A mini resort featuring three cabins, full kitchens, big bathroom, sleep up to 8. A swimming pool surrounded by a wooden deck, bbq picnic cabana, extra picnic tables and children's playground, a firepit for night fires with comfy furniture to enjoy the fire. Pets welcome A quick eight minute drive down on to the beach. Two minute drive to town. The harbor sits two minutes from here also for loading and unloading your boats. Plenty of parking area. Children and pets are welcome.

The living room has 1 sleeper sofas for extra guests. Tv w/satellite in bedroom and living room. Full Kitchen with full-size appliances fully stocked with everything you need to cook a great meal. Roomy bathroom with shower, all towels included. The bedroom has King bed with TV w/satellite. Free Wifi included. Beautiful 27' above ground pool with wrap around deck and BBQ cabana. Spend the day on the beach (8 minutes from cabin door) and come back and relax in the pool/bbq and watch the amazing sunsets we have here.

Feature's beautiful sunrise's and sunset's. Plenty of parking area for vehicle's and boat's. Each cabin has a small front porch with 2 chairs. Laundry mat on site. I live on the property so everything is safe and secure and no worries with any of your belongings in cabins or in boats parked outside cabins. I am available for all of your needs anytime. All children and pets are welcome.

The next to the last house on the Colorado River, and very close to the beach and jetty pier. Enjoy fishing on our pier, and a night spot light provides good fishing at night, especially sand trout during the summer. It is fully furnished with all kitchen utensils, and linens and towels are provided. We have free high speed Starlink satellite internet access (new for 2022), Dish network, and a washer and dryer is available for your convenience. In front of the house is a creek which runs out to East Matgorda, and is perfect for kayakers, and a great place to do some crabbing, also.

The property owner may occasionally be onsite, however they have a separate entrance and their quarters are closed from the main house. This is not the owners primary residence.

One of the last open ranges in Texas, This off grid accommodation can be found on the privately owned Matagorda Peninsula Island just 7 miles from the dock in Port O'Conner.

The one bedroom/one bath house has an open concept living/dining/kitchen area with a separated toilet and shower configuration.

A large covered back porch offers awesome sunset views.

The house is only accessible by boat or private plane.
Guest access
Access Matagorda Bay from the back porch. Transportation to access the beach and the back lakes is provided .

Transportation to the island from Port O'Connor is provided for an additional fee upon request at time of booking.
Other things to note
For guests arriving by private plane please note the following:
• Paved Runway available. Runway length is 3000 feet.
• No control tower or hangar available.

My place is close to The river, dock, gulf, East & West bays, River Bend Restaurant, beach.. You’ll love my place because of It is 10 steps from the river, dock, and fishing lights.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), big groups, and furry friends (pets).

The space
The "Nothing Fancy" River House is located on the Colorado River.

Other things to note
The house is located in a RV Park along the Colorado River. There is no central heat, small electric heaters are provided.

This mini resort is a peaceful fun place for adults and children and of course the pups. There is 27 ft above ground pool with a wrap around deck for some fun and play after a day on the sandy beach. Lawn furniture surrounds a firepit at the pool area along with a cabana for serving picnic outdoors. There is outdoor games upon request also. Joe and Grace are the resorts horses that love being petted and fed carrots and apples.
