- "The room was nice and comfortable. The restroom is unattached from the room. You have a short walk across the lot. The restroom floors and walls were dirty. The bathroom is small with no air conditioning. There was other entertainment equipment on the property that needed repair. The beds were comfortable and the ac in the room worked well."

Sweet Medicine is a Gorgeous Waterfront Cabin with stunning view at Geronimo Creek Retreat! Features: Fully furnished Cabin with stocked kitchen!

The cabin`s master suite has a king-sized bed and Smart TV. The loft has two additional queen-sized beds. The living area offers Smart TV, full size couch and love seat. Sweet Medicine Treehouse has a walk in shower, with a traditional wooden staircase to the loft (recommended for people with mobility restrictions, Prairie Flower, the neighboring cabin has a spiral staircase). There is a spacious deck with outdoor seating and eating areas. You can be assured the cabin has quality sheets, fluffy towels, and a coffee pot for your use.

Down below each Treehouse is a personal charcoal bbq pit, fire pit, picnic table, riverside hammock, and comfortable seating area.

*NOTICE: Treehouse cabins are directly connected to a neighboring treehouse and share the same spacious deck. The hot tub is shared by all resort guests.

- "My family and I really enjoyed our stay in the Sweet Medicine treehouse. It was very convenient being able to park right under the treehouse. While pulling in everyone was excited by the view of the property and the creek. My son and I were a little hesitant to get into the water at first being the only ones there at the moment. We did get in and were refreshed by the cool water. Soon the rest of the family joined. The kayaking was very fun although the paddle up the creek isn't very far. We saw plenty of wildlife consisting of deer, racoons, turkeys, fish and even snakes. There are signs on the property to watch out for the snakes so please do so, especially by the dock in the early mornings and evenings. It took a lot of courage but we did kayak at night which was probably the coolest thing with a bit of a creepy factor. You'll hear owls, see snakes swimming and the fish chasing/eating insects that get to close to the waters surface. Overall an AWESOME experience for everyone!"

We welcome pets but there is a pet deposit required and we request no pets on beds or couches. (See pet rules).

NO GROUP PARTIES, NO EXCEPTIONS, this cabin is for a couple or a couple with kids. NO EXTRA GUESTS for the day to BBQ, it is just for the 2 people who rent it, plus their little kids. It is not for 4 adults.

Come sit on the 400 SF dock of our Sliver Of The River on Lake Placid in Mcqueeney Texas! Fish or Kayak (river is low (no jumping off of dock) for dam repairs but we have added a ladder for access to swim and cleared vegetation so there is kayak access under the dock) or just snooze in the hammock. Large park like yard for kids/dogs to run around. (No fence though.) Up to 2 dogs under 50 pounds are allowed, must be listed and deposit paid. We have the cabin deep cleaned after each pet stay. Have dinner with a beautiful view of the river from the picnic table after you cook on the charcoal BBQ pit.
We are located 35 miles from the River Walk in San Antonio and 62 miles from Austin.

( Slope down to the river is rather steep and may challenge some folks walking back up.)

The water level in the photos are accurate. The water level has dropped 12 feet since March 2023, to rebuild the dam that created our lake. There is a certain flow requirement downstream from our property, so we maintain a minimum flow and consistent level/depth regardless of rainfall.

Depth varies from 4 feet at our stairs to >10 feet in the middle of the channel. Additionally, there's no boat traffic, so it's ideal for kayaking and fishing year round.

Water flow slows in warmer seasons, and plumes of button moss intermittently float up from the bottom, collecting at water's edge. We still swim among the button moss, but it may not be ideal for some. Unfortunately, there's no way to predict when it will emerge and how long it stays.

We love this place because it's quiet, near the end of a dead end country road with cows and lots of stars. But it's still super convenient (5 minutes) to many things like Walmart and HEB.

