My kids had a great time fishing and boating!" - "We didn’t realize that the free activities at the resort aren’t available on Sundays or Mondays. The pool is also closed on Mondays. There is a swim beach but it was overgrown with grass and also had garbage floating in it from the nearby boat dock, so we didn’t use it. Unfortunately we had appointments later in the week so we didn’t have the option to take advantage of all the free amenities mentioned in the website. We did have access to Jenga and puzzles but were more interested in tennis, pickleball, etc. There was sporting equipment left out for general use but there were very few pieces and many of them were broken or otherwise unusable. Blue Canoe Lakeside Cabin is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin that sleeps 7 comfortably. First bedroom features a king bed & a 20" Roku TV; second bedroom has a queen bed & 20" Roku TV. Trundle twins and sleeper sofa located in the living area of the cabin will accommodate 3 adults. Sheets, pillows, and comforter are provided for all beds, as well as extra blankets and throws for comfort. The bathroom features a tub/shower combination and double sinks. Basic toiletries, including 6 rolls of toilet paper, blow dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap are complementary. Ample towels are provided. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, bakeware, stock pots, ample kitchen utensils and serving bowls, as well as dinnerware, glassware and silverware for 8. - All canoe, kayak, and paddleboard operators must have USCG-approved wearable PFDs for each person on board. Violating this may result in fines by the Game Warden. There is an assortment of limited sizes, but you may want to consider bringing your own as well

- Due to the rural area, you may encounter insects (gnats, ants, mosquitoes, bees, etc). This property receives quarterly pest control service; however, you may want to bring personal insect repellent and keep open food in the fridge or zip-lock bags
- Your safety matters. This property features 5 exterior security cameras. These cameras are outward facing and do not look into any interior spaces. Camera 1 is located on the east fence along the driveway, camera 2 is located on the west fence along the driveway, camera 3 is located on the cabin exteriors facing the lake, camera 4 is located near the driveway entrance, and camera 5 is located on the dock overlooking the shared dock area. These cameras actively record video and audio when motion is detected and will be turned on during your stay

LOCAL REGULATIONS
- A fishing license is required of any resident who fishes in the public waters of Texas, and failure to produce proof of license can result in fines by the Game Warden. Easy online purchases can be found on the Texas Parks and Wildlife website
- All canoe, kayak, and paddleboard operators must have USCG-approved wearable PFDs for each person on board. Violating this may result in fines by the Game Warden. There is an assortment of limited sizes provided, but you may want to consider bringing your own as well
