Beautiful custom-built Cajun Cabin, with a fully-equipped kitchen, living room and full bath. Cabin interior is rustic and is constructed of reclaimed virgin cypress and pine.

The cabin has a queen-size bed in the bedroom along with a sofa & love seat in the living room. The bathroom has a shower stall.

The cabin has a large TV in the living room and is equipped with WiFi and DirectTV.

The cabin is built on property right on Pierre Part Bay. There is a large covered dock where you can fish or tie up your boat. There is a boat ramp within walking distance where you can launch your boat to either fish or to just explore the beautiful waterways surrounding Pierre Part, including Lake Verret and Belle River.

If you're coming to fish, we have a nice, covered fish-cleaning area with a sink, cutting boards and containers for your use.

You may even catch a glimpse of the stars of Swamp People during your stay! Duffy's Gas Station, the home of Swamp People, is just a couple of miles south on Hwy. 70.

The cabin is about a one-hour drive from Louisiana's Capital City of Baton Rouge and about 1.5 hour drive to historic New Orleans. The Houmas House plantation home is 29 miles from the cabin, and Oak Alley plantation home is about 30 miles from the cabin.

Numerous opportunities for adventure may be available, depending on the season. These may include crawfishing, crabbing, frogging, fresh-water fishing, hoop net fishing and tours of the Atchafalaya Basin. Limited alligator hunts may be available during alligator season at an additional expense. Experience a true Cajun lifestyle.

This is a Fishing Lodge and ideally suited for up to 8 anglers. The accommodations are focused around fishing and this should be considered when deciding whether or not to bring children. Unfortunately, Hopedale canal does occasionally contain alligators and snakes so swimming or children playing on the dock is highly discouraged.

Access to the Lodge is by boat only. If you want to rent the Lodge for charter trips such as fly fishing charters, arrangements can be made for Capt. Pat to transport or leave a boat for your use to access your vehicle. Additional fees may apply. Inquire with details when making reservations.

Kantcha Ketchum is a 1568 sq. feet, 4 bedroom, 2 bath Lodge with central heat and air, large kitchen/dining room, large family/game room with large screen TV and card table. Full kitchen includes ref stove, microwave, dishwasher and all pots, pans, utensils, etc. All linen supplied.
The 1200 sq. ft. covered/elevated patio includes barbecue pit, boilers/fryers, hammock, swings and fish cleaning station and 50 foot boat dock. Electric cargo lift to patio. Additional dock space may be available with prior approval.

This is the best fishing camp you will find in the Hopedale/Delacroix area. Fisherman's Paradise is an understatement. Fully equipped with everything you will need to clean and cook your daily catch and all the comforts to relax and commensurate with your fishing buddies while sharing a fishing story or two.

You can launch your boat and park at the back down at "Pip's" which is 3 blocks from Hopedale Canal or travel down to the end of the road to Hopedale Marina which is approximately 1 mile. Both launches charge $10 for the back down ramps. Hopedale Marina is extra convenient because you can pick up your bait, ice and forgotten fishing tackle plus get latest fishing tips from the marina operators.

Security cameras are placed above the front and side entrances. These are motion sensitive cameras and do not capture any activity in the camp or on the mid level porch.

Beautiful 1800 square foot lodge located on the historic bayou La Loutre. Just step away from the lodge on bayou La Loutre is our dock facility that has a cleaning station and dock space to park your boats. The lodge was established in 2018, it has four bedrooms and 3 full baths and will accommodate 10 people. Spacious kitchen over looking living room with ajoing game room. Stunning view overlooking the beautiful south Louisiana marsh outside the back deck! The lodge has all the accommodations and amenities for cooking and your overnight stay. Just bring your food and drinks and enjoy a relaxing stay on the bayou!

Our boat hoist are not included in the rental, these hoist are all occupied. We do have room for you to tie your boat up to the side of the dock if you would like to keep your boat in the water over night.

You are renting the red cabin only. The red cabin is a one-room cabin with one double bed, two bunk beds and a bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet. The kitchenette contains only a microwave, a small refrigerator and a sink with hot and cold water, flat ware, coffee cups, coffee maker for grounds and paper towels, bath towels, some china, and paper plates. There is a land line phone 337-737-2450. The red cabin is cooled and heated with a wall air conditioner which is also controlled by a remote. It also has Direct-TV with DVR and WiFi.
There is a Polaris 4-wheeler which is on the property and can be included for $25.00 a day with the proper credentials for the person using the 4-wheeler. See the (wheeler contract).
The cabin is located on approximately one acre of land along with the main camp and has playground equipment, including a zip-line for the kids, a slide and a merry-go-round. Out at the end of the levy is a fishing pier with an upper deck. The fishing pier is available. Usually there are several crab traps on the deck and can be baited and thrown in (always throw with the bait down) or you can use string with bait. It has a sink with cold water only. The upper deck is a wonderful place to view sunsets over the marsh or to fish and sunbath.

