We were placed in a beautiful suite. It was so spacious! Flat screen television in the den area and bedroom. HUGE bathroom. Everything was incredibly comfortable. We loved having the full sized refrigerator and king bed. WiFi was easy to sign on to and worked perfectly. Jacuzzi tubs are a huge bonus. Breakfast was incredible!!! So SO yummy. There are two twin size trundle beds and one twin sofa bed allowing a total of 5 sleeping area. There is a dining table and fully equipped kitchen. There is a full bathroom with a small walk-in shower. There are several common areas, an enclosed carport, yard and dock. Parking is limited to 4 vehicles and is shared with the second floor guest. There is a gas grill that is shared by all. The private dock is for guest use only and can handle two boats at a time.

There is a brand new washer and dryer on site. We have two 65 inch tvs and three 50 inch tvs incase you have a ball game or a show that you just can't miss. We have loved taking our kids here for some laidback fun! It is a short drive to local grocery and not far to Jefferson Parish for some great restaurants. A fishing haven! The House is on a private canal leading directly into Bayou Barataria. You can fish right off the dock in the back of the house. The dock is a great place to have your fishing charter pick you up. If you have a boat, there is a ramp located directly across the street at Joe’s Landing (for a minimum fee). Joe’s also offers bait, tackle, gas, ice & convenience store items. Then you can tie up the boat at the back of the house for the duration of your stay. The dock can accommodate 2-3 boats. The City of New Orleans is about an hour away. There you can eat at great restaurants, visit museums, and listen to some amazing local music. Don’t want to go to the city? The huge, covered space down under the house is equipped with sitting areas, gas grill and gas griddle for your use. Directly adjacent is a large greenspace for family fun. You can just sit back and enjoy the slow pace of the bayou, eat at one of the local restaurants in Lafitte, or visit hiking trails in the Jean Lafitte National Park. Nearby Park De Families has picnic area, play equipment and splash pad for the younger ones. If you need a break from cooking, some of the local restaurants will cook your catch for you, after you clean it.

- "Nice place to stay. Plenty of room for 10 people (we had 6 but plenty of other room). Right on water with boat slip and fire pit. That’s mostly user error though. Haha The house was really clean and had plenty of space! We did have a little trouble with spiders downstairs, but that’s more of a “living near water outside of the city” thing than a cleanliness thing. There’s only two mirrors in the house, which is no big if you’re just there to fish, but made it a little difficult for 6 women to get ready for a night out. The house was pretty sparse if you want to cook or anything, but we ate out so it wasn’t really a problem for us! Bathrooms are spacious and clean and there’s plenty of towels! The owner responded to all my messages quickly and kindly and was really helpful. The only real problem we had was lack of wifi, but I also totally get not wanting to pay for a service in a house you’re not living in full time like that. It was overall a good experience! "

Camp Gator #1 (the second floor) is a fully furnished home that can sleep up to 7 - 9 people.
