Please send message on VRBO of how many bundles of 10 logs used so we can charge. This fee is used to help offset the cost of restocking firewood for our guests conviencne. Firewood is also available at local gas stations and groceries stores nearby.

Trashcan pickup at the road is on Friday mornings.

For the security of our guest and the safety of our home, we have security cameras outside of the house only and they do not record audio.

The Riverhouse was a dream to stay in! The house was beautiful and Mike left a care package of travel essentials that was so helpful. The house is right on the water and has a beautiful porch that we spent time on each morning. Mike was very kind and checked in on us to make sure everything was going well. He was very responsive when we had questions as well. Definitely recommend staying here! We want to come back!

Mike gives very good instructions on how to find the place and the driveway. He was very responsive if we needed anything however it was all set up so nice and already prepared for anything you needed! The atmosphere was awesome because you were kinda away from neighbors but had neighbors. It was very peaceful. I loved the house because it was that farm feeling with even a rooster next door to say hello but far enough away it was funny to me! The location was convenient to any direction we wanted to go! I will most definitely look him up again if we have more baseball games over there! We absolutely loved it ! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Just loved the river house. Beautiful porch, on which you can sit on rocking chairs watching the river flow. Amazing massive clear windows bring light throughout the space. Comfortable bed and well appointed kitchen. Such a great place to relax while in town for the festival. Would stay again. Very responsive host. Highly recommended.

When entering the home you will find both bedrooms and bathrooms to the front of the home before reaching the living area. Each bedroom is furnished with a dresser, full closet and tv for enjoyment. The large master bedroom is sure to impress with design and comfortability. There is huge walk in closet and master bathroom with stand up tiled shower and soaker tub for bath time! The other bedroom is also very spacious with a full bathroom right next door. Following the hall to the back of the home you will find the open living area with over 20 foot ceilings and elegant decor. In this space you will find yourself spending the most time. There is plenty of seating in the living room with a sectional couch that turns into a sleeper and a little nook area with two chairs read a book or have your morning coffee. One small complaint was the smell of water and unfortunate yellowing that it caused, but other than that, my family throughly enjoyed our stay and the wonderful host! The kitchen had a variety of pans, utensils and cookware. We all liked the farmhouse sink and the spray/spout made washing dishes super easy. The jetted tub was such a treat. I really enjoyed soaking. Our bed was a dream. We haven't slept that comfortably in a long time. When we replace our mattress, I want one just like it. The dining and living room was spacious. We could've used a little more seating in the living room, like a lounge or oversized loveseat. The sofa was L shaped. When we all sat down hang out and talk, we were only able to fit four comfortably. We were there for a family reunion, so we were away most of the time and didn't get to relax at the house as much as we would've liked. Overall, we all enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent the house again."

Other things to note
The cottage is located behind the house (which may or may not be occupied) and there is a large shop on the property that also may or may not be occupied. The level of interaction is up to you. The way that the property is set up creates complete privacy for each building.

While you won’t find a full size stove or oven, you will be able to cook some creative meals from the under counter refrigerator, an electric hot plate, pots, pans, microwave, coffee pot, and tea pot.

Much like ourselves, our home seems to be a constant work in progress. There may be small details that aren’t complete, but they’ll never hinder your stay, and we always do our best to never do construction during your stay unless there is an urgent repair that just can’t wait. Unfortunately, sometimes can feel like it delays our progress a bit, but we don’t ever want to inconvenience anyone. Our house is not perfect, but it is home so please be patient with us.

You are invited to enjoy a quiet and peaceful resting place where it all happens around the Southern Lafayette area. This spacious home is equipped with all the necessities that a guest would need. The space
My home will greet you with private covered parking suitable for two vehicles and keyless entry. Smart lock code and instructions will be issued upon booking.

My home is equipped with exterior surveillance and an alarm system. The alarm system will be off upon your arrival but can be used upon request.

Upon entry, you will find a fully functional laundry room to the right. If needed, there is a small tool kit, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, iron/ironing board, broom/dust pan and a plunger located in this room.

To the left and directly above the alarm system control panel, you will see the Wi-Fi passode posted on the erase board.

The kitchen includes a full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, oven/stove, island with sink and microwave. There is a full set of dishes/glasses, pots/pans, keurig and utensils. Please enjoy complimentary water and coffee during your stay.

The living room provides smart TV access, over the air HDTV and Netflix. The fireplace is not active. The arc floor lamp has a foot switch that may be tucked under the couch. Enjoy a nice read with one of my books or play a game or two that is located in the entertainment center. Make yourself at home.

The patio entrance is just past the living room on the right. Enjoy your cup of coffee in the morning or sip on some wine during the evening hours. The patio opens up to the only common area for my home. The common area on the opposite side of the house belongs to my neighbor and should not be accessed at anytime.

The stairway is just past the living room to the left which leads to the upstairs bed and full bath. This space will satisfy any additional guests that you may have.

Before heading to the master bedroom, you will find a convenient half bath just past the stairway on the left.

The master bed has a king bed and is equipped with equal TV access as in the living room. I also have a sound machine on one of the nightstands for your comfort. Our poor wine unit has become completely unreliable so unfortunately, it’s on a time out in the corner. However, you’re welcome to help yourself to any drinks and/or condiments in the regular kitchen refrigerator. There’s also two shelves in the kitchen full of spices that you’re welcome use.