- "We stayed two nights with a party of 8 friends. The property is perfect for such a large group, consisting of four almost identical large bedrooms each with a queen and single bed and an ensuite. There is a large well equipped kitchen and the fridge was stocked with cold drinks when we arrived. Thanks to the mosquito screens the large balcony is perfect to sit outside whilst overlooking the marshes. Shellie and Joey are great hosts. Shellie cooked us a lovely cajun meal and Joey took us into the marshes with the air boat. Highly recommended."

- "We liked the cabin and loved our time at Avery Island. A few things to remember check the weather, we had rain and could not light our fire as it rained half of our trip. Someone had to empty the firepit as it was full and we could not use it on the only dry night. A few things about this cabin, the stove, dishwasher, and fridge are awesome, perfect cabin to cook in. The coffee and kurig pot were super convenient. The water was always hot for the shower. We loved the fireplace. The hot tub was a tricky situation. The error message was saying (per google) to add water it was low. Whomever serviced this did not clean it. We added hot water via the tap near the hot tub and turned on the bubbles as the heat pump error came up and would not get hot. Once we added water and turned the bubbles on the hot tub came up to temperature. We had called, someone had "serviced" it prior three days before... they need to drain it and rinse it and refill it before each guest. As we sat we saw the foam of the hot tub had hair and dirt in it. We showered immediately. Only used it once. The stairs for the second floor is a ladder style. This did not bother me, I slept like a baby. The washer and dryer are on the second floor, so washing was fun, we tossed each other our things to wash and when they were done drying we threw them down to each other. The sofa was very comfortable. The mattresses are firm and do mold to you for comfort. They provide plenty of everything you could need. Thank you :)"

The entire property is bordered by a privately landlocked tract of Kisatchie at the rear and our private land on all other sides. Our guests adore the coffee station with premium coffees, snacks and bento boxes of breakfast and spa teas for relaxation. The full kitchen includes a 4 burner range and oven with warming zones, bluetooth smart microwave and dishwasher, full sized retro Frigidaire freezer/fridge, ice maker, toaster and blender/chopper with personal smoothie attachments.

You’ll find everything you need for adventure or relaxation including a selection of insulated cups and wine tumblers to enjoy inside at the eat-in bar top or out on the patios. Our furnished porch has a great view into a tract of Kisatchie National Forest that is home to an abundance of wildlife. The cabin and online guidebook include forest guides and maps to acquaint you with access and use of the Kisatchie trails nearby and our private trails that you may also enjoy.

Your television is connected to 5G WiFi via hotspot. A Roku TV on swivel mount offers all of your favorite streaming apps or guest mode with live TV and plenty of free channels. We are amid the National Forest, so speed will not be as fast as you experience in the big city but it is generally serviceable to stream. Per our service provider, we cannot guarantee service speed. Upload speed is slow. We guarantee you won’t want to sit around and watch a screen with the heart of Kisatchie trails right outside your door.

The full bathroom is separated by a sliding barn style door and includes shower/tub and a stacked washer and dryer unit free to use. We include a starter supply of luxury detergent, hand soaps, body wash and shampoo. A luggage rack and small hanging rack for clothing or hang dry items are also on hand.

You may elect to glamp with your horse on-site and enjoy riding our trails across the road or elsewhere on our 400 acres. We have two RV hookups that can be added at an additional charge per night. These spots can only be added on to the cabin, so you will always have the property to yourself with your registered guests. The entire Kisatchie trail system is also just a short ride away. Horses must have current Coggins and health certificate or proof of vaccination. Please reach out for full information on equine accommodations.

***Please note that we do Guest Screening and Protection trough Truvi. You will receive a separate text or email after you book to take a photo of your ID and choose either the $35 Damage Waiver or the Deposit option. There is no hold placed with the deposit; that option incurs a $10 fee. Either option protect both parties in case of accidental damage. Our Cabin on the Crest is perfect for guests who want to enjoy Downtown Lafayette as much as they want to explore the rest of the city. This quaint, fully furnished studio apartment is located just 1 mile (1.6 km) from downtown Lafayette, LA. It is also conveniently positioned no more than 15 minutes from any destination in Lafayette. Our Cabin on the Crest is as centrally located as one can get! Guests staying here will have the opportunity to help us improve and leave their mark on our newest property!

