties and don't drive up on the grass. It can become soft and muddy when it rains and car tires leave ruts in our lawn.

HOUSEKEEPING: Your cleaning fee goes directly to the support of small, local businesses that we employ to thoroughly clean and disinfect our home between each stay as well as to a local company that maintains the cleanliness and chlorine levels of the hot tub. The cleaning team spends 4-5 hours preparing the house for your stay between each guest. They take before and after pictures to document the cleanliness and condition of the houseboat. This is for your safety and ours. If any issues are noted upon arrival, the property manager will be happy to assist resolve any/all issues.

The Summertime: The houseboat is like a tiny home on the water with some fun amenities. Definitely a bucket list experience! Please understand that it is more difficult to service due to its more remote location and unique set up. We work diligently to upkeep it. We hope you enjoy the adventure!

SOUNDS: While staying at The Summertime, you’ll hear bird calls, an occasional dog barking, boats going by and our septic system and HVAC systems which turn on and off throughout the day and night. White noise machines are in each bedroom and available to use if desired.

ELECTRICITY: During extreme weather or electrical overload, the houseboat’s power can be affected. If the houseboat’s power trips during your stay, please contact us for help to reset the controls prior to attempting to use the breaker panel so we can avoid any mistakes leading to blown fuses.

TOILETS: Our septic system is more delicate than a standard house’s and requires weekly maintenance. It is imperative that nothing other than toilet paper is flushed down the toilet and it would be incredibly helpful if even toilet paper could also be thrown away rather than flushed whenever possible. This will help prevent any back ups to our septic system.

NEIGHBORS: This is a peaceful boat slip with friendly neighbors. Some live here year around. Please be mindful of our neighbors in regards to parking and outdoor commotion. All neighboring properties and boats are off limits to guests at The Summertime. Disruptive noise, outdoor parties and outdoor music louder than standard speaking volume are not permitted out of respect for our neighbors.

HOT TUB: Please leave the top on the hot tub when not in use to maintain its heat. It is available March through November and is checked and maintained for cleanliness between each stay. Guests are permitted to adjust the temperature to their liking, but not to change any other settings or turn it off because it can take several hours to correct. **IMPORTANT** Tampering with the hot tub settings can disable it from being able to be used during your stay. Please reach out if you need help working it. We want you to enjoy this amenity!

YARD: Our friendly neighbors help maintain our front yard.

PETS: We love pets. Please pick up after your pet! Please do not leave your pet in our home while away unless you’re able to crate your pet. Please keep your pet on a leash when in the front yard.

PESTS: There are a lot of bugs in Louisiana and bug season is year around! Frequently storms blow through and the exterior of the boat will get covered in washed up bugs and debris. If this happens during your stay, please understand that our housekeeping team is constantly working on removing this debris, but it keeps coming back! Bugs do inadvertently come in through open doors and blow into the hot tub on occasion when the top is off. Please keep food put away and doors closed. The house is thoroughly checked for pests between stays, but experiencing wildlife, including in the form of bugs, is to be expected on the bayou.

CELLPHONE RECEPTION/WIFI: We provide wifi for your stay, but please bear in mind that during your stay, you might experience low cell phone reception and occasional slow Wi-Fi due to the remote location. That's sometimes the trade-off for escaping the hustle and bustle and immersing in nature's beauty in our remote location.
Kitchen: We stocked the kitchen with utensils and cookware. Please enjoy.

BBQ/ALUMINUM FOIL: We have a Green Egg charcoal grill. While we don’t provide charcoal, many guests leave leftovers behind that you’re welcome to use. Please use aluminum foil when grilling to ensure a clean surface.

KAYAKS/LIFE JACKETS: While we didn't purchase our kayaks or life jackets specifically for guest use and cannot guarantee their condition, we are happy to share them! Please use at your own risk. The owners and management team are not liable for accidents or injury associated with their use. Life jackets are available on the upper deck of The Summertime and come in various sizes and conditions. For the best fit, bringing your own is encouraged. Please return the kayaks to their stand after use. In the event that they are left out, we do charge $25 which is the fee our handyman charges to come out and put them back.

LAUNDRY: There is no washer and dryer available on our houseboat at this time. There are laundry options in town including a pick up/drop off service. Please use dark towels only for cleaning makeup in order to not stain our white towels. Previously stained towels have been washed and cut into cleaning rags (located under the kitchen sink and available for use.)

QUIET HOURS: Please be respectful of our neighbors, specially due to their close proximity. Please observe quiet hours between 8 PM and 8 AM.

GAMES/PUZZLES/BOOKS: Please enjoy. Please also put back away nicely so others can enjoy.

SECURITY SYSTEM/CAMERAS: Per our listing, we have two cameras onboard the houseboat. One is on the upper deck facing the bayou. The other is on the upper deck facing down to the yard and front door. These are for our safety and yours and to allow us the ability to watch for the arrival of packages, housekeeping and maintenance and to make sure our necessary systems are functioning. Intentionally tampering with or disabling the cameras could result in extra fees necessary for our handyman to come restorate connection and/or cancellation of your reservation without refund.

