The Cabin overlooks Southwood Lake which is a private Lake that does have a few other houses / Camps surrounding the Lake. Please keep an eye on children around the lake. The Cabin has a loft with a Queen Bed and a Sleeper sofa for extra guest / kids. The 2nd bedroom is down stairs with a Queen size bed. The bathroom has a full size washer and dryer. The living room has plenty of seating that can also be used for sleeping and resting with a beautiful view of Southwood lake right out of the back door. There is also a large Air mattress if needed for extra guest. The cabin is heated and cooled with a Mini Split AC unit that keeps the Cabin very comfortable for guest. Driving into the property is unique and fascinating and it will not take long to realize you will have great privacy. Starlink Internet is available for guest to browse the internet, stream videos, and watch Tv. Enjoy sitting on the old island right on the Lake and watch wildlife and the beautiful evening sunset. The lake is private and owned by one individual but there are a few homes surrounding the lake. Southwood Lake is rich in history and the Lake was built in the late 70’s. It is known for trophy bass, white perch, bream, and catfish. Feel free to fish from the bank at the cabin. Catch and release all bass. Ask about other fish limits if you are interested in fishing during your stay. Southwood Lake is a Private members only lake and our guest have the benefit of fishing the lake but must follow lake rules. Catch and release of all bass is strictly monitored and enforced. Southwood Lake is a beautiful sight to see. The beautiful drive to the Cabin on Turkey Creek rd. is fascinating and the family will love the possibility of seeing exotic wildlife just beyond the high fence on the way in. Fishing is allowed, but Catch and release all bass. Catfish, Perch, and bream can be kept. If you catch a trophy bass (MEASURE, WEIGH, AND HAVE A REPLICA MADE) Let them go to grow! There are plenty of places to park at the Cabin. The Cabin sits up looking directly over Southwood Lake with a Beautiful view and amazing sunsets! The heart of Natchez is only about 15 minutes from the Cabin. It is just a short fascinating drive to town.

Turkey Creek road is a hilly beautiful ride in. 4 wheel drive is not needed but the driveway at the cabin is steep and 4 wheel drive makes it a lot easier to leave without tearing up the driveway. A large 2wd truck may need to pick up a little speed to prevent spinning on the driveway. Turkey creek road is fine for any vehicle with some ground clearance that isn’t lowered. Any Car, truck, or SUV should be fine as long as they have standard ground clearance of most vehicles for the hills.

- "We made last minute reservations with changes. Chris was easy to work/contact and attentive. Definitely recommend." - "Very nice secluded cabin. Great place for your pets to run and enjoy. Very private and peaceful. Had issue with bed being too low to gound and host fixed it immediately. Deffinatly would recommend." - "This place was what we needed! Super secluded and peaceful! We sat on the deck and watched squirrels and enjoyed the breeze. We relaxed with movies inside. Totally furnished with all you need. Short drive back into Natchez if you need anything. Owner was quick to answer all messages and ask for input after our stay. I haven't had an owner this helpful and open-minded in a while. Heads up, dishwasher wasn't working during our stay, but hopefully he'll get that going quickly. Beds aren't the most luxurious but we slept well. The AC is on point! It keeps it quite chilly if that's your thing! I 100% recommend this cabin and will be finding a time to return!"

This is my little get away situated on 18 acres. You and/or the kids can sit back and catch hard fighting Hybrid bream one after another (CATCH AND RELEASE). The brand new cabin has all new appliances. It is 1 Bedroom, a large carpeted loft with a King mattress, 1 bathroom ,kitchen, Living room, , and a laundry / storage room. No expenses were spared when I built this cabin for my families getaway. St. Catherine Creek refuge is right down the road as well as some great restaurants.

The Natchez Retreat is a very peaceful property with a newly built cabin and pond. The 18 acres of property consist of mature hardwoods and an abundance of bedding area for Deer, Rabbit,Raccoons ,Birds, and other animals. The new pond is stocked with Hybrid bream and Largemouth bass that are fed 3 times a day by a timed feeder (Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner)! These aggressive fish go insane for some chow certain times of the year . The Cabin has 1 Bedroom Queen and a King sized mattress in the loft above it. 1 Queen, 1 King, Living room with Couch, 1 Full Bathroom with a shower, and a laundry / Pantry room. This property is truly a retreat that you have to see to appreciate. You will have everything you need to enjoy your stay. If something is missing that I need to add please let me know!

The entire property is available to use except for the shop and pond levee. Please stay out of the large shop behind the cabin and off of the pond levee. There are several trails throughout the property to walk and see. Enjoy!

I will do my best to give every guest their privacy. I may have to swing by and grab something from my shop or maintain the yard if a guest is staying for an extended period of time.

Robins lake road is a quiet country neighborhood with minimal traffic. The Natchez Retreat is secluded and very quiet most of the time.

It is approximately 10-15 mins from the city limits of Natchez and it is a beautiful easy drive right outside of the hustle and bustle. Not to mention nearly 30,000 acres of public land right down the road at the St. Catherine Creek refuge. Duck , deer, fish, or whatever else you want to chase are all within minutes.
There are tons of trails to wonder down to unwind and enjoy nature. There is nothing better than a walk with nature to get your day going. Pets are welcome but please make sure they stay with you and do not wonder off. If you enjoy bird watching you can do it right out of the window of the cabin as the birds play in the pond, gravel road, and fly from tree to tree right outside of the cabin window. You will occasionally see deer, fox, bobcat, raccoons, rabbits, squirrels, and much more cruising around the property.

Public Duck hunting , Deer hunting , fishing , and more all within minutes! Not to mention some of the best eating you can ever ask for!

Relax, unwind, and enjoy your stay.
We love animals but they tend to make a mess so please respect the cabin and do not let your pet inside if they are known for tearing anything up and please keep them off of furniture.

No swimming and please wear shoes while outside of the cabin.

Please stay out of the shop behind the cabin it is off limits and has surveillance.

Fishing Allowed- CATCH AND RELEASE only and please clean up any trash / fishing line.

Please stay off of the Pond Levee on the backside of the pond

House has large great room with cathedral ceiling and window with view of the forest. The property is located at the end of a 2 mile gravel country road that opens up into a beautiful parklike landscaped environment. It is scared and sereen with wildlife abounding. Wind whistles through the trees and the stars shine like white Christmas lights at night. Frogs are the primary noise makers in the pond. that is fully stocked. Little or no modern noise made by cars, tractors, trucks or airplanes. Historic town 15 minute away with tours, riverview restaurants and night life. Shopping in unique town settled in 1716 with horse drawn carriages close to the famous Blues Highway.
