We are on 6 acres. There is a trail that follows the creek and crosses several bridges. It is over half a mile long and has a scavenger hunt. Lots of trees, deer, birds, and squirrels to watch.

The Taylor's Whispering Pines is a log home in the piney woods of East Texas in the gated resort community of Holly Lake Ranch. The cabin is located on a secluded lot that is only two long blocks from the amenities of Holly Lake Ranch including the lake, park, courts, putt putt, hiking trail and much more.

This beautifully decorated rustic, yet modern, log cabin is perfect for families or couples that are looking for a romantic get-away. From the moment you enter the door, you will be encompassed with a feeling of welcome and relaxation.

This unique log cabin has 3 bedrooms and 3 full baths. With 2 king beds, 1 queen bed, and a pull out queen bed sofa and two memory foam rollaways stored in a closet, the cabin can sleep 9 comfortably. 9 guests is our maximum (we can not exceed 9) and there is parking for up to 5 cars.

The three spacious bedrooms offer smart televisions, and each has its own unique ensuite. One of the bedrooms is its own private suite located off the large covered back porch. The open concept kitchen is fully stocked with everything you might need to make your stay more enjoyable.

The living room is great for gathering or for enjoying the ambiance of the fireplace. In the mornings, you can enjoy your coffee on the back patio while wildlife watching. In the evenings, you can sit around the warmth of the firepit, or make s'mores with family and friends.

Just like Holly Lake Ranch, our cabin is for your families and friends to enjoy. Our cabin is not a “party house”; therefore, no loud gatherings, no events and no parties are allowed. Our custom log cabin and it’s upscale rustic decor & furniture is our personal weekend getaway home and we expect guests to take great care of it. Up to TWO dogs are welcomed to stay at the cabin but only if they are house trained (know to go outside) AND are NOT destructive. Dogs are NOT to be ever left alone in the cabin or a room unless they are in a crate.

For security, outside facing only cameras (Ring) are located on the outside of each exterior door of the cabin. There is also a Ring camera at the Barn door. They are not actively monitored.

Our 50 acre working farm with cows, pigs, goats, and chickens hosts 2 accommodations, a cabin and a farmhouse. You can rent one or both. Both offer on site fishing, row boating, hiking trails, campfires, outdoor grills, children's play structures, indoor and outdoor games, self-guided farm tours.

We do charge an early check in fee of $30 if you need to check in before 4:00 pm.
We also charge a late check out fee of $20 each hour after 11:00 am.

Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate any guests' animals, including ESA service animals. No animals of any kind are allowed. Violations will result in termination of stay and a $200 fine.

This rustic Log Cabin is the perfect piney woods get away. If you are in the area with family to see the Tyler Rose Parade or for a weekend with friends in Canton this is the best place to be. We are deep enough in the woods your closest neighbors will be some people in the surrounding cabins and cows across the street but close enough for you to enjoy all our wonderful local attractions of Tyler and the surrounding areas. The Log Cabin is 20 min from down town Tyler, 2 miles from Tyler State Park, half a mile from the world renown Tiger Wild Life Refuge and 4 miles from I-20, right in between Dallas and Shreveport about a hour and a half each way. Our Log cabin is complete with wifi and walking trails, fully equipped kitchen with new appliances and beautiful rustic home furnishings. We have a king bed in the loft and a queen bed down stairs in the bedroom while the fully furnished living room has a nice size flat screen TV (direct tv) with DVD player and a wood burning stove to keep you cozy. There is even a fire pit out back to enjoy the ambience of the Pines. It is the perfect Ritz in the woods and we would love to share our little piece of paradise with you.

The cabin itself sits on a flat, well kept, grassy field and the property around it has trees but the immediate area around the cabin is a clear field. If you’re into astronomy, this is far enough out of the light pollution of Dallas to give you great viewing on clear nights. The grassy field with no trees is perfect for higher angle viewing. Surrounding tree line on three sides is too high for objects remotely near the horizon but the skies overhead are clear and bright. Highly recommend this property for some couples down time. Enjoy."

We live on another part of our property and are available anytime during your stay. You may see us out walking, gardening or enjoying the Lake. We will respect your privacy during your stay! We are available by the message app anytime and will respond promptly! We do have smaller cottages/cabins on other parts of our property, you may see those guests out and about if you go exploring! The grounds, observation deck, and lake access are private to this home. It is waterfront and a popular fishing spot, so you will see boaters nearby fishing!
We also store our Personal boats on the Boat Dock, We may need to access them during your stay, we will notify you & walk around the outside to access if needed.

