A small but luxurious romantic cabin north of Shreveport, Louisiana in God's Country Resort, located only minutes from downtown Shreveport's casinos and nightlife. The real log cabin features a luxurious air tub Jacuzzi inside the bedroom, a full kitchen with appliances, electric fireplace, recliners, and a sleeper sofa. - "What a great location! The cabin is right on the water. Plenty of boats and such if you want to take anything out. Plenty of life jackets in all sizes. We brought our 3 young boys and they enjoyed the freedom to be boys! Playing in the mud and exploring nature. Our 3 dogs came and both young and old were comfortable. The owner sent a list of places to eat and things to do with distance. At times water pressure went low, but not for long. There were plenty of seats to sit and watch nature. Kitchen had enough to cook and eat with. Property is clean and well kept. We love Cajun food and will be back! This was the perfect location to be close to the city but far enough away to feel a part of nature. Great place, highly commend for families or those with pets."

A small but luxurious romantic cabin north of Shreveport, Louisiana located in the God's Country Resort which is located only minutes from downtown Shreveport's casinos and nightlife. The real log cabin features a luxurious air tub Jacuzzi inside the bedroom, a full kitchen with appliances, electric fireplace, recliners, and a sleeper sofa. This cabin is located inside the Gavel Falls Campground and RV Park, which is part of the Lawler Auction Facility north of Shreveport, Louisiana. This property is ideal for entertaining large families and guests. Inside the home are 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. This home was just updated in October 2018 with new granite kitchen counters, new appliances, new carpet, and many other amenities. The home has a 2-car covered carport and a covered patio that extends the entire length of the home. We have placed two concrete picnic tables and a large grill on the patio for outside cookouts and get-togethers. We also furnished the home with brand new furniture throughout. This property includes a large smart TV in the living room. This home was originally a huge manufactured home that the owners lived in before building a large log home. They converted it to a cabin in 2018, updating the kitchen with granite, new carpet throughout the home, and new fixtures throughout. New furniture was purchased for the home in 2018. This spacious home is ideal for large families and great for entertaining guests.

Otherwise, you were most assertive and I truly enjoyed my stay. By-the-way, those veins were already missing from the door blind and the commode in the master bathroom needs to be mounted to the floor, the sealer is gone! No Water Access:
The property sits 30 feet above the river, and the steep, rocky climb down is not advised. No swimming in the Red River due to its strong current and presence of alligators.

Deck & Porch Views:
Enjoy the scenic views of the river from inside the Lodge, or relax on the screened porch and deck. The view is especially lovely from the Lodge, where you can unwind and watch the surroundings.

Private Airport Nearby:
You may notice private planes flying over the river, as a private airport is just down the road.

Wildlife:

A log cabin situated on a bluff 30’ above the lake bank, this home captures the feel of an old-time fish camp, and is on the edge of a small village in NW Louisiana. The spacious back porch features a northwestern view, and sunsets are not to be missed. We take our name from the historic draw bridge and train trestle nearby, where today the sound of the trains echoing over the water adds to a quaint feeling to a time gone by.

Sitting high above the Soda Lake Wildlife Refuge Area is the new God's Country Mountain View Campground, and at the center of the campground is the Eagle's Nest sitting high above the tree line offering a spectacular mountain top view for miles. Imagine waking up in the morning with a bird's eye view of the wildlife and rich woodland acres that stretch as far as the eye can see. The Eagle's Nest is a large bluff-side cabin that features two large bedrooms, one on each end. The master bedroom has its own private bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub made for two. On the other end is a second bedroom with two King beds and its own bathroom with a shower/tub. In between the two bedrooms is a giant open living area and kitchen with a giant picnic table to enjoy large family dinners or breakfast near the fireplace. On the backside of the Lodge, you will enjoy morning coffee or tea while taking in the fresh air as you are perched high up above the cliff side often watching the deer feed on the grass down below or the geese and ducks swimming in the large pond below. Enjoy a nice hike through the trails of the 53-acre God's Country privately owned Campground and search for arrowheads left behind by the Indians that once roamed these woods or take a stroll down into the Soda Lake Wildlife Refuge area down below. Yes, a mountain top view does exist in Louisiana. The secret is out!