- "My husband and I sure enjoyed our stay! Perfect setup for a couple wanting to reflex and enjoy each others company!" - "Laura was spot on. Her descriptions were accurate, and her input about Seguin was most helpful. Everything was where she said it was and finding anything in the little house was trouble free due to the labeling of all the drawers and pantries. On the few times we did need to contact her the responses were lightnin fast. We did encounter a couple of issues, those bein in no particilar order were 1), our stay went by entirely to fast, seems like we blinked and poof, those 3 days and nights were gone and 2), the dadgum fish weren't bitin. We figured out how to rectify 1, and thats just to go back again, whch we most assuredly will, but 2, well, the fish bitin?, that's always just flat out luck of the draw. I do kinda think that if I DID catch me a couple of catfish that she was just friendly enough and eager enough to please that she may well have come cleaned em for me. I'll let y'all know about that after our next visit, cause Laura and Seguin aint seen the last of us by any means."

- "Quick and easy!" - "Overall my husband and I enjoyed our stay. The weather was great the first day so we spent the late afternoon walking around the creek with our 10 months old son. It was so peaceful to be away from the hustle and bustle of town. The next two days the weather was really cold and rainy so we spent the majority of the time inside our cabin. I was concerned that the cabin was going to be very cold, but the heater worked great. On our last day there, we drove into Seguin and stopped at a few boutiques and had lunch at the Burnt Bean. I recommend for anyone needed to get away for a day or two!"

Geronimo Creek is a spring, 1 to 8 feet deep creek, perfect for siting and cooling off or swimming. The fishing is fantastic with large catfish and bass! Guests will enjoy free kayak and paddleboard use, as well as a super fun rope swing. Families and friends spend countless hours here swimming, kayaking, relaxing, and having fun, in and along the banks of the Geronimo Creek.

At night, there are many fire pits located throughout the property where guests can hang out around the campfire under the stars, roasting marshmallows and having fun. There are also many picnic tables, BBQ pits, hammocks and comfy furniture located throughout the property to make your stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible.

Son’s Geronimo is great for small or large groups. We have 21 Birdhouse Cabins available on the property, with no limitations on the number of cabins that can be reserved.

Guest access
Upon arrival, Guests can park directly in front of their cabin and remain there if they desire during there stay or repark after unloading in one of the many parking area on the property. Guests are encouraged to explore and walk through the property. The creek and kayak stations are only a quick walk from the cabin and so are the pools, hot tubs, gameroom and other amenities.

Other things to note
We keep plenty of lifejackets, kayaks and paddleboards on site for guests to paddle and enjoy. From our kayak station, it’s a fun and gorgeous trip up the creek and back. There are some ancient, majestic live oaks up that way and it’s not uncommon to see raccoons, armadillos, squirrels, deer and more!

Son’s Geronimo is located on a quite road outside of Seguin, right on a section of Geronimo Creek that has been a longtime favorite Texas swimming hole! Locals have been coming here for decades to swim, fish and relax on the banks of the beautiful creek.

Across the road you is a hundred year old, German, nine-pin bowling alley and Dance Hall. Going inside is like taking a hot tub-time machine ride to the 50s! If you come with a large group, you can actually rent the entire place out for a very reasonable price! It’s called Laubach bowling Hall if you’re interested. Monday – Thursday is league night and guests are welcome to go inside, buy a beer, listen to the juke box and watch the locals give it their all in order to claim top team in their nine-pin league!

Right down the road is Blue Lotus Winery's tasting room and vineyard where you can try their locally grown and produced, tasty mead wines. A visit to Blue Lotus is always a great time! BS brewery is not too far away too and has a food truck, a charming outdoor sitting area with a playground for the kids to play while you try their beers!

Seguin has an HEB grocery store and a wide arrange of stores for convenience in case you need anything and New Braunfels is only a short drive away should you want to visit Schlitterbahn or catch a live concert at Gruene Hall! We are also only 5 miles from Son's Island (this area #1 attraction) and ZDT's amusement park, which has a small waterpark, roller coasters, amusement rides, go-carts and more! If you want to tube the river, Son's River Ranch is only a short, beautiful drive away and has excellent tubing & kayaking with shuttles as well as riverside Cabanas that you can rent for the day to hang out, BBQ and swim!