Lake Escape is located on a bluff overlooking the Lake, it is a STEEP Hill to get down to the house and you MUST follow the driveway and parking instructions to avoid getting stuck! 4 car maximum, any additional parking will need to be at the top of the hill!
We are also right under a Verizon Cell Tower and next to the City of Tyler Water intake Station, these 2 structures are visible from the house on either side, but do not obstruct the water views!

This luxury cottage is located on a high bluff overlooking the lake, which has amazing sunset views, however since it is natural shoreline there is no fence or railing on the edge and it’s a BIG DROP OFF to the lake. The lake below is rocky and shallow, this can be dangerous for toddlers or unsupervised children and we do not recommend young children. Any toddlers,children or even teens will need to be monitored at all times!! Private Hot Tub & Dock, with great lakefront access. Deepest part of the lake & great fishing spot.
We are in the woods and waterfront, we have chosen to maintain the natural beauty of the land and to help preserve the native Texas look. This allows for more fish and wildlife in the area and creates a Natural Texas Ecosystem. We have a variety of wildlife that visit regularly including Bald Eagles, deer, foxes, rabbits, all kinds of snakes, both venomous and non-venomous, raccoons, roadrunners, all types of texas birds and fish. We also have many insects on the grounds that are native to the woods, including ants, spiders,chiggers,and lakebugs (AKA as Mayflies) They are harmless, but will swarm around lights at night and will swarm inside if the doors are left open. PLEASE do not leave exterior lights on overnight & do not leave doors open. We have regularly scheduled pest control inside the home, but this will not prevent lake bugs from coming inside open doors at night. The spiders are attracted to the Lake bugs, and there will always be some spider webs on the porches and dock, this is normal and natural for Texas Lake life.

We store our personal boats on the Boat Dock and may occasionally need to access them. We will notify you and go around the back down to the Dock. Please Do not sit or climb on the boats in the stalls.

We are in the woods and waterfront, we have chosen to maintain the natural beauty of the land and to help preserve the native Texas look. This allows for more fish and wildlife in the area and creates a Natural Texas Ecosystem. We have a variety of wildlife that visit regularly including Bald Eagles, deer, foxes, rabbits, all kinds of snakes, both venomous and non-venomous, raccoons, roadrunners, all types of texas birds and fish.
We also have many insects on the grounds that are native to the woods, including ants, spiders,chiggers,and lakebugs (AKA as Mayflies) They are harmless, but will swarm around lights at night and will swarm inside if the doors are left open. PLEASE do not leave exterior lights on overnight & do not leave doors open. We have regularly scheduled pest control inside the home, but this will not prevent lake bugs from coming inside open doors at night. The spiders are attracted to the Lake bugs, and there will always be some spider webs on the porches and dock, this is normal and natural for Texas Lake life.

Welcome to our little blue cabin on Lake Holbrook. This cabin is located behind our house steps from the lake. Enjoy the sunshine on the dock where you can swim, catch fish, or bring your boat to fish! Located 5 min from downtown Mineola, enjoy exploring the many shops in town, movie theater, train station, speakeasy hotel, great restaurants, and art studio! Near Emory TX, visit Twigs home good store, or Lindale has the Pink Pistol. Travel 34min to Canton on Canton Trade days.
The space
This private cabin remodeled in 2022, has a king bed, a chair, a table for 4, a full-size refrigerator, a drip coffeemaker, a sink, and a stocked kitchen. There is a private full bath. Towels and extra sheets for queen air mattresses are provided. This home can sleep 2 comfortably and 2 on the floor. Watch the sunset and sip your favorite drink as you relax at the end of the day on the private deck or walk out onto the dock. Grill a steak on the gas bbq pit.
There is plenty of space to work remotely with fast-speed WIFI reaching even out to the dock!
Guest access
Ample parking in front of the cabin for 4 cars or 3 cars and a boat. The boat ramp is located nearby for easy access to the lake. Dock is shared by the owner when the owner is in town.
Other things to note
NO parties! No smoking of any kind. All outside activities are to be shut down by 10 pm. NO OPEN FLAMES. Follow all laws. No pets.