The master bedroom offers a King bed while the second bedroom has 3 sets of built-in bunk beds with plush pillow top mattresses for everyone to enjoy. Enjoy cooking on the back deck or dipping in the hot tub after a long day hiking the WMA or a day in town. God's Country is only about 15 minutes from the Downtown Casinos and the Louisiana Boardwalk. Enjoy your stay in one of our luxury log cabins located in God's Country RV Resort. These one-bedroom cabins are perfect for a long relaxing weekend, adults get away, business trip, or fun family vacation.

The space
These small but luxurious real log cabins offer a queen bed in the bedroom and a set of relaxing recliners in the living room along with an electric fireplace.

There are televisions in the living room as well as the bedroom. The bedroom has a jacuzzi tub or you can stand in the tub and pull out the hand nozzle for a quick shower.

Each cabin offers granite kitchen counters with stainless refrigerator, electric range and microwave along with a Keurig Coffeemaker. They come complete with dishes, pots and pans, and cutlery.

Our log cabins have their own private picnic area with a grill and a fire ring. You can also enjoy our campground's Wi-Fi or our High-Definition Cable TV System.

As a guest of God's Country RV resort, you have access to all amenities located on both the west and east sides. The luxury cabins are located on the West Side of the RV Resort.

Amenities found on the West Side of the resort are 2 playgrounds, a bouncing pillow, and a swimming pool. On the East Side there is a swing set, a bouncing pillow, and the paddle boat rentals for the lake.

Guests also have access to our gym Catch and Release Lake and golf cart rentals.

Also available is a coin operated laundry mat on site(West Side).

Pelican Place is only 30 miles from Shreveport which is home to shopping, dining and Casino's on the Red River. The Town of Jefferson Tx is only 25 miles away and offers dining, unique shopping and many festivals. Caddo Lake State park is also near by with hiking, boat & kayak rentals along with boat tours, fine dining and beautiful views. New Internet wireless broadband provides excellent service and enhances cell phone coverage too at Pelican Place!

Check out my Guidebook on-line or the Guest informational book provided in the home. It will have helpful information about the Lake house and property as well as the surrounding area. Please reach out with any questions. There is a BBQ grill on site and the kitchen should have everything you need for cooking. Please call if you need additional information about lake tours/fishing trips/or local recommendations.

Also, please be respectful of the neighbors and only use the property directly behind Pelican Place that includes the concrete boat ramp and the waterfront area to the North of the concrete ramp. The other side is private property with people living there full time. Signs are posted. Thank you for your cooperation and following all house rules including quiet time after 10pm.

Caddo Lake Cabins are 4 "Tiny House" Cabins with a view of the mysterious Caddo Lake! There is a charcoal grill / smoker next each cabin & also next to the covered picnic pavilion, with hanging lights for nighttime enjoyment! However, the STAR of the show is sitting outside at night watching thousands of stars twinkle & fly through the sky! It's a one of a kind experience! Enjoy Caddo Lake all day, then the star show at night!

The space
Wyldewood sleeps 4 people in 2 full-sized beds, if you need to sleep 5, we have an ottoman that converts to a twin bed or you could use the memory foam cot. Caddo Lake Cabins sits on about an acre of fenced land in a park-like setting. There’s plenty of yard for outdoor fun! It’s out in the country where there are no city lights to interfere with star gazing. Ferry Lake Road deadends into Caddo Lake. The only traffic is residents of the street.

Other things to note
There is a charcoal grill next to each cabin- it’s got a side smoker so if you plan to smoke meat, bring your favorite smoking pellets.

There is a Mexican Restaurant right down the road, as well as a dollar general (sells just about all essentials! …groceries, charcoal, bug spray, even beer and wine coolers!) liquor & tobacco stores. There is a Walmart about 10 miles away.

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway.

The space
This home sits on an area with beautiful Louisiana scenery. The property is secluded in between the cypress tree and Spanish moss which 360°s the entire house. It is a Camp that sits in the swamps of North Louisiana, which you find wildlife on the property year round. Public boat launch is within walking distance

There is a train track nearby. Train traffic at night has been very minimal. Can get busy during the day. The water levels can rise in the area very quickly between late February and August. The road can be muddy or rough depending on weather conditions. Cars can access the house when it’s dry, but a truck or suv is recommended

The Wilderness Cabins are new to God's Country and these beautifully remodeled "Disney" cabins are the perfect place to stay. Enjoy a weekend getaway or stay for a while in these cozy and fun wilderness cabins, featuring charming bear-themed touches and rustic wood accents.

