My kids had a great time fishing and boating!" - "We didn’t realize that the free activities at the resort aren’t available on Sundays or Mondays. The pool is also closed on Mondays. There is a swim beach but it was overgrown with grass and also had garbage floating in it from the nearby boat dock, so we didn’t use it. Unfortunately we had appointments later in the week so we didn’t have the option to take advantage of all the free amenities mentioned in the website. We did have access to Jenga and puzzles but were more interested in tennis, pickleball, etc. There was sporting equipment left out for general use but there were very few pieces and many of them were broken or otherwise unusable. Blue Canoe Lakeside Cabin is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath cabin that sleeps 7 comfortably. First bedroom features a king bed & a 20" Roku TV; second bedroom has a queen bed & 20" Roku TV. Trundle twins and sleeper sofa located in the living area of the cabin will accommodate 3 adults. Sheets, pillows, and comforter are provided for all beds, as well as extra blankets and throws for comfort. The bathroom features a tub/shower combination and double sinks. Basic toiletries, including 6 rolls of toilet paper, blow dryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap are complementary. Ample towels are provided. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, bakeware, stock pots, ample kitchen utensils and serving bowls, as well as dinnerware, glassware and silverware for 8. We truly have a little piece of quiet paradise and we have done all we can to provide you with a nice place to stay! Lovely two story cozy home with 4 walk-out decks at each entry point. Expect the comforts of home including a kitchen complete with basic cookware, utensils and dishes. The cabin boasts an updated half bath downstairs and a full bath upstairs. Bedroom 1 includes a Queen-sized bed, a set of bunk beds and a closet. Bedroom 2 includes two Queen sized beds and a closet. Chest of drawers for extended stays and all bedding is included in both bedrooms. Common area downstairs has a full sized sofa along with overflow dining. Ideal for a family with children or adults seeking a get away. Minimum 2-night stay. A charcoal grill and large firepit are available on site. This is a country cabin with Air Conditioning window units for cooling and space heaters for warmth in winter.

A community fishing pier is available throughout guests' stay and is located across the street. A Community swimming pool is available in the summer for guests to use. The Sam Houston National Forest has various horse and bike trails and is within walking distance. NOTE this is a small private lake with catch and release policy. Only NON-motorized boating is permitted with no swimming in lake.

The space
The cabin can accommodate 8 to 10 people especially if 2 kids bring a sleeping bag to sleep in the loft if adults use the single bed. For swimming, there is an outdoor pool. The lake is connected to the larger lake via an underpass under FM 1097 and boating is a lot of fun coupled with fishing (bring your own fishing poles). For bird watchers, the lake has small islands where birds nest. At night, you can hear bird and other water animal sounds including frogs. There is a charcoal bar-B-Q on the bsack porch with a table and 2 chairs. Additional chairs from the front porch can be moved to the back porch if required.
There is a boathouse across the highway where pontoon boats / jetski's can be rented (privately owned).

Access to the whole house but please stay away from going under the house and deck. No swimming is allowed in the lake. If you use a boat on the lake, please wear safety vests to prevent any water mishaps.
Common pool and Jacuzzi is for the guests of all cabins in suite. Use the pool towels in the closet

Other things to note
Be specially careful with the floor as it is faux covering over regular wood board and will scratch easily. Do not swim in the Lake. Can fish from the back deck or dock your boat next to the unit. The clubroom (restricted hours) has a large screen TV and a DVD player. There is also a walking machine, a pool table and a kitchen.