FISHING POLES: We do not purchase fishing poles to provide for guest use. We’ve left our own fishing poles which we are willing to share, but they are not top quality. Occasionally guests will leave theirs behind for others to use as well, but we’re unable to guarantee their condition. If you’re really looking forward to fishing while on vacation at the houseboat, please consider bringing or buying your own gear for best results. There are several locations where gear and bate can be purchased.
Please know that we are easygoing and aim to please, but have to have rules in place for the protection of ourselves, our neighbors, and our guests.

- "We stayed here with our family and really enjoyed it. First, it was very clean. Nice screened in patio. We enjoyed the dock and being able to fish right off the dock. We had our boat and it was super easy to get out to the bayou, but we fished a lot just outside the neighborhood and caught there. The owner lives across the canal so would be available if you need anything. We didn’t, but met them when they came over to make sure the garbage can got put out and they are super nice. - "I stayed with several of my friends for a week and I must say, the property was exactly as described. This was one of the best times we've had! The pictures didn't do it justice! We even had a bowl of fruit and wine as a welcome! Loved It! Would definitely stay here again!" - "To get to the parking area in the back of the house, you need to drive through the yard on the right side of the house from the main road (there is a slight bit of driveway entrance there). There is a ditch that runs across the front yard, but there is a culvert on that side that will allow you to drive to the back. I was looking for an email with the door code and instructions when I should have been looking for a text. Follow the instructions for the lock regardless of any extra beeps you may hear. They will work. The extra beeping threw me for a loop at first. We used the two bedrooms out of three with large beds. The beds were comfortable and caused no sleep issues. This house is close to a main road in town, but neither of us were bothered by road noise. The back patio is roomy and a nice place to hang out if you want to spend some time outside. The living room was plenty roomy for the two of us to spread out to enjoy movies during our down time. We did not use the kitchen, but it appeared that utensils and other cooking equipment were fairly sparse. The parking area behind the house was well lit and the house sits on a large lot with a lot of open space around it. This helps with the feeling of security of the house and vehicles. Overall, I would stay here again if/when the need arises."

The Cajun Queen is completely renovated, new color scheme, luxury touches, full kitchen, lux bathroom, separate children's bedroom, screened in sun room with a direct view to your private bayou scene. A welcoming walkway from the sunroom leads you directly to the deck with a breathtaking view of mature cypress trees lining the outer river bank bordering a peaceful scenic bayou floating by in front of you.
NOTE: we do not advocate swimming in the bayou! Bring your boat if you like! Or we will provide details on where to rent.
We do love to fish off our private deck and hope you will too. Adults & children.
Guest access
You have your own private entrance, keyless entry. Your code is emailed to you the morning of your arrival.
Door codes are active at check in time of 4:00 pm unless otherwise agreed upon.

We do require a brief Rental Agreement which will be emailed to you after you book your dates. You can read and sign it electronically. Once we receive the Rental Agreement, you will start receiving emails with all the directions and information about your room, including the door code.

Guest have a large parking area in front of camp able to accomodate many vehicles, boats or jetskis. A public boat ramp is a few hundred feet down the road for launching.

Two burner stove and gas grill on back deck is provided with propane for cooking. The private pier is located directly across lakeview street straight across from the camp. The camp sits across the street from the lake!
Note: There are alligators, snakes, lizards, insects and other swamp animals that can wonder around the property.

"My Sunshine on the Bay" is a beautifully restored cottage built between 1940 and 1950. The home was well maintained through the years which kept most of its original features intact.

It's located in a quiet community on Pierre Part Bay just 2 minutes from Lake Verret. Great area for all water sports and fishing ! There is a boat launch and bait shop steps away,. Relax on the swing by the bay and watch eagles, pelicans and other wildlife feeding nearby or bring your bike and tour the area.

My Sunshine cottage has 3 bedrooms and 1 bath. We have a full kitchen (sorry no dishwasher), living room, sunroom and laundry room. Outside area consist of a cozy front and back porch and an area by the bay for swinging, fishing and relaxing. Plenty of space to park a fishing boat in the driveway or keep it docked by the floating pier at the bay site. The back yard area is fenced and has plenty space to relax.

This original cajun style shotgun home is located on Belle River in Pierre Part, LA. It's on 70' of beautiful water front property and is approximately 200' deep. It's down a private road in a quiet area surrounded by other camps. It's a great place to stay, very peaceful, relaxing and quiet outside. Has all the amenities of home. I deal with all my guests directly since I am always close by.

The space
Top floor features full kitchen with a granite island bar that seats 4 that connects to living area with 2 cozy, leather recliners that face the fireplace and flat screen TV. Walk past the living area and you'll find a cute sunroom overlooking the bayou. This room features a sitting area and extra dining space. The upstairs features 3 bedrooms: a master suite with an attached bathroom and whirlpool tub, a secondary bedroom with a queen sized bed, and a loft room with 2 single beds. This top floor also an additional full bathroom and separate laundry room.
The bottom level features a wrap around porch equipped with picnic table, bbq pit, porch swing, bonus outdoor half-bath, and outdoor sink for cooking. Steps away you'll find the private pier equipped with a fish-cleaning station, and outdoor fire pit.
Venture indoors to find a comfortable living area, a full kitchen that seats 7, a foosball table, 2 bedrooms, and 1 bathroom. Primary downstairs bedroom has a king sized bed, and the secondary bedroom features a full-sized bunk bed. Downstairs also features a stacked washer and dryer for guest's convenience.