The space
Each of the cabins feature a queen size bed, a set of bunk beds and a sleeper sofa, comfortably sleeping 6 people.

Wilderness Cabin amenities include a stylish kitchen complete with a full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and coffee maker. The kitchen also includes pots/pans, dishware, cutlery, everything you would need to cook a meal.

Each cabin has a Smart TV and free resort Wi-Fi.

There is also a porch with seating for enjoying the outdoors. The porch is complete with your own gas grill and Adirondack chairs.

This cottage was built circa 1926 on Cross Lake as the home for Lonnie Erwin who owned a catfish restaurant next to his home. Back in the day it was popular to drive up from Shreveport if they caught enough catfish to serve. The restaurant closed in the mid 1940s and it and the cottage fell into disrepair. We renovated the cottage and restaurant (also on Airbnb as The Red House on Cross Lake) and brought them up to date.

The space
Although we left many of the original details we added modern conveniences for comfort.
Guest have use of the grounds and pier along with our family and any guest in The Red House Airbnb next door.
The property is at the end of a dead end street on the open lake and offers comfort, peace, and quiet.

We have built an outdoor kitchen/pavilion for use by our guest in both the Blue and Red houses and our family. It is for all to use. If someone is there you are still welcome. Make new friends and enjoy the space. Please see the outdoor kitchen manual in the house and follow the guidelines.

Please note the no children between the ages of 2 to 12 rule. This is important. It is simply too dangerous right on the lake for young children.

Amazing Large feel tiny house with soaring 16' cathedral ceiling! Master bedroom has a Queen bed with new luxurious Nectar mattress & fine linens. Interior features luxury bedding & linens, all new kitchen appliances & floors, granite, washer & dryer, fully stocked kitchen with island/bar for eating. Living room sectional makes into a bed. UPDATE: there is a smart TV in the living room. We have a 50' fishing pier and a boat stall available with a deep channel to open water if you want to bring your boat. Emerald Cottage was featured on HGTV's House Hunters in October 2023! A log cabin situated on a bluff 30’ above the lake bank, this home captures the feel of an old-time fish camp, and is on the edge of a small village in NW Louisiana. The spacious back porch features a northwestern view, and sunsets are not to be missed. We take our name from the historic draw bridge and train trestle nearby, where today the sound of the trains echoing over the water adds to a quaint feeling to a time gone by.

There is a free public boat dock about a quarter-mile away.

Red River Lodge is perched 30' above the Red River shoreline. 3 sets of large French doors offer amazing river views! Both bedrooms have French doors and a balcony as well. The large screened porch has plenty of seating & a smart tv. Enjoy the bar overlooking the river! The living room has a large sectional, 55" Smart TV, long dining table with benches, and portable Ping-Pong! NO RIVER ACCESS. The walk down is steep, rocky, and dangerous. It is fenced off.

The space
There are 3 rentals on this property if you have a larger group. Red River Carriage House & Red River Bayou Boat are also on AirBnB. The Carriage House is right next to the Lodge & appears attached but it’s a separate rental with its own entrance. Red River Bayou Boat is in the front yard with its own fence around it. We took out some boards from the original deck to rebuild, and put up a fence so no one can access the old part until it’s ready. There is not water access on this property Bc it sits 30’ above the river & the steep Rocky climb down is not advised. No swimming in the Red River Bc of the strong current & 🐊! Enjoy the view from inside the house or the screened porch & deck! You’ll
likely see several private planes fly over the river Bc the private airport is right down the road. Keep your eye out for eagles as well!

Lodge guests have access to the full back deck, Carriage house guests have their own deck and may walk onto the lodge deck Bc there’s no permanent obstruction to block people. If you prefer them not accessing it during your stay, let me know and I will pass that on. It’s rare for both rentals to be booked at the same time.

Other things to note
Like many waterside neighborhoods, the street is a mix of different types of homes. There’s a big nice house on one side of us, with a beautiful park-like yard, & a doublewide on the other side. My handyman lives directly across the street in an RV. Please be aware this property can sleep 9 but it is STILL A 2 bedroom, 2 bath lodge. Here is how it can sleep 9: 2 queen beds, 4 rolling, memory foam cots, and one small ottoman that makes into a small bed for a small adult or child. The rolling cots can be set up in the bedrooms or moved to the living room.
