There are 3 buildings on the property, Redwood Retreat, which is the main house, garage and storage building and the Little Riverbank house with brick covered porch and roll up screens. On the Cane River is the boat house and floating dock. There is boat launch access at the Marina, approximately 1/2 mile away on Patrick Road. Both are available for use, arrangements to be made with owner prior to arrival.

The Neighborhood

What's special about our location is that you are completely secluded on the water yet only a half mile or less from food, shopping, and entertainment. For all your traveling needs, there is a Walmart located only about a half mile away, along with Brookshire's grocery store and multiple dollar stores for groceries, toiletries, etc.

We love to eat here in Natchitoches! You won't go home hungry :) Here you can find down home southern cooking- crawfish, meat pies, red beans and rice, traditional American, Chinese, fast food, delicious Japanese and sushi. Ask us for food recommendations!

The Downtown Historic District is only a few miles away, where you will find historical tours, shopping, and dining on the beautiful Cane River.

Please note that while families are welcome, our home is not baby or child proof. Life vests are not provided but recommended when around or in the water. Please use caution as our home is located on Cane River Lake.

This 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath home comes fully furnished with everything you need for a getaway on the river. Towels, linens, fully stocked kitchen, washer & dryer. Boat launch is 1 mile away, plenty of shopping and local eateries only minutes away.

The master bedroom is downstairs with a queen size bed. There is a full bath and a half bath downstairs. The upstairs has a queen size bed and a single bed in one bedroom. The 3rd bedroom is a small bedroom with a single bed with a pullout trundle bed beneath. There is a full bath upstairs.

The indoor kitchen is fully stocked. The griddle in the outdoor kitchen is out of commission, however there is a charcoal grill for your use.

WiFi is available and you may use streaming apps to watch television, however cable tv is not offered.

The home provides ample room to bring the family. There’s nothing fancy here, but peacefulness is found in the simplicity of our home and the tranquility of the water.

Swimming is allowed at your own risk. Kayaks are on site along with life jackets. Kayaks can be used at your own risk.

Security cameras are on site capturing entrance gates, pontoon boat, boat dock, and rear entrance of the house.

This is a newly renovated 3bedroom 2 bath home. Great location for people visiting NSU, Downtown Festivals or anyone wanting to spend a few days in Natchitoches. Walking distance to Downtown and less than a 5 minute drive to Wal Mart and most of the major restaurants in town. Exterior security lighting and cameras for your peace of mind. Parking is off of East 5th Street in the grass area near the side door. Our August Lock is located on the side door. This is allows easy access to the property for loading and unloading. There are steps inside the house. There are 2 steps in the master bedroom and a couple steps going from the main entrance into the kitchen area.

House sits on The Cane river quietly tucked away from city noise. Historic downtown Natichotches is only a ten minute drive away, but taking your boat downtown from the dock in the back yard can be a fun experience. The boat launch is located less than a half a mile from the driveway with dockside fuel pumps and ten minutes by boat from the house.

The back porch is the length of the home, with plenty of seating, tables, a swing. It also has a grilling station with plenty of counter space and can be used as a bar area.

The kitchen has everything from toasters, waffle iron, crock pots, pots, pans, etc, including dinnerware, silverware, and utensils to accommodate a family of 12. Trash bags, dish-washing liquid, if needed, is under the sink. the Laundry room has washer, dryer, ironing board and laundry baskets

The game room is separated from the living area by wooden glass pane sliding doors. It’s nice for keeping an eye on the kiddos and minimize noise while they enjoy it. It’s also perfect for the adults to feel like they re having a night out without leaving the house. Has a pool table, dart board, cards, large smart tv , to watch the game or listen to music, bar area, with mini refrigerator & freezer.

Kitchen and living room have stunning views of the lake. The master suite is nestled on the 2nd floor that has its own door to the outdoor balcony overlooking the lake. Enjoy the oversized deck above the boat house for your morning coffee! Lots of decks and seating area outside with beautiful views of the lake! All bedrooms are upstairs! Please know there are stairs to get to the dock and uneven surfaces. If you have problems with stairs this may not be the peppery for you.
