My husband and I would like to welcome everyone to our relaxing house in the heart of Old Mandeville. You will love it and not want to leave.
Our house is only steps away from Mandeville’s Beautiful Lakefront which is perfect to take a leisurely walk, jog, ride bikes or just sit and enjoy the views and sunsets. There are children’s playgrounds on both ends and a splash pad at the end of the lakefront near our house.
The city boat launch is across the street at the harbor for those who want to bring a boat or book a fishing trip with Wicked Fishing Charters which leaves from the launch. They also offer sunset cruises and kayak rentals.
The Tammany Trace Bike Trail is right down the street. It is originally a corridor for the Illinois Central Railroad and now is Louisiana’s first rail-trail. The bike path runs from Downtown Covington to Slidell.
Old Mandeville offers great restaurants, pubs, gift shops, Saturday outdoor markets, churches and so much more, all within walking and biking distance.
New Orleans' French Quarter, Audubon Zoo, Aquariums of the America, The National WWII Museum, even Jazz Fest and Mardi Gras are less then 45 minutes away!
Just want to get away and have a relaxing time? There is no better place than on the large porch where a nice breeze is always blowing from the lake. Enjoy your coffee in the morning and drinks in the evening. Of course, this is our Favorite place!

There is a great store very close, Roberts, that has a buffet and they had wonderful crawfish and lots of other options for non seafood eaters. Great house in a great area!! The Claiborne suite in old Mandeville is located one block off of Lake Pontchartrain and two blocks from Girod Street filled with restaurants and shopping. We can offer one or two queen size beds and the room comes with a full bathroom with tub and shower. Off street parking is included. Our neighborhood is quiet and safe and perfect for walks on the lakefront and enjoying the beauty of Old Mandeville.

In regard to the lower deck, while enjoyment of the deck will be solely for you and your guests, individuals may briefly pass through to access the boat dock and their boat - they will never have access to the home itself, nor will they be able to hang out on the deck. Access to and from the boat dock would be no more than a few minutes and occurs very rarely.

**Normal check-in time is 4pm on the arrival date. For check-in's from 1pm - 4:00pm, it's an extra $50 to have two extra cleaners assist with servicing the property. Check-in's before 1pm would require booking the previous night at a much-discounted rate. Contact host for details.
**Pack-n-play/highchairs must be reserved.
**Exterior cameras present for verification of guest occupancy and to prevent illegal events/parties.
**Our space is not handicapped accessible or ADA compliant
***Please note that per city permit laws, this home has an internal noise monitoring device. This is not a recording device, and it only monitors noise levels. Placement of this device was made mandatory by the city.

Pricey though after all of the add on fees, taxes etc. Check in time was 1hr later than posted which turned into another hour getting credentials. We were on a tight schedule. Enjoy walks on the lakefront, sunsets, eateries, pubs, kids park with splash pad, 31 mile bike path and more all within walking distance of our cottage. Our pet friendly home is next to the woods of Little Bayou Castine. Enjoy a private woodsy feel in the heart of Old Mandeville. Under house pool table and grill . Fenced area. Two bikes. 3 bedrooms (4 beds) ,open floor plan. Perfect place to relax in the heart of Mandeville.
The space
Fenced in dog run, plenty of porch space and under house outdoor living. Pool table , Fire Pit, bikes, Dart board, grill. High end appliances, washer and dryer ,Baby High chair, Pac and Play, High speed WiFi ,TVs in every room.Massage chair. Plenty of our guests have said they like to stay in Old Mandeville for the safe historic atmosphere and love the quiet woodsy private location of the cottage and New Orleans is 30 mins. away across the lake.

You get the whole Cottage! Key pad entry. Bikes and a Pool Table. There’s a public boat launch across the street. Plenty of extra free parking on Jackson Ave for large moving vans and trailers. Feed the sea gulls. You can explore the lake and bayous with Kayak tours. Google it.
Other things to note
Relax and enjoy the lake, neighborhood shops and restaurants. Remember, New Orleans is about 30min. car drive. Fontainebleau State Park is five minutes away. Local amazing restaurants that require reservations are -Gallagher’s 527 ( maybe the best steaks in New Orleans )