Much like ourselves, our home seems to be a constant work in progress. There may be small details that aren’t complete, but they never hinder your stay, and we always do our best to never do construction during your stay unless there is an urgent repair that just can’t wait. Unfortunately, sometimes can feel like it delays our progress a bit, but we don’t ever want to inconvenience anyone. Our house is not perfect, but it is home so please be patient with us.

The space
The house was originally located in a small-town historic district and moved to our 4-acre family farm.

You'll enter the house at the back patio into a large eat-in kitchen. The kitchen is bright and fully equipped with everything you'll need ….dishes, glasses, utensils, pots and pans. Dishwasher pods, paper towels and trash bags are provided. The screen-door pantry will store your groceries, snacks and drinks. A large oak table with seating for 8.

The living room is fully furnished with a large couch, oversized chair, trunk bench and large ottoman. Books and board games are available, along with cable, large screen TV and free wifi.

The master bedroom and private bathroom are located on one end of the house. Luxurious comfortable bedding on a king-size bed, ceiling fan, large screen TV and cable. An oversized dresser is available, along with a large closet. The private bathroom features a large walk-in shower. Lots of towels, soap, shampoo, toothpaste and blow dryer provided.

Bedroom #2 is located on the opposite end of the house, and furnished with a Queen-size bed, and a twin bed. Comfortable bedding with quilts, down comforters and fluffy pillows. A large closet and ceiling fan located in this room.

Bedroom 3 was originally designed as an office space, located next to and open to the living room. It's been furnished with 2 twin beds to offer additional sleeping arrangements. Ceiling fan. Please note: permanently affixed shutters serve as a room divider between this room and the living room, however will not provide the privacy of a standard bedroom.

The second bathroom is located between bedrooms #2 and #3. Includes lots of towels, additional linens, tub and shower. Soap, shampoo, toothpaste and blow dryer provided.

The front porch faces South and shaded from the morning sun. Rockers are perfect for enjoying your coffee while watching the birds visit their feeders.

The back patio is a favorite, with the outdoor kitchen area. Complete with a large concrete counter, cabinets, sink with hot and cold water, lots of electrical outlets for the grills, slow cookers and other appliances. Light fixtures offer plenty of night lighting, mini fridge and outdoor table and chairs. A large BBQ pit with charcoal and starter available for use during your stay.

Covered parking at the back patio will accommodate 2 vehicles.

Visit the greenhouse to see what’s growing and take home a souvenir plant! Summer is the time for sharing homegrown vegetables from my garden! Heirloom tomatoes are my favorite!

You’ll feel right at home while you sip a cup of coffee and watch the race horses training just across the field from the house or sit on the patio in-front of the cottage and watch the garden grow. Lounge on the big comfy couch while watching the 70 inch flat screen tv. Enjoy a glass of wine while cooking on the beautiful Viking stove. You can usually pick fresh fruits and vegetables from the garden just outside the kitchen window or check out all the delivery options from most of the restaurants In Lafayette, Scott, Carencro, and a others near by.

Other things to note
The cottage is located behind the house and there is a large shop on the property that also may or may not be occupied. The level of interaction is up to you. The way that the property is set up creates complete privacy for each building.

While you won’t find a full size stove or oven, in the cottage, you will be able to cook some creative meals from the under counter refrigerator, an electric hot plate, pots, pans, microwave, coffee pot, and tea pot.

Our poor wine unit in the house has become completely unreliable so unfortunately, it’s on a time out in the corner. However, you’re welcome to help yourself to any drinks and/or condiments in the regular kitchen refrigerator. There’s also two shelves in the kitchen full of spices that you’re welcome use.

Much like ourselves, our home seems to be a constant work in progress. There may be small details that aren’t complete, but they never hinder your stay, and we always do our best to never do construction during your stay unless there is an urgent repair that just can’t wait. Unfortunately, sometimes can feel like it delays our progress a bit, but we don’t ever want to inconvenience anyone. Our house is not perfect, but it is home so please be patient with us.

The space
Put your feet up and relax at this amazing huge modern style Barndominium! This place is so spacious and inviting! When entering the home you will find both bedrooms and bathrooms to the front of the home before reaching the living area. Each bedroom is furnished with a dresser, full closet and tv for enjoyment. The large master bedroom is sure to impress with design and comfortability. There is huge walk in closet and master bathroom with stand up tiled shower and soaker tub for bath time! The other bedroom is also very spacious with a full bathroom right next door. Upstairs also has a seperate living area with two on-suite rooms with each room having its own master bathroom attached. Following the hall to the back of the home you will find the open living area with over 20 foot ceilings and elegant decor. In this space you will find yourself spending the most time. There is plenty of seating in the living room with a sectional couch that turns into a sleeper and a little nook area with two chairs read a book or have your morning coffee. Speaking of coffee, there is a coffee bar that we have made with a single serve Keurig machine to make sure your day starts off good. The kitchen is massive and has an abundance of space and cabinets. We have most of all what is needed for all you cooking needs and more. In the kitchen/dining area there is 10 spaces to sit and eat which include a dining table, small high top and stool seating at the middle island. The whole back of the home has tons of windows that overlook the beautiful pond and of course if you are not satisfied yet layout on the huge bench swing while the sun sets while drinking your favorite beverage with friends and family. There is nothing like when experiencing the south in Luxury! Make this place your next go to!