Our Cabin on the Crest shares the property with Cajun Hostel on the Crest, a home that sleeps 10, so large groups are welcome to book both homes!

All guests will have access to the fully equipped kitchen, which includes a range/oven, refrigerator, toaster, various pots, pans, and utensils.

The kitchen is stocked with cooking supplies and condiments. We typically have food available in the pantry. Guests will have 24-hour access to a pantry that includes free coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, as well as a choice of coffee pots. You'll also find basic staples such as salt, pepper, sugar, and a few other essentials to accompany the food you bring or purchase. Guests are welcome to any food items in the kitchen. Additionally, there is a full-service grocery store, Piggly Wiggly, less than 1/2 mile (0.8 km) away.

Check-in and parking instructions are very detailed, and 99% of our guests check in without any issues. However, we may not be able to assist you after 10 PM, so please ensure you receive instructions via the Airbnb app or email by noon on your arrival day.

The house is 3.4 miles (5.5 km) from Lafayette Regional Airport and 1 mile from both the Amtrak Train Station and Greyhound Bus Station, located downtown.

We sell nonethanol fuel, live shrimp, dead shrimp, tackle, ice, etc. We have a fish cleaning station and BBQ pits. Our lodges sleep 6- very spacious. We have assigned parking spots for your truck and trailer underneath each unit. If you lodge with us, you can leave your boat in the water. Sweetwater lodge is the perfect spot for fishing-a one stop shop! We, also, have a food truck across from our lodge- open Thursday- Sunday. Walk down the lodge steps, cross the street and hop in the boat for a nice day on the water-after watching a beautiful Louisiana sunrise from right outside of your room!

The Blue Lagoon Resort and the client agree as follows:

Client agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless The Blue Lagoon Resort, its owners, directors, employees, and insurers from and against any and all claims, suits, actions, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including, without limitation, attorneys' fees and court costs) arising out of, resulting from, or in any way connected with:

•Client's Negligence: Any act or omission of negligence or willful misconduct by Client and its guest.
•Activities: Any and all activities occurring during the Client’s stay, including but not limited to:
-Personal injury or death of any person.
-Property damage to The Blue Lagoon Resort or the property of others.
-Claims for copyright or trademark infringement.
-Claims for copyright or trademark infringement.
-Any injuries, damages, or losses arising from or related to the consumption of alcohol by any guest, regardless of whether such consumption occurred on or off the premises.
-Claims arising from any violation of law or regulation.

Exceptions

This indemnification obligation shall not apply to claims arising solely from the gross negligence or willful misconduct of The Blue Lagoon Resort or its employees.

Acknowledgments

Client acknowledges that certain areas of the premises, such as [e.g., common areas, restrooms, parking lot, and other rented facilities], may be shared with other clients of The Blue Lagoon Resort during the rental period. Client shall not unreasonably disturb or interfere with other renters' use of the premises. The client shall use shared areas in a respectful and considerate manner.

Operating Procedures

•Clients renting any facility have a check-in time of 3 pm and a check-out time before 11 am.
-Early check-in or late departure can be requested via the Property Manager.
•Quiet hours commence at 10:30 pm.

Check-out:
•All kitchen equipment and utensils utilized must be thoroughly cleaned and returned to their original locations.
•Refrigerators must be completely emptied, cleaned of any spills or residues, and returned to their original state.
•All hard surface countertops should be thoroughly cleaned and free of any spills, debris, or stains before vacating the premises.
•All used linens shall be placed in a neat pile on the restroom floor.
•It is not necessary to strip beds. The cleaning staff will do this for you.
•Collect all trash (including restrooms) inside of the facility and throw it into the larger outside bins.
•Do NOT throw cigarettes and trash on the ground.
•Trash must be picked up inside and outside of the facility. This includes cigarettes. There are cigarette dispensers provided for guests to properly dispose of.
•Please be mindful of guests considered to be ‘children.’ The grounds house a large pond and areas that are not considered a playground and/or safe for them to be left unattended.
•Any damages are the responsibility of the client renting the establishment.

The Freedom Cabin is our patriotic cabin displaying our countries heritage throughout its theme. With a 10-person capacity it has a full kitchen, covered front porch, 1 full bathroom with a separate toilet under stairway. This cabin was designed for larger families or groups in mind.
